811 A Decision Made "What should we do? Should we venture into the Netherworld?" Leonel asked as they convened a meeting in their guild house.
"The Netherworld?" Sumeri crossed her arms and closed her eyes, deep in thought. "With so many players in there, we might run into trouble with some of them."
"There are plenty of unexplored places on the map. Why don"t we start from there?" Ragnar suggested.
Isolde chimed in, "I"d like to see the Elven Realm for once."
Leonel added, "Right, we haven"t had the chance to go there yet, have we? I want to see the unicorns."
"And fairies!" Isolde added with excitement, lost in her own world along with Leonel.
Everyone could sense a spark between her and Leonel, and it seemed the only thing missing was an official statement between the two.
Or perhaps Leonel just hadn"t taken the first move yet?
Sumeri shot a sidelong glance at her surroundings. To her right were Leone and Isolde, and to her left were Ren and Evie, while in front of her were Roz and Ragnar, each with their own partners.
Was this an adventure guild or a romance guild? Sumeri grumbled in protest in her head.
"Let"s go to the Demon Realm," Ren said decisively.
"Are you sure?" Ragnar asked, looked like he wasn"t keen on the idea of going into the Netherworld. "Black Lions and the others might be there right now."
"It"s fine. We have some unfinished business there anyway," Ren replied with a resolute voice.
Leonel and the others exchanged a look, silently acknowledging Ren"s decisions. He was the leader after all.
And when was the last time that Ren had let them down?
"I don"t mind crossing paths with other guilds, but . . . there"s only like eight of us here," Sumeri said, and Alice immediately interjected, "Nine. I"m here too!"
Sumeri ignored her and continued, "Only eight players against hundreds in a single guild . . . Not to mention Fate Alliance, Sleeping Dragon, and the others are there too. So I"m guessing we"re up against . . . at least a thousand. Can we handle those numbers?"
"We can," said Ren matter-of-factly. "We have Elena on our side."
Everyone knew who Elena was, and their eyes turned to Evie.
"Well . . . that is the fastest and most direct way, but . . ." Sumeri wasn"t convinced by the plan. With thousands of players and numerous corporations backing those guilds, could they really pull it off?
However, Isolde and Ragnar were fine with the idea of confronting the issue as soon as possible.
"Our company and Guns and Roses are suffering because of me helping out World Conqueror," Isolde started.
Ragnar nodded. "Mine too."
"If we could resolve this issue right now, then that would be the best. I don"t know how long my father can last from the elders" pressure, after all. Ahahaha," finished Isolde.
Isolde was smiling, but everyone knew that it must be hard for her too.
Ren was grateful for the two, who despite their setbacks, remained loyal to World Conqueror and continued to believe in him despite the odds.
Ren had to return the favor somehow, especially since Ragnar and Isolde had already done so much for him.
Leonel suddenly had a change of heart upon hearing that Isolde was having problems. "Let"s do it then. Let"s teach those guilds a lesson. I have been thinking about it since the beginning."
"Really?" Sumeri deadpanned. "If not for Isolde, you wouldn"t have suggested it."
Leonel"s face turned red. "W-what! What are you even saying?! I"m only supporting Ren"s decision!"
Isolde"s face reddened too.
Sumeri"s mood plummeted, and she muttered, "Get a room already."
"A r-room?! How lewd! Sumeri, you pervert!" Leonel shouted, and Isolde wanted to faint from embarra.s.sment.
"Huh? I"m not even implying anything about that. It"s you who"s the pervert," Sumeri fought back with a grin.
Leonel covered his face with his hands and squealed. "Of course not! Stop saying stuff like that! It"s not true!"
Ren shook his head. He didn"t even know why Leonel argued with Sumeri when this was the outcome. He should have just kept his mouth shut.
"Anyway, I have already upgraded your equipment and given you each life-saving items. If you"re ready, let"s set out to the Netherworld."
