Chapter 1436: Reverse Psychology
Even a sealed G.o.d-grade BOSS was still a G.o.d-grade BOSS!
Everyone knew that while the BOSS’s level could change, the rank wouldn’t change.
For example, t.i.tan Zeus decreased his strength to LV40 but his combat abilities were still at LV200. It was merely a decrease in attributes and they were essentially the same monster that they were. Lowering the level was merely to deceive the opponent.
Moreover, a LV80 BOSS was not a low-level BOSS to everyone…
“Oh?”
When Raging Flames Monarch, Nephis, saw that w.a.n.g Yu was not affected by her aura, she was slightly taken aback before sizing w.a.n.g Yu up. “You are actually a Martial Artist? No wonder you have that sense of loftiness.”
“The same can be said of you!” w.a.n.g Yu clasped his fists towards Nephis as he showed his respect towards a top expert.
“Tsk!” Nephis grunted coldly in the face of w.a.n.g Yu’s courtesy, “The last time I met a Martial Artist, I was still the ruler of the sky. Look at how I’ve been reduced to a farmland… Why? Are you guys here to humiliate me?”
She was truly a G.o.d-grade BOSS, even the way she spoke was different. With that many men protecting her and such a ma.s.sive palace to live in, she spoke as though she had suffered tremendously. Who knew how Dragon Emperor Dales actually survived all those years…
Of course, she was a G.o.d-grade BOSS who would be the overlord of any place on the outside. She was bound to feel aggrieved to be stuck in one place.
Besides w.a.n.g Yu, everyone else was already severely oppressed by Nephis’ aura. Now that Nephis wasn’t in a good mood, she emitted a much stronger aura and all the players couldn’t help but shrunk their necks. They hurriedly replied, “No, no, no, we’re merely pa.s.sing by… Sorry to interrupt!”
After saying that, everyone walked towards the door.
Nephis appeared as though she did not want to act out against ants so she did not stop them from leaving.
Only w.a.n.g Yu stood there as he stared straight at Nephis.
“Martial Artist, are you not going to leave? You want to stay here to accompany me?”
Nephis smiled brilliantly when she saw how w.a.n.g Yu stood there motionlessly.
Fearless pulled w.a.n.g Yu’s collar and whispered, “Old Bull, this is a G.o.d-grade BOSS… We…”
It wasn’t that Fearless did not trust w.a.n.g Yu but this was simply due to the fact that the opponent was way too strong. A G.o.d-grade BOSS was an existence that even Fearless had merely heard of. After sensing her formidable and treacherous aura, they could barely catch their breath, let alone kill her. Evidently, this was a quest that couldn’t be completed by players of this current stage. Minimally, players had to advance to level 80 before standing a chance against her.
Before Fearless could finish, w.a.n.g Yu waved his hands to stop Fearless before smiling back at Nephis, “No, do not misunderstand. I am here only to kill you.”
“Pfft!!”
Everyone spat out a mouthful of blood when they heard w.a.n.g Yu’s words.
Why did he have to be this arrogant? His opponent was a G.o.d-grade BOSS, not some wild dog on the streets… How could he speak to the BOSS in this manner?
“Haha!”
It was clear that Nephis was much more cultured than all the previous BOSSes. She merely chuckled when she heard what w.a.n.g Yu said and did not react angrily at all.
Come to think of it, a top-level expert like Nephis would have met all kinds of experts in the past. If she were to be infuriated by a mere sentence from w.a.n.g Yu, it wouldn’t be befitting of her status.
“No wonder you’re a Martial Artist!” Nephis commended w.a.n.g Yu, “Your bra.s.sy confidence reminds me of someone!”
“The person who trapped you here?” w.a.n.g Yu responded.
“That’s right!”
Nephis stretched her back casually as she changed her stance before nodding her head, “But you are far too inexperienced compared to him. Hearing those words come out from your mouth makes me realise that you have overestimated your own capabilities.”
“Really?” w.a.n.g Yu replied faintly, “Why don’t you test me out?”
“Tsk!” Nephis sneered coldly at w.a.n.g Yu, “You want to play with me? You’re not at that level yet!”
“Just admit if you’re scared. It is normal to become timid after hiding down here for so many years.” w.a.n.g Yu smiled.
“F*ck!”
All the gooseb.u.mps appeared on the bodies of the Quan Zhen Sect after hearing w.a.n.g Yu. What wrong medication did w.a.n.g Yu consume today? Why was he so determined to die?
Who would have thought that the words from this fella’s mouth could be this vicious? Saying something like that in front of Nephis was the same as sprinkling salt on her open wound.
What others didn’t know was that w.a.n.g Yu wanted this effect.
In the squad, only w.a.n.g Yu had fought a G.o.d-grade BOSS before. Therefore, w.a.n.g Yu knew the character of a G.o.d-grade BOSS better than anyone else. Enemies like them were not meant for ordinary players to deal with.
As a true martial artist, challenging experts was essentially his instinct. When facing a BOSS of this level, how could he forgive himself if he did not exchange one or two blows with her?
Some would also question that since everyone came to complete the dungeon, since when was it up to the BOSS to decide if they wanted to fight?
The fact that the BOSS could sit casually on the throne to chat with you and even watch you leave without doing anything meant that Nephis was a trigger-type BOSS. Fighting a BOSS without triggering a battle would have very different consequences.
Given how despicable the designers were, they might even release the seal on her if that happened. At that point, how were they going to deal with a level 200 G.o.d-grade BOSS?
It was true that w.a.n.g Yu loved to challenge himself but there was a vast difference in challenging himself and sending himself to death… w.a.n.g Yu was confident he could match a level 80 BOSS but a level 200 BOSS was on a whole new level that w.a.n.g Yu wouldn’t want to test at this current stage.
This was the reason why w.a.n.g Yu continuously tried to anger Nephis so as to trigger a fight.
Indeed, every human had their limits. No matter how cultured Nephis was, she couldn’t help but start feeling enraged.
“Tsk, little brat! Do you really think you can trigger me just like that? An ant like you isn’t fit to fight me!” Nephis responded furiously.
“Haha!” Seeing that Nephis was starting to get angry, w.a.n.g Yu continued smiling, “Or are you so badly frightened by the Martial G.o.d that you dare not attack me just because I am a Martial Artist?”
“Old Bull, you gotta stop talking…” The rest of the players were on the verge of crying.
His words hurt her on a much deeper level.
The moment he mentioned the Martial G.o.d, Nephis was so furious that her hair almost stood up as she pointed at w.a.n.g Yu, “Arrogant Martial Artist, you’ve forced me!”
After saying that, a flame as thick as a thumb flew from her finger towards w.a.n.g Yu.
“s.h.i.+t!”
Everyone’s heart turned cold when they saw that w.a.n.g Yu finally managed to trigger a fight.
How can a level 50 player dare to challenge a G.o.d-grade BOSS… Has he gone insane?!
