Chapter 1432: Feather Descending Wind Stamp
G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand’s eyes glowed in delight when he saw the skill book. He quickly clasped his fist towards Fearless, “Boss Fearless, loyalty!”
Fearless waved his hands, “Don’t talk to me about loyalty! Quickly learn that skill or I will take it back once I regret my decision.”
“Hehe!”
G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand chuckled as he slapped the skill book to turn it into white light. The white light entered G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand’s body.
The others couldn’t help but inquire after hearing their conversation, “What skill is it?”
“Haha!”
G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand smiled pridefully as he finally revealed the attributes of the skill.
[Feather Descending Wind Stamp]: Pa.s.sive skill. Three consecutive jumps which cover a total distance of 1200. MP exhaustion: 200 Cooldown Time: 10 seconds.
Three consecutive jumps!!
Everyone was incredibly envious once they saw the attributes displayed by G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand.
In <>, the judgement of jumping and rolling was the same. It would not be restricted by the movement speed.
This meant to say that whether it was an agility-type or power-type Archer, there was no difference in the speed of jumping and rolling.
Even if one was. .h.i.t with a speed-reduction skill, the speed of jumping and rolling would not be affected.
Because of this, the use of jumps and rolls was extremely important in a battle.
Rolling was a unique skill which allowed the user to become invincible during the roll. However, in a virtual reality game, rolling in the game required similar skills as compared to rolling in reality.
Unless one was a professionally trained expert like w.a.n.g Yu, it was exceedingly difficult for an ordinary person to roll in the manner w.a.n.g Yu did.
In comparison, jumping was a much more convenient skill. Whether it was dodging someone’s attack or opening up the distance, one would need the support of jumps.
However, jumping skills in the game were limited. Even with the running-a.s.sisted jump, the upper limit was merely 500. A fixed jump during battle had a limit of only 200.
In <>, with the exception of close-combat jobs like Pugilists and a.s.sa.s.sins, Knights and Warriors had an average range of 500 for their attacks. 200 range jump was evidently not sufficient to get out of the attack range.
Even though there were two consecutive jumps skills in the market, such skills could not be sought after. Even among professional experts, such a skill would usually be allocated to the agile jobs. Moreover, a poor guild like Kingdom of h.e.l.l would, at the very most, have merely heard of it before.
One could understand why they were feeling this way when they saw that the skill in G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand’s hand was even greater than two consecutive jumps.
One must know that the distance between oneself and the opponent was one of the most important factors during a battle between Archers. This was especially important for a heavy bowman like G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand. The further his distance from the opponent, the safer he was going to be.
G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand sacrificed his agility and speed to attain formidable strength so it made it easy for others to close in on him.
If a Knight or Warrior closed in on him, G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand could still use his mighty strength to put up a good fight. However, if an a.s.sa.s.sin closed in on him, he could neither escape or defend properly so he could only await his death.
With this three-consecutive jumping skill, he instantly possessed a 1200 range in terms of his distance from the opponent. This was equivalent to adding oil to one of the most dangerous machines and the resulting reaction should be exceptionally frightening.
Just try imagining how frightening a power-type Archer was given the fact that he could open up his distance at will.
It was no wonder Fearless mentioned that he would regret his decision. If such a person was his friend, it wouldn’t be a problem. If he was an enemy, he was truly going to be a difficult one to deal with.
Of course, Fearless trusted G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand’s character. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have handed that skill to him.
Just when everyone was envious of G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand, w.a.n.g Yu asked, “So what are we going to do next?”
w.a.n.g Yu was a freak who possessed qing gong and was capable of executing four consecutive jumps. Hence, he wasn’t too surprised or amazed at G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand’s newly acquired skill. In contrast, he was more interested in the next phase of the quest.
“Let me see!”
Fearless took out his map upon hearing w.a.n.g Yu’s question before clicking on ‘use’. At the same time, a map choice appeared in front of everyone’s operation column.
Once they clicked on it, the map of the entire Inferno Palace appeared in front of them.
“F*ck! What a ma.s.sive map!”
Everyone was dumbfounded when they saw the map of the Inferno Palace.
Up till now, everyone had travelled across three scenes and cleared two BOSSes. From the map, it seemed like they merely cleared one-tenth of the journey. Evidently, this hidden dungeon was going to be much more troublesome than they first imagined.
Who knew if this Raging Flames Monarch was truly trapped here? It seemed like a blessing to be able to be trapped in here with so many subordinates.
Looking at the ma.s.sive map, G.o.d of Death’s Left Hand scratched his chin and said, “It seems like this dungeon cannot be completed in one day. We better find a saving point.”
A saving point only existed in a high-level dungeon.
As players’ level increased, the difficulty of games in the later stages would increase as well. A saving point was similar to a resurrection point where players could save the progress of their dungeons there.
This way, as long as they didn’t leave the group, they could continue the dungeon from where they left off even if they went offline. In fact, they could even return to their city to purchase replenishments before coming back to the saving point.
Otherwise, a dungeon without saving point would result in a restart.
“Makes sense!” Fearless nodded his head as he ordered, “Everyone, look around to see if you can find any saving point.”
“En, alright!”
Everyone started searching around when they heard Fearless.
Only w.a.n.g Yu stood there cluelessly, “What is a saving point?”
“…”
Everyone kept quiet.
Who would believe that this idiot is actually the number one expert in the game…
“It is like a teleportation formation,” Fearless replied faintly.
“You’re talking about this?” w.a.n.g Yu looked at the map before pointing at a lava pit.
“???”
Everyone quickly followed w.a.n.g Yu’s finger and they saw a fire red lava.
“There is nothing ah!” They rubbed their eyes and said, “Old Bull, are you sure?”
“All of you have no professional training which explains your poor eyesight!” w.a.n.g Yu continued, “Fearless, put on your spectacles and see for yourself!”
Fearless quickly took out his spectacles before looking towards the same direction. There was indeed a faint blue magic array at where w.a.n.g Yu pointed.
Because the surrounding was covered in crimson flames, one wouldn’t be able to notice it without special mention. Fearless’ spectacles disregarded the interference of the surrounding light rays so he could see everything.
“Forget it!”
Looking at the teleportation formation in that lava pit, Fearless kept his spectacles and said, “Let’s head to the next BOSS’s saving point instead.”
“Right, right, right!”
Everyone agreed.
This was because they would have to jump into a fire pit just so they could save their progress. It was simply not worth it.
