Chapter 1518: Prairie Fire
“You’ve turned bad!” w.a.n.g Yu pointed his middle finger at Hermit, “You deserve to be single!”
“You’re over complimenting me!” Hermit smiled wretchedly.
“Can I cancel this quest?” Even though w.a.n.g Yu knew it was impossible, he still wanted to ask.
A single S-grade quest was already enough of a headache for him. Wouldn’t a chain of S-grade quests torture him to death?
One must know that an S-grade quest was not just difficult because of merely much stronger BOSS. It was extremely ‘brain-burning’.
Even though w.a.n.g Yu loved challenging himself, he did not like finding trouble.
“You can cancel!”
Hermit maintained his smile, “But I will have to take back your job as a Martial Artist.”
“I knew you would act like that!” w.a.n.g Yu couldn’t help but point his middle finger again, “Are you not sick of using the same trick over and over again? Why don’t you come up with something new?”
“As long as it is useful! Hehe.” Hermit continued to smile wickedly, angering w.a.n.g Yu.
“Alright, alright!” Hermit continued, “Don’t be too anxious! I shall give you some welfare this time.”
“Oh? Why would you be so nice?” w.a.n.g Yu asked doubtfully.
“I am your mentor so why would I trick you?” Hermit shamelessly placed the Black Glorious Stone on w.a.n.g Yu’s hand and said, “Come, take this. Consider this my help for you so now you only need to find the Dragon’s Reverse Scale and G.o.d’s Glory.”
“That seems more like it!” w.a.n.g Yu was in a much better mood after receiving the Black Glorious Stone from Hermit.
Soon after, w.a.n.g Yu suddenly asked, “What about my reward for this escort quest?”
“Hehe!” Hermit pointed to the Black Glorious Stone on his hand, “This is it!”
“You!!” w.a.n.g Yu was tongue-tied, “Wouldn’t it be more convenient for you to send me to retrieve it? Why did you have to make me escort someone else to do it?”
“Because I’ve accepted the money.” Hermit opened up his arms to express his helplessness.
…
“Why don’t I help you this time?”
Seeing how depressed w.a.n.g Yu became, Meng Xi initiated to help.
What a kind lady to know how to respond in kind! w.a.n.g Yu helped her once and she wanted to help him immediately.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s okay!” w.a.n.g Yu hurriedly waved his hands, “I should settle this myself.”
Was he joking? w.a.n.g Yu’s current quest might not be something even the experts from Quan Zhen Sect could be of help. Meng Xi was merely a level 20 player who might cause more trouble instead of providing help…
Any matter that w.a.n.g Yu could handle by himself might be ten times more difficult if he brought Meng Xi along.
“Tsk!” The intelligent Meng Xi knew what w.a.n.g Yu was thinking. Seeing how w.a.n.g Yu looked down on her, she grunted coldly before saying, “Then you better enjoy yourself! Goodbye!”
After saying that, Meng Xi left the alley without turning her head at all. All that was left were w.a.n.g Yu, who was deep in thoughts, and Hermit, who was staring at him.
“So what are you still doing here?” Hermit asked.
“Hehe!” w.a.n.g Yu took out a bag of gold and handed it to Hermit, “Now that there are no longer any outsiders, can you divulge some guide for this quest?”
The reason S-grade quest was so difficult was because n.o.body knew where and how to start.
Take w.a.n.g Yu’s current quest as an example. Even though he already possessed the Black Glorious Stone and Heart of Flames, the methods of obtaining these two materials were vastly different. If he hadn’t taken on this quest, he wouldn’t know that these two materials were related.
There was no need to talk about the Dragon’s Reverse Scale and G.o.d’s Glory.
Without mentioning how w.a.n.g Yu had never seen a G.o.d before, there were so many dragons in this world. Shouldn’t the quest minimally state which dragon should he take the reverse scale from?
“Haha!” Hermit laughed out loud as he took over the money bag and said, “To be honest, I have no idea.”
“Return me the money!” w.a.n.g Yu raged.
“Don’t be anxious!” Hermit replied, “I don’t know but there is someone who knows. For example, Master Martial G.o.d’s old acquaintance.”
“Martial G.o.d’s old acquaintance?” w.a.n.g Yu furrowed his brows as he asked, “He has gone missing for over a few thousand years, right? How many of his old acquaintances are still alive?”
“You have to depend on yourself to figure this out.” Hermit stretched his back, “You have to use your brain to play this game. If I tell you everything, what’s the point of playing this game?”
“F*ck!”
w.a.n.g Yu left the alley as he couldn’t be bothered to argue anymore.
…
The quest had no time limit and he had no idea how to start because all he had was a faint clue. Therefore, w.a.n.g Yu tossed the quest to the side without bothering about it yet.
Who knows when fate might bring him to the BOSS?
The other players from Quan Zhen Sect were busy completing their Level 60 skill quest. Since w.a.n.g Yu had nothing to do, he went to visit Mu Zixian’s convenience store.
Mu Zixian’s store was as busy as before. After all, with the growing reputation that w.a.n.g Yu and the Quan Zhen Sect were building outside, there was no way people hadn’t heard about her store.
In fact, even players from other main cities flocked down to Twilight City just to visit this convenience store.
Upon seeing w.a.n.g Yu from afar, the Twilight City’s players automatically opened up a path for him. Naturally, w.a.n.g Yu walked directly into the store.
“You’re here?” Mu Zixian lifted her head to see w.a.n.g Yu before casually pointing to the back, “Help me bring that Dragon Ma.s.sacre Medicine over!”
“Dragon Ma.s.sacre Medicine?” w.a.n.g Yu looked towards where Mu Zixian pointed and he saw a stack of medicine on the far right of the shelf.
Dragon Ma.s.sacre Medicine (Medicine)
30 minutes after consuming it increases 10% damages done on dragon-related monsters. CD time: 60 minutes.
“Wow!” w.a.n.g Yu picked up the medicine and exclaimed, “There is such a medicine now?”
“En!”
Mu Zixian replied, “This is a top-tier medicine which I bought at a high price back from the previous auction. Only our place sells this medicine throughout the entire server.”
The current Mu Zixian was increasingly becoming like a businesswoman.
“Impressive! Impressive!”
w.a.n.g Yu brought the medicine to the counter and asked for the person who wanted this medicine.
“Me!”
At this point, an Archer with a metal bow extended his hand.
“50 gold!” Mu Zixian said.
The Archer handed over the bag of money to w.a.n.g Yu as he took over the Dragon Ma.s.sacre Medicine.
After receiving the medicine, the Archer did not leave. Instead, he looked at w.a.n.g Yu and asked, “You’re Iron Bull?”
“En!” w.a.n.g Yu nodded.
w.a.n.g Yu was already used to it. Everytime he came here to help, he would attract a crowd of players who simply wanted to know him.
“Hi, my name is Prairie Fire!” That Archer introduced himself to w.a.n.g Yu.
The moment Prairie Fire’s voice was heard, the players around him grew excited as they exclaimed, “You’re the mechanic Archer, Prairie Fire?”
Even w.a.n.g Yu was slightly taken aback.
In the past, it was normal for w.a.n.g Yu not to recognise any expert in the game. Presently, w.a.n.g Yu could be considered half a professional expert which meant that he still knew a thing or two about some of the more popular experts in the game.
