Chapter 1103: Lady Orc
The following days were more peaceful.
Every day, w.a.n.g Yu would happily complete quests with the rest then go around looking for BOSS to get equipment, living happy days.
Peaceful times always pa.s.sed very quickly. In a blink of an eye, more than a month had pa.s.sed.
By then, w.a.n.g Yu had already jumped from level 55 to level 59 and the rest of Quan Zhen Sect on average, had jumped from level 50 to level 55.
Well, after level 50, the XP needed for players to level up increased greatly again, to an incredibly huge number.
Based on the quest XP they got, it was already considered fast to level up once every week.
In fact, Twilight City’s players had a lot more advantage than other main cities’. As levelling up was tougher and there was the great awakening challenge, a lot of people were stuck at level 50.
The top-level players in the game were around level 52 only and these were already the experts who could complete the awakening quest.
…
“Everyone, let’s go for a drink…”
At the Dusk Mountain Range, Quan Zhen Sect had just completed the last level 50 quest and was sent to the exit where Fearless habitually said his pet phrase.
“No, scram!” the rest responded to him simultaneously as usual.
“Boring…” Fearless reb.u.t.ted, then asked, “Where are you guys going next? Bring me along!”
Fearless always drank alone so he wanted a change of fun.
Ling Longmeng was holding on to Yang Nuo and said, “We are going to shop at the Trading Street. I heard that there’s a new tailor there who can make fas.h.i.+onable clothing. Do you want to go?”
“Not interested!” Fearless shook his head.
With regards to fas.h.i.+onable clothing, unless it was a special item dropped by a BOSS with some special effects, those sold at the shops and made by players, were just for appearance and had no attributes. Fearless already felt good-looking enough so obviously, there was no need to spend money on dressing up.
Furthermore, it did not make sense to let the women pay if he was shopping with them. No matter how shameless Fearless was, he did not do such things. Hence, the best decision was to not go.
“I’m going to an auction to see if there’s any good equipment. Want to come?” Frost Blade asked while caressing the dagger in his hands. “Nope…” Fearless shook his head again.
Fearless was only into sales with no cost so Frost Blade’s middleman role of buying cheap and selling at a high price was not his style.
As for the rest, they were either going to the PVP arena to get some points, making poison at the goldsmith, and the useless ones like Vainglory, they were going to roam the streets to look at pretty girls.
Such meaningless things were not any better than drinking alone in a tavern and hear people bluff about things.
“How about you, Old Bull, what are you going to do? Bring me along?” Fearless looked at w.a.n.g Yu last.
“Me…” w.a.n.g Yu opened his arms and said, “Try to level up…”
“Sh…” Hearing what w.a.n.g Yu said, everyone took a cold breath in.
Being hardworking is not a scary thing, it is only scary when a better person is more hardworking than you.
After their surprise, Fearless wiped his sweat and said, “Brother, you don’t have to work so hard…”
“Hehe!” w.a.n.g Yu chuckled, “I’m going to reach level 60 soon.”
Level 60 was another bottleneck after level 50. At level 50, they learned awakening skill but at level 60, players will learn the final skills of their main job.
Now that w.a.n.g Yu was approaching the sixtieth level–mark, the little XP he gets from completing quests with the rest was insufficient. He would have to wait for at least a month before he could learn the ultimate moves.
w.a.n.g Yu was pa.s.sionate about martial arts and enjoyed the process of becoming strong. Hence, it was natural he eagerly wanted to find out what the ultimate moves were for his main job.
“Ha!” Fearless had been playing games for years so he naturally knew how it felt to be closer and closer to his goals. He then waved his hand and said, “Work hard, we shan’t disturb you.”
After he spoke, everyone said their goodbyes and went their separate ways.
Seeing everyone leave, w.a.n.g Yu rejuvenated his spirits and cracked his fists before walking along the Dusk Mountain Range towards another direction.
The Dusk Mountain Range was the important route at the intersection of Twilight City and a main city of the Darkness Faction. Pa.s.sing by it would lead to the Darkness Faction’s Salat City.
Salat meant the end of light in the mainland language of <> and was also known as the darkness after twilight, so it was a very apt name for their geographical locations.
At the Dusk Mountain Range, it was already along the edge of Twilight City. The monsters here were all around level 70 monsters, Dusk Loner, and level 80 monsters, Dusk Hero.
These two monsters were in human form and were a.s.sa.s.sins so their agility and attack strength were relatively high, and their AI was not subpar too. To normal players, such monsters were tougher to deal with than regular BOSS and were practically a nightmare but to w.a.n.g Yu, these were an easy feat.
Well, w.a.n.g Yu’s kung fu was designed to tackle humans so monsters in human form with high attack and low HP were the perfect target for him.
Even though their levels were pretty far apart, w.a.n.g Yu killed them easily.
Such high-level practice regions had no people. Even if there was no one to compete with w.a.n.g Yu for the monsters, with such a high level, the rewards from the monsters were quite significant. Watching the slow progress on his XP bar, w.a.n.g Yu felt happier and happier.
“I’ll definitely bring my XP to fifty percent today!”
w.a.n.g Yu was determined so he attacked even harder, causing the monsters to yell in pain pathetically.
However, just as w.a.n.g Yu was excitedly killing, suddenly a player stumbly ran over from Dusk Mountain Range.
That player had green oily skin and two overturned decayed teeth. Obviously, that was the ugliest race in the game, the Orc Race.
However, looking at that person’s figure, voluptuous in the right areas, that was a lady.
Looking at that Orc, w.a.n.g Yu was stunned for quite a bit.
d.a.m.n, because of how ugly the Orc Race was, they were known to not attract female players and were known as the enemy of females so it was unexpected that this lady had such a strong taste.
That woman was quite shocked to see w.a.n.g Yu too.
After all, this was a level 70 to 80 practice region and sp.a.w.ned monsters of high attack and agility so to players now, this was a very dangerous place but yet, there was someone practicing here. It was indeed surprising.
However, very quickly, that lady recollected herself and frantically asked w.a.n.g Yu, “Can you help me…”
“F*ck…”
It was his habit to be free and easy so w.a.n.g Yu did not like interfering in others’ business. However, this was in the game and it was a lady in front of him. Although he did not know what was going on, he nodded gently and pointed at the route behind him and said, “Follow this road and it will be Twilight City. I just cleared the monsters here; you won’t be in danger.”
