Chapter 1307: Laying Out The Battle Plan
“It’s not high, it’s not high!” Captain Don’t Open Fire hurriedly replied.
This was more or less the price for hiring experts. Furthermore, there was w.a.n.g Yu, who was an expert amongst experts, within Quan Zhen Sect. Thus, the price that he was paying was definitely worth the value.
“Last point!” Fearless emphasised abruptly, “With regards to this quest, I must have absolute command over everyone.”
“That is even less of a problem!” When Captain Don’t Open Fire heard this, he revealed a look of joy.
Fearless’ leaders.h.i.+p standard was similar to w.a.n.g Yu’s combat standard, and were both overwhelmingly domineering.
Even if Fearless didn’t mention it, Captain Don’t Open Fire would still have given all of the commanding authority over to him. Thus, he naturally wouldn’t reject such a condition.
“Since we do not have any disagreements, you can go and start gathering the necessary players.” After finis.h.i.+ng his sentence, Fearless added, “They must be trained in battle formations and the ratio of Priests to Guardians has to be 1 : 1. Thirdly, the more Magicians you can get, the better. And lastly, I will need a hundred a.s.sa.s.sins that can fly.”
Upon hearing Fearless requirements, Captain Don’t Open Fire was slightly troubled, “It’s still manageable for me to find players that are trained in battle formations… but a.s.sa.s.sins that are capable of flight… you should know that my guild does not have many players that possess capes.”
Capes were a relatively rare equipment. Thus, not every guild was similar to Quan Zhen Sect in which every player possessed one of them.
Even with Captain Don’t Open Fire’s extravagant means, the number of players within Void Blade that possessed capes didn’t exceed over a hundred, much less asking him to find a hundred a.s.sa.s.sins that did.
“Then how many are you capable of finding?” Fearless asked, after pondering over the problem.
Captain Don’t Open Fire thought about it for a moment before answering, “50 players at most!”
Thankfully, amongst all of the job cla.s.ses, the number of a.s.sa.s.sin players were the largest and thus, the number of experts amongst them was the highest. Otherwise, it would be too difficult to even find 50 of them.
Fearless frowned and said, “It’s fine if it is just 50. However, are you able to guarantee the standards of these players?”
“Naturally!” Captain Don’t Open Fire replied with confidence, “They are our guild’s top experts.”
“Then that’s fine!” Fearless nodded his head and added, “You can go ahead first and gather the necessary people. You have to be quick as the quest is time-restricted.”
“En!”
After giving his acknowledgement, Captain Don’t Open Fire hurriedly dashed out of the bar.
Upon seeing Captain Don’t Open Fire’s departing figure, w.a.n.g Yu was extremely pleased with the current situation.
It was clear that they were the ones looking to others for help, and yet with a few words from Fearless, the situation had turned into one in which they were selling a quest to someone else. To think that the pitiful Captain Don’t Open Fire would have to cough up gold even after putting in the effort to gather the necessary people for the quest.
While w.a.n.g Yu was feeling satisfied, Fearless had blasted a message in the guild chat, “Everyone, get your *sses over to the bar, we have a quest to do!”
After reading this message, the bunch from Quan Zhen Sect, who were lazing around and had begun insulting one another in the guild chat, all asked simultaneously, “What quest? We won’t be bothered with ordinary quests!”
“It’s definitely not an ordinary one!” Fearless gleefully smiled as he shared the details of the quest in the guild chat.
Upon reading the quest content, everyone was momentarily stunned.
F*ck, killing 50000 Pirates within 24 hours? This was definitely not an ordinary quest, it was a perverted one.
After a long while, everyone recovered from their shocks. Ming Du took the initiative to ask, “Surely you didn’t accept this.”
“Nonsense! Can’t you see that it’s a City Lord quest? It’s Old Bull’s!” Fearless answered in dissatisfaction.
Upon hearing this, everyone started clicking their tongues in response and said, “Tsk, tsk! We knew it! You are definitely not the type to accept such a quest.”
Fearless replied, “Enough bullsh*t, hurry up and get over here, the quest is time-restricted!”
