Chapter 595: Forging a Post-Creation Absolute Artifact
When Jiang Feng chose to evolve, he was not aiming for the Laws of Chaos.
He did not expect that he would gain the Laws of Chaos.
The main reason that he chose to evolve was for the two lottery draw chances. He wanted to draw another Craft-Profession Proficiency Scroll and level up his Smithing skill.
His current Smithing skill was only at Sacred level.
If he wanted to forge any Post-Creation Absolute Artifacts, he needed to increase his levels to Lesser Sacred Master.
The Laws of Chaos was just an accident.
When Huang Zhong saw that Jiang Feng had completed his evolution, he clapped his hands and congratulated him as he placed the bowl of peanuts aside, “Congratulations, s.h.i.+fter Emperor. With your current power, you will stand undefeated against anyone weaker than Rank Five Greater Sacred Master!”
Jiang Feng gave Huang Zhong a glance, and then saw the bowl of peanuts next to him. He rolled his eyes and thought to himself, ‘Thank you. But can you please not come any closer? I’m going to forge your equipment now.’
“Alright! Work hard! You must succeed!” Huang Zhong said as he tried to cheer him on.
And now, he wished that Jiang Feng could succeed with his forging.
Once Jiang Feng had succeeded, that would mean that he had a Post-Creation Absolute Artifact.
Post-Creation Absolute Artifacts were still very rare on Silvermoon. There would not be many of them even on Dragonquarry. If he could get one, he would have no more regrets in this world.
“Lottery!”
Summoning the lottery wheel and taking out all of his items that increase luck, he began to go for the lottery draw.
When he leveled up the Monster Trans.m.u.tation System, he was given one chance to draw. His evolution had given him two chances to draw. That meant that he had a total of three times to draw.
That was why he chose to use the double function and save one lottery draw chance. If he did not get it on the first draw, he could still bet on his second draw.
The indicator began to spin between the five sections.
After dozens of seconds, the indicator slowly stopped at the Special category and two prismatic treasure chests appeared.
When he opened the first treasure chest, there was a wooden doll in it.
When he opened the second treasure chest, there was a scroll in it.
Simulacrum Doll: Special Item
When used, create a complete wooden simulacrum of the owner which has 80% of the owner’s power. The death of the simulacrum would cause the item to be destroyed.
Craft-Profession Proficiency Scroll: Special Item
Increasing the proficiency of a Craft-Profession skill of your choice to its max level.
With his exploding luck, the chances of getting something he wanted were around 50%. He was not surprised that he would get something that he wanted.
What made him truly surprised was the Simulacrum Doll.
Using the item would allow it to become a clone of him that had 80% of his power. That would make it a little bit overpowered.
Even at 80% of his power, it would have the power of a Rank Seven Lesser Sacred Master. That would still make it more powerful than many players.
If that was the case, it would mean that he had another powerful helper.
He happily put away the Simulacrum Doll, and then used the Craft-Profession Proficiency Scroll and increased his smithing skill from Sacred level to Lesser Sacred Master level.
Once his Smithing skill had been increased, he then held Huang Zhong’s bow in his hand and was ready to have it upgraded.
He took out a carving knife and began to create slots on Huang Zhong’s bow.
In essence, it would be very difficult to level up Huang Zhong’s bow to a Post-Creation Absolute Artifact. However, by adding some things in, he could increase the bow’s quality.
He created three slots on both sides of the bow. He also carved out a small slot where the arrow would be nocked.
Next, he used the carving knife to carve some patterns on the body of the bow.
The patterns were carved in accordance with those on the teleportation circles.
It was not to give the bow the ability to teleport as it was impossible for weapons to have the ability to teleport.
The main reason was because of aesthetic reasons. Another point was that by adding some liquid metal into the patterns, they could be used to increase the bow’s ability.
The carving was quite simple and would not cause failure, nor would it harm the Artifact Spirit it held.
The next step was the most important, adding the ores that had been melted into the slots and patterns that he had finished carving.
Before working on the next step, he asked Huang Zhong, “What material was used to craft your bow?”
Huang Zhong gave it some thought and said, “The branch of the Tree of Life!”
‘Branch of the Tree of Life?’
Jiang Feng became elated, and he had increased confidence.
The Tree of Life had powerful life energy and could resist the attacks of all five elements. That meant that even if he were to pour in boiling liquid metal directly onto it, it would not burn.
Jiang Feng, with his confidence boosted, took out the Luck Stones, Soul Stones, and Heavenly Crystal Ores as well as the top-level ores and monster bones. He then summoned the Ghost-White Heavenly Ice-Fire to melt these materials.
As the materials all had their own elements, he had to be careful when melting them to stop their elements from clas.h.i.+ng with each other.
He spent almost two hours until he could finish melting all these items.
After melting them, he did not smelt them. Instead, he directly used Divine Refinement on the melted liquid.
Ding. System Prompt: Refinement successful.
As soon as the system’s voice was heard, the liquid metal that originally was the size of a watermelon had shrunk into the size of a fist and became pure silver in color. All its impurities had been removed.
After removing all its impurities, he changed Decide into a metal pen. He dipped the brush into the metal liquid and then drew following the patterns that he had already carved.
After a short while, the patterns all let out a glistening silver-white light.
After he had finished drawing on it, he took out the items containing the Laws of Wind and melted them all into six pearls, and slotted them into the slots on the sides of the body of the bow.
For the final step, he took out a few items containing the Laws of s.p.a.ce, and melted them to form one pearl. He then slit his wrist and bathed the pearl in his own blood.
The reason he did that was to increase the power of the Artifact Spirit within the bow. As he had the Laws of Chaos and it was within his body, doing this should be able to help the equipment somewhat.
In order to stop it from recognizing a master, he canceled it.
“Smithing!”
He looked at the silver bow in front of him, took a deep breath and used Smithing on it.
Rumble…
As he had used the Smithing skill, the silver bow in front of him let out a bright silver light and floated into the sky. The Heaven itself was suddenly filled with dark clouds as thunder sounded and lightning flashed. Bolts of lightning blasted onto the earth below.
“Haha! The Artifact Calamity! You are really good, s.h.i.+fter Emperor! If the bow manages to resist the Artifact Calamity, it would become a Post-Creation Absolute Artifact!” Huang Zhong cried out excitedly as he looked at the dark clouds and lightning that kept on flas.h.i.+ng in the sky.
Crack!
He then saw bolts of lightning blasting the silver bow in the air. Jiang Feng did not want his efforts to go to waste, so he used his s.p.a.ce Barrier to block dozens of lightning bolts.
Next, the second wave of lightning came. He used the s.p.a.ce Warp skill to negate the second wave of lightning.
There were only two waves of lighting for the Artifact Calamity. Once the two waves were over, a soft bolt of electricity shot down from the sky and entered into the silver bow.
Ding. System Prompt: Congratulations on forging a Post-Creation Absolute Artifact. As you are the first player to have forged the Post-Creation Absolute Artifact, you have been rewarded with 10,000 Three Worlds Reputation, 10 Heavenly Saint level ores, and 100 drops of Sacred Blood!
