Chapter 1127: Successful Clearance
“Ah?”
Hearing what w.a.n.g Yu said, Mystery Observer was slightly taken aback before reminding him, “But that was the critical kill effect!”
The critical kill effect was not something that could be induced as and when a user wished. Not only must the player’s standards be extremely high, the angle and force behind the attack had to be 100% concentrated on the target’s vital part. Most importantly, the BOSS’s HP had to be at a critical point.
Therefore, ordinary players who wanted to induce the critical kill effect on their opponent had to submit to the will of heaven. The probability of that happening was even lesser than managing to retrieve a peak grade equipment.
If the critical kill effect could be easily induced, what was the point of having BOSSes around in the future?
From the earlier battle, it was clear that Hasma’s critical HP was around the 30% mark. With such a ma.s.sive figure, n.o.body knew where the vital part of Hasma was. Even if they determined it to be the neck, using sufficient strength to cut through his neck was definitely not going to an easy task.
After all, Hasma was an active BOSS who would be running and jumping around. He was never going to stand there for others to attack him fearlessly.
Of course, it wasn’t going to be easy even if he was simply standing still. Without professional training, it would be hard for ordinary players to mark out the exact same spot to slash.
From w.a.n.g Yu’s tone, it felt as though inducing the critical kill effect was as simple as chewing food… Does this fella even know anything about the critical effect? From the level of gaming knowledge displayed by this fella, it seemed almost possible.
When faced with Mystery Observer’s questioning, w.a.n.g Yu shook his hand as he casually brushed it off with a smile, “Isn’t it just the critical kill effect… I know my own limits.”
“Stop joking with me…” Mystery Observer pouted, “I really don’t want to be killed by the BOSS again.”
Mystery Observer was still fearful of death after how he was killed earlier.
“Really?” w.a.n.g Yu’s face turned black as he sneered, “If you don’t want to be killed by the BOSS, could it be that you want to be killed by me?”
w.a.n.g Yu was never the type of person to force others. However, this Mystery Observer fella had been extremely pessimistic about everything from the very beginning of the quest.
The success of a dungeon was heavily dependent on the players’ att.i.tude. It was fine if a teammate with such bad att.i.tude died earlier on but if such att.i.tude spreads to others, they could easily fail the quest even if they had the potential to succeed.
w.a.n.g Yu was basically trying to beat some sense into Mystery Observer.
He was, after all, still the leader of a ma.s.sive guild. How can he be this cowardly?!
“F*ck…”
The moment w.a.n.g Yu said that, Mystery Observer and the two others’ necks retracted as they couldn’t help but feel their bodies s.h.i.+vering. They had almost forgotten the fact that this Pugilist in front of them was scarier than any known BOSS in this game.
It was a clear choice between getting killed by a supreme player expert or a BOSS.
Furthermore, a BOSS will never hold a grudge but it may not be the same for a player…
“Let’s go… Let’s go.”
After being frightened by w.a.n.g Yu, Mystery Observer became much more obedient as he quietly walked over to the stone wall.
Seeing how Mystery Observer admitted defeat, Unfathomable Mystery swallowed his saliva as sweat started to form on his palm. He asked, “So do we start engaging the monsters now?”
“Let’s engage!” w.a.n.g Yu nodded.
Unfathomable Mystery and Five Flagtree raised their bows and started firing arrows at the two BOSSes.
Hasma and Bradley, whose aggro were once again drawn in, roared and charged towards them.
“Brother Bull, please be careful!”
When the BOSS started charging over, Unfathomable Mystery warned w.a.n.g Yu before running away with Five Flagtree.
w.a.n.g Yu charged forward to block Bradley and Hasma from the front.
As gate guarding BOSSes, their strengths were not the frightening aspect. Their most frightening aspect was their disgusting abilities and characteristics.
w.a.n.g Yu was not having any trouble dealing with Hasma like before while Unfathomable Mystery and the two others were hiding behind the stone pillars. With their excellent coordination, it didn’t matter how Bradley attacked them because it was to no avail.
Perhaps the summoning of the departed spirits was slightly more problematic. However, with Mystery Observer handling that, it wasn’t impeding or disrupting their initial plan.
Even so, a plan like this required them to hide every now and then which made their attacks much slower than when they worked together with w.a.n.g Yu. However, it wouldn’t be realistic for them to kill a BOSS too quickly as well.
Suffering the attacks from Unfathomable Mystery and Five Flagtree, Bradley’s HP decreased gradually while w.a.n.g Yu had already managed to reduce Hasma’s HP to around 30%. Following which, he stopped attacking him and started leading Hasma in circles.
10%
5%
…
1%
Under the constant attacks from the two of them, Bradley’s HP was eventually cleared as he fell to the ground. Their gazes s.h.i.+fted immediately towards w.a.n.g Yu and the 30% HP Hasma.
Once w.a.n.g Yu saw that Bradley fell to the ground, he instantly dodged past Hasma’s sickle and got behind him. Leaping forward, he managed to jump onto Hasma’s neck and clipped both his legs around it. Using his left hand to press on the crown, he swung the sword in his right hand across Hasma’s neck.
-2700000!
Critical kill!!
A ma.s.sive number float above Hasma’s head and he fell to the ground right next to Bradley. Both BOSSes turned into white light, left a pile of items behind before disappearing in front of everyone.
“F*ck!!”
Seeing how w.a.n.g Yu really finished off Hasma with one slash again, Mystery Observer’s jaw almost dropped to the ground. Unfathomable Mystery and Five Flagtree were stoned too. Fortunately, they had prepared themselves mentally. Otherwise, they would have reported w.a.n.g Yu to the game masters for hacking.
Isn’t it just critical kill… w.a.n.g Yu was the legendary master in the world of martial arts where he could do as he pleased and still be successful in every endeavor. His control of force and accuracy of strike was something he prided himself in.
Being able to kill Hasma once meant that he could kill him two or three more times without any problem.
After both BOSSes died, w.a.n.g Yu was still frowning as he looked towards where the BOSSes disappeared.
This was a dungeon quest so why weren’t the corpses of the BOSSes left behind? Logically speaking, only wild BOSSes would disappear after being killed.
“What did they drop? What did they drop? Brother Bull… Why are you simply staring blankly?”
Mystery Observer and the others disrupted w.a.n.g Yu’s train of thoughts.
w.a.n.g Yu focused as he turned to the items left behind by Hasma.
Fighting so hard to kill the BOSS and to complete the dungeon was solely for these items. Challenging such a high-level dungeon and the fact that it was the first attempt meant that the items dropped by the BOSS were certainly going to be of high value. It was no wonder the three of them would be so excited.
At the thought of this, w.a.n.g Yu smiled as he picked up the items on the ground and showed their attributes.
