Chapter 601: Are You Still Leaving?
“That’s it.” Lu Ziming pursed his lips.
He had barely spoken to Huo Yao before she scared him off with her powerful aura.
“Who are you talking about?” Lu Xia could not help asking quizzically.
Lu Ziming was not close to Lu Xia, so he did not want her to know about him looking for Huo Yao and his failure to get her to talk.
Since He Xiaoman was in a bad mood, she said impatiently, “He was looking for Huo Yao.”
Lu Xia could not help looking annoyed the moment she heard this. Every time her mother picked her up recently, it was always because of Huo Yao.
Now even her biological little brother was looking for her.
What on earth was going on?
Had they found out that the Huo family was rich and wanted to get close to her?
Lu Xia shook her head in slight ridicule without asking further.

Huo Yao and Huo Yulin arrived home 20 minutes later.
Huo Jinyan and Song Ning had already received Huo Yulin’s call that he was coming home, so they were waiting at the villa for him. They had not seen each other for more than two years.
Song Ning’s eyes turned red the moment Huo Yulin entered the villa. She extended her hands and wanted to hug her son, but he dodged her.
Sadness swept across Song Ning’s eyes briefly. However, she put down her hands and pretended that nothing had happened. She pulled his suitcase into the house.
Song Ning was stunned to find the suitcase particularly light when she held it. A complicated expression appeared on her face. She seemed a little upset and disappointed amongst other emotions.
Huo Yao turned around after changing into her slippers and spotted her mother’s expression. She could not help feeling puzzled and said, “Mom?”
“Uh huh.” Song Ning composed herself and forced a smile before carrying the suitcase into the living room.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes. Her mother’s face seemed a little off. She turned to look at her third older brother while he spoke to their father. There was something amiss with her father’s expression as well.
There was clearly something going on.
Huo Yao entered the living room quizzically.
Huo Tingrui was told about Huo Yulin coming back, so he set aside his work and came back early.
The moment he saw his younger brother, he sighed as he patted Huo Yulin’s shoulder. “I’m glad you’re back.”
“Uh huh.” Since Huo Yulin was unaccustomed to physical contact, he instinctively cringed even when it was his second older brother touching his shoulder.
Huo Tingrui was aware of Huo Yulin’s habits, so he did not get upset by Huo Yulin’s reaction.
They sat in the living room and chatted while Huo Yao went to the kitchen to cut some fruit and brought it over. She sat down quietly and listened to their conversation.
Huo Tingrui sat with his legs crossed and hands on his knees as he looked at his younger brother and asked him. “Are you back for good this time?”
The moment he finished his sentence, Song Ning and Huo Jinyan looked at Huo Yulin. Song Ning was especially anxious.
She had discovered that his suitcase was particularly light when she helped to bring it in earlier, so she felt a little upset.
Huo Yulin detected his mother’s anxiety and suddenly felt a little guilty in his heart. He turned sideways and looked at his parents guiltily. “Mom, Dad, I’m so sorry...”
Song Ning choked the moment she heard him apologizing. She was doing her utmost to stop her tears from flowing out, but they trickled down her face uncontrollably. Before he finished his sentence, she said, “Are you still reluctant to come home?”
Her voice was filled with agony. Huo Jinyan’s eyes could not help turning red when he saw this, so he reached out to her, wanting to console her.
