Chapter 122: Chapter 122 – National Treasure
“Stand up!”
Ren Qingqing quickly pulled her sleepy roommate, Tang Yihan. More than two thousand people sitting in the auditorium stood up at the same time and stared at the stage intently.
It was the third day of school at The Tianjing Cultivators Inst.i.tute. Ren Qingqing and her roommate Tang Yihan were a.s.signed to a cla.s.s.
The courses they took were also similar to university-level modules in mathematics, physics, and organic chemistry. It was a huge torment for the liberal arts student, Tang Yihan, who dozed off right after cla.s.s started.
Although the courses were university-level, the frequency of cla.s.ses was not. Their schedules were fully-packed and similar to those of senior high school students. In the evening, they had to attend the “Aura Awareness” lesson conducted by their respective instructors. It was said that their schedules would remain that way for at least a week before they could begin cultivating.
Early this morning, more than 2,000 students were called into the auditorium to receive the princ.i.p.al’s speech.
It was also Ren Qingqing’s first time discovering that there were more than 2,000 students in the school, most of whom were peers of the same age as her. It seemed that they were basically college students or young people who had just graduated within a few years.
Ren Qingqing, who often paid attention to the news, naturally knew that Xuan Nation had established ten Cultivation Colleges, nine of which would only accept junior high school students.
Tianjing College was the only one that accepted adult students from all over Xuan Nation. They were all either highly-qualified or already Awakened.
Standing amongst such a huge crowd, Ren Qingqing naturally felt a little scared but she was looking forward to the future much more than she was afraid.
Ren Qingqing obviously knew the significance of being able to receive the most advanced cultivation teachings by inst.i.tutes in the capital.
“Sister Qing,” Tang Yihan whispered, “I heard that the princ.i.p.al is also a great Pract.i.tioner. Do you think he will appear?”
“He might be here for the imperial sword?” Ren Qingqing guessed.
Tang Yihan, “I wonder if he’s an old man. Or maybe he’s a super handsome guy with great hair and das.h.i.+ng looks.”
Ren Qingqing chided, “You’re so superficial, maybe Pract.i.tioners can modify their appearances.”
“Yes.” Tang Yihan nodded like a chicken pecking at rice. “By the time we become Pract.i.tioners, we won’t even need cosmetics to stay beautiful.”
Ren Qingqing began to feel a little tempted, and she wondered if there will be any factions in cultivation in the future. If there are, she must choose a biological faction. After all, she had always felt that her b.r.e.a.s.t.s were a tad bit too small.
At this moment, a wonderful change took place on the stage. Everyone watched in shock as a white light suddenly flickered in the air, weaving a human-like silhouette.
Within just ten seconds, a figure who looked like a young man stood behind the rostrum and stared at the 2,000-odd students.
“I am the princ.i.p.al of the Tianjing Cultivators Inst.i.tute, and my surname is Ren.”
The students did not see him speaking but his voice was already vibrating in their ears, giving them a great shock. They then stared at the white figure on the stage with great excitement!
“For special reasons, I can’t personally enter the school to teach you, but I will be teaching you from outside. I will be responsible for your learning, like all your training instructors.”
“As we all know, we are all going to enter a new era now. Be it students, instructors or me, we must all use the existing knowledge to become the ladder for acquiring new knowledge by ourselves. Scientific concepts and equipment are still the most useful tools for us, and systematic learning methods, are still a powerful weapon for us during our quest for knowledge about the world. ”
“In the face of a mysterious world that hides thousands of truths, you and I are students. There is a history of Taoism and a specialization in the art industry. Thus, there is no need to conceal one’s imagination. An imaginative mind and a hard worker are exactly what the school needs most. ”
The white figure seemed to have scanned his surroundings and scrutinized the students below.
“Everyone, please fight for the rise of Xuan Nation.”
The white figure then dissipated, while all the students and teachers amongst the audience put their hands together to applaud!
Tang Yihan said to Ren Qingqing with excitement, “It’s amazing! He actually used a clone to conduct the speech. Is this the ability of a Pract.i.tioner?”
Ren Qingqing answered, “Yeah, I didn’t expect the country to have masters of such a spell now… but don’t you think this spell seems a bit familiar?”
“What’s familiar?”
“It’s a bit like a simplified version of the ‘Phantom Extinction Stardust Fist’ that the Ren Family pa.s.sed on to their descendants, all the way to the sixth generation…”
“Have you been watching too much TV?”
——————
“I’m going home to prepare a lesson plan. I’m not free.”
Watching as Dong Chengling left, Ren Suo shrugged, put his hands in his pockets and headed to the canteen for supper.
Throughout the day, the students began to learn how to use the devouring method and entered the cultivation field in batches to try their hands at cultivation. Ren Suo also blended in as a “rescue school doctor” and enjoyed the free practice area for the entire day while wearing “Unlimited Energy”.
The cultivation field would either be closed or open for an entire day. The staff of the faculty would have to join the students if they wanted to use the free cultivating field without charge.
When Ren Suo went out at night, he happened to run into Dong Chengling, who had finished training with her cla.s.s. Hence, he decided to invite her to supper, during which they could have a chat and get closer to each other.
However, Dong Chengling turned him down mercilessly, and hence, Ren Suo didn’t make any further move. The fact that he could invite a woman to supper meant that he only saw her as an NPC, whom he was not romantically interested in.
Ren Suo ordered a pound of crayfish and licked his prawn while thinking about other possible solutions. At last, he concluded—
There was no solution.
Like Qiao Muyi, Ren Suo can only increase her favorability under the circ.u.mstances that the other party is willing to communicate.
Compared to Qiao Muyi, the best thing about Dong Chengling was that Ren Suo did not have any feelings for her and hence, he could tackle her without getting romantically involved.
However, Dong Chengling had a bad first impression of him and hence, was indifferent towards him. Thus, his attempt to communicate might be futile.
However, if he wanted to observe Dong Chengling’s awakening up close and save her from breaking her legs, he would have to be physically near her…
When the pangolin activates the spiritual treasure, it should be around 11 pm, and the red lotus aurora phenomenon will appear within the first five days of activation.
When Ren Suo finished eating the crayfish, he finally figured out a masculine solution.
Tailgating.
Anyway, the specific time can be speculated. He just had to be an idiot for one night, and his agenda would be achieved. That was actually considered to be easy.
After resolving a predetermined matter, Ren Suo went home happily to sleep.
Ren Suo waited until 5 in the morning when he acutely heard a beeping sound in the hall. He immediately got out of bed to play the game.
At this moment in “All-devouring Soul”, Old Zhao had already found Nine-tailed Fox and informed her that the national treasure had been delivered!
Nine-tailed Fox walked to the emba.s.sy hall with Xiao Lan, the little blue cat, only to see that there were more than a dozen national treasures contained in bullet-proof gla.s.s, displayed in the hall.
They seemed to be ordinary worn-out antiques but in the “Soul Vision” of Nine-tailed fox, they were absolutely stunning and attractive!
Among them, the most powerful aura belonged to none other than the three magical artifacts of j.a.pan!
