Chapter 823: I Want To Retire In The Biology Department
Yi Lianfan looked at Huo Yao solemnly after recovering. “Are you trying to kill me?”
She was an outstanding top scholar with full marks. How could she have the cheek to claim that she was not good enough?
She was starting to get c.o.c.ky off late.
Huo Yao raised her brow slightly and looked proud.
Yi Feiyu squeezed his chopsticks and started to convince Huo Yao to join the Physics department. “Then again, Yao. Why don’t you just forget about Biology and join the Physics department? I am sure you can have your pick of whatever subjects the department has to offer.”
Although he was not in the Biology department, he had heard about it.
If the department did not think highly of the students, they would get dumped into Bioinformatics.
Huo Yao was an Arts student, but her Physics was outstanding. How bad could her Biology be?
He found it unfathomable that the Biology department teachers could be blind enough to disregard this top scholar.
Yi Feiyu shook his head inconceivably.
Huo Yao spoke in a m.u.f.fled tone with food in her mouth. “It’s fine. I want to retire in the Biology department.”
Yi Feiyu glanced at her furtively. Was she for real?
Yuan Xi came over with food. Yi Feiyu stopped trying to convince Huo Yao to join the Physics department now that Yuan Xi was back.
“I heard people talking about taking some extracurricular activities. What kind of extracurricular activities do we have? What did you join?” Yuan Xi asked Yi Feiyu as she ate.
Yi Feiyu adjusted his black spectacles and shook his head. “I am not interested, so I didn’t take any extracurricular activities.”
Over half the boys in Physics did not take part in any extracurricular activities. They had so much work to do for their courses that it was impossible to find time for it.
“Fine.” Yuan Xi turned to look at Huo Yao. “Yao, what about you…”
Since Huo Yao was more or less done with lunch, she put down her chopsticks. She turned her head sideways slightly and asked a practical question. “Is there any money in it for me?”
Yuan Xi was instantly dumbstruck by the question.
Huo Yao knew what the answer was the moment she saw Yuan Xi’s expression. She leaned into the seat lazily. “In that case, I’ll pa.s.s.”
Moments later, Yuan Xi finally snapped out of her thoughts. “… Although you won’t be paid, isn’t it a part of the whole college experience?”
Huo Yao raised her brow and answered. “I prefer to do nothing.”
Yuan Xi’s lips twitched. If any of the teachers heard what she said, they would probably cry.
Huo Yao’s phone rang in her pocket, and she took it out. After glancing at it, she contemplated for a few seconds and said, “Enjoy your dinner. I have to go.”
Yuan Xi looked at Huo Yao from behind and said sadly, “If I was a top scholar, I would want to do nothing as well.”
Yi Feiyu looked sideways at his cousin when he heard this. “What do you think about that?”
Yi Lianfan glanced at Yi Feiyu expressionlessly when Yi Feiyu suddenly asked for his opinion. “Do you have nothing better to do?”
Was he on the same level as Huo Yao?
Even if she did nothing, she was an incredible genius.
The moment he finished his sentence, Yi Lianfan put down his chopsticks and nodded to Yuan Xi politely before leaving the canteen.
Yi Feiyu touched his nose and explained to Yuan Xi. “Ever since he failed to do well during the national college exam, he has been acting weird. Just ignore him.”
Yuan Xi squeezed her chopsticks and asked quizzically. “Erm… what did you mean he didn’t do well?”
Did he not get accepted by Tsing University? He must have done fairly well to get in here.
Yi Feiyu said sadly, “He lost to the top Science scholar by one mark and didn’t do as well as he expected.”
Yuan Xi was speechless.
She was really sorry that she even asked.