As he was speaking, Fearless appeared to have suddenly thought of something. Shortly after, he tagged Spring Halo in a message and said, “Brother Spring, do you have any poison on you?”
“Nonsense! That’s an insult to my profession! Speak, what poison do you need?” Spring Halo replied in an arrogant manner.
Fearless answered, “The kind that can kill instantly!”
Spring Halo raged, “B*stard, can you stop fooling around!”
Shamans were known for their extraordinarily weak damage outputs. The common poisons that they possessed belonged to either of two categories. The first were those that slowly dwindled small amounts of HP points of the target, while the second were those that either reduced the attack or defense of the target. The more special ones were those that reduced the target’s speed. Asking for a poison that could instantly kill the target on the spot was simply a fool’s dream.
“Hehe!” Fearless smiled and said, “Medicine that could weaken the targets.”
“That’s more like it!” Spring Halo asked, “How many do you need?”
“Bring as many as you can!” Fearless asked shamelessly.
“Will I be paid for it?”
Medicine that could weaken its target could be considered a relatively rare poison, thus the price of them wasn’t cheap either. Even someone as rich as Spring Halo wouldn’t casually take them out for use. After all, what a Shaman used wasn’t poison, it was money.
“Is ten thousand gold enough for you?”
“Ha ha! What are you saying? How can I, as your brother, pester you over such a small sum of money, just wait for me to deliver it over to you…”
…
With so many players in a large guild like Void Blade, finding a thousand experts was still an easily achievable feat. The headquarters of Quan Zhen Sect was also relatively near the bar, thus it wasn’t long before the bunch from Quan Zhen Sect made their way over.
A while later, a group of a thousand players gathered at the central main street.
The central main street was under the supervision of Sanguine Alliance. As the Sanguine Alliance were at odds with Void Blade, if it was not for the fact that there were Quan Zhen Sect players tagging along, there would definitely be problems arising between the two guilds at this moment.
Under the lead of w.a.n.g Yu and Fearless, fifteen minutes later, the group of them arrived at the landing zone outside of Harbor City.
After looking at the nearby Harbor City, Captain Don’t Open Fire started to feel a lack of confidence in this attack of theirs.
As the head brain of a large guild, Captain Don’t Open Fire was still considered capable in his own right, and had some basic understanding towards battle strategies.
The defense of Harbor City was similar to that of an iron bucket. Wanting to defeat an enemy of 50000 pirates with just 1000 players seemed a little too good to be true.
Thinking up till this point, Captain Don’t Open Fire asked, “Boss Fearless, with just our 1000 player strength, are you confident of winning this?”
“Of course, why else would I get all of you to come over here,” Fearless coolly replied.
Captain Don’t Open Fire asked in a panic, “But there are 50000 pirates, isn’t 1000 players too few to deal with this quant.i.ty?”
“It’s not too few, too many and it would seem like we aren’t confident.”
“On the contrary, I feel less confident with so few players…”
…
At this moment, w.a.n.g Yu interrupted and asked, “You aren’t thinking of directly killing our way in, right?”
“Of course not!” Fearless turned around to the ma.s.ses and said, “Those that can fly, step out!”
On the way over, Captain Don’t Open Fire had already instructed all of them to listen to Fearless’ instructions. Thus, the moment Fearless finished his sentence, tens of players stepped out from the crowd.
These players were all equipped with top-tier equipment and all revealed proud expressions. Regardless of whether they had the skills to meet the requirement, the standards of their equipment certainly had.
After glancing at these players, Fearless said, “Everyone shall rest at this location first. Brother Spring and Old Fisher, you two will enter the city first with Old Bull, be prepared to get your hands dirty.”
“Prepare to get our hands dirty? How do we prepare?” Spring Halo asked, confused.
Fearless took out a simple map from his inventory, before pointing at a location on it and said, “There is a water filter machine in the middle of the city square, that is where they get their drinking water from. I would have to trouble Brother Spring to toss all of your weakening medication into it.”
Shortly after, Fearless pointed at the location of the lookout posts and said, “This is where the lookout post is located. There is an alarm system on top of it. Old Fisher, you will go and destroy the alarm system! As for Old Bull, you are to ensure the safety of both of them!”
