"AAAAAH!"

Another object came and struck a bandit.

To put it simply, the bandits were slaughtered. Tanya did not even reveal herself, killing all of them without them seeing her. Thus, Tanya saved the day.

"Thank you for saving us, great benefactor! May we please have the honour of meeting you?" Captain w.a.n.g was tremendously grateful, falling to his knees and showing his thanks to this unknown benefactor.

"Sir, I believe one of the bandits said that the trees could speak… perhaps our benefactor is a tree?" The guard seemed sceptical of his own idea, nevertheless, no one knows until the know.

"Hmmm… you"re right. As martial artists, we should know that spirits exist in all forms and can cultivate just like us. I believe we have encountered a [Martial King] spirit. The spirit must be able to control all of the trees… bow down and show respect for the honourable senior!"

"Stupid." Tanya face-palmed, unable to take these martial artists seriously. Their deduction abilities seemed to be worse than the bandits.

"Yes. Thank you for saving us, senior!" They all bowed to the trees and did not move, hoping for some sign to show itself to them.

"Hmmm… maybe they will leave if I give them a sign."

"I wonder what [Avatar] would do when combined with a different spell… I still have yet to test it out."

"I"ll use [Shrubbery] and [Avatar] I guess."

[Shrubbery (high 1st tier spell) + Avatar (??? tier skill) = Plant Avatar (??? tier skill)]

Suddenly, a brief flash of light emanated from Tanya"s body as she morphed colours and formed into a green humanoid being, surging with energy and life force. With no clear gender, the form was dangerously beautiful in its s.e.xless nature, both elegant and powerful.

She walked out from behind the tree she had been hiding at and made herself known to the guards immediately.

"Greetings, mortals." Tanya spoke with a cold voice, showing authority in every word she spoke.

"Bring the madame! She must bear witness to the deity!"

"DEITY?!" A guard jumped backwards and felt his heart nearly explode from shock.

"This being is not a mere [Martial King]! It"s a [Martial Saint]! The power far outs.h.i.+nes the likes of mere mortal martial artists like us! We can only bow down and beg for mercy if we were to offend such a deity!" Captain w.a.n.g proclaimed with a zealous voice.

"How did they become more dumb?"

CLANK

The door to the carriage opened as a guard knocked twice. After a few moments, a woman of eastern origin came out and slowly approached the rest of the guards and Tanya.

"Captain w.a.n.g, I am glad you survived the attack. Is this the one that saved us from the bandits?" The woman asked, gesturing to Tanya.

"Yes, madame. This forest deity saved us from the a.s.sailants. They are truly a benevolent being."

"If I am correct, only [Martial Saint] spirits can take humanoid shape. But those beings no longer exist in this world. They are gone like [Sword Masters] and [Spice Lords]." Indeed, the woman was sceptical of Tanya"s ident.i.ty. She seemed to be of a rather important background, much more well-learned than most.

"Honourable benefactor, may I know your honourable name?" The woman bowed gracefully before Tanya.

"Why can"t they just leave? I would rather not have to keep track of many lies. It is far too troublesome. Nevertheless, they will not leave unless they know the name of their benefactor."

"I am known as Irena, Keeper of Land." Tanya could not help but feel embarra.s.sed of her acting.

"Thank you for saving us from the bandits, I promise my body and soul to repay your kindness. Please accept my allegiance." Tanya did not know what to make of this. These people are quite far from home if she remembered correctly.

"..."

"Why would I accept your allegiance?"

"I am the daughter of King Yu Ming and the mother of the daughter of Duke h.e.l.len of Lythia. I might not have much power right now, however, I am determined to do whatever it takes to get revenge for the deaths of my husband and father!"

"And what use are you to me?" Tanya asked, coldly.

"I came here to expel the rotting energy of malice from my domain. I have done so for myself, your lives are irrelevant to me. Leave before you taint my domain with your filthy mortal presence."

"Great Benefactor! Please accept my allegiance, I will do anything!" She fell to her knees and kowtowed onto the cold b.l.o.o.d.y gra.s.s.

"Very well. If you truly desire to become my servant, show your love for my domain and embrace it with all of your heart. Show me that you are now loyal to me." Tanya stretched her arms out and gestured to the trees, the gra.s.s, and the shrubbery. It was as if she had claimed them as her own. Such a ruse would be needed for this woman to finally go away.

"I just need to embrace any part of your domain?" The woman asked.

"Any part."
