Chapter 224: Blood Cross

“Okay, thanks, bye!”
After the announcement was made, Han Tianyu bade Jiang Fei farewell and immediately left the party. It was just like Jiang Fei had predicted, the rich b.u.g.g.e.r cared not about the experience and the loot. After a simple “k, thx, bye,” he had promptly left Jiang Fei alone.
Jiang Fei went to the boss’ corpse. The most alluring s.h.i.+mmer was a given. Jiang Fei expected no less. As Jiang Fei inspected the corpse, a golden glimmer was revealed.

Note: Both skills, Blood Chain and Life Link, cannot be used at the same time.
“This s.h.i.+t is overpowered!” cried Jiang Fei, when he was done reading the equipment description. For the longest time ever, he had been craving for a piece of equipment that could heal. This equipment would be ideal for a soloist like Jiang Fei. With Isabella by his side, he could use the skill on her and turn them into immortals. There still was the lifesteal effect on his accessory! With this single equipment, Jiang Fei would never find his health in the red again! Come rain and high water, Jiang Fei would beat the living s.h.i.+t out of any boss!
The skill, Blood Chain would be extremely useful for him in PvP battles. That would solve his slow movement speed issue when facing off an agile opponent. One minute was more than enough for him to whack the living h.e.l.l of that player. Plus, even if Jiang Fei chose not to attack, he would still be dealing 300 damage per second for a minute!
Jiang Fei immediately swapped out his current accessory for the new Blood Cross. Even though his old one had a mana burn effect, it was ineffective against a boss. It played a role in downplaying its value. With Mana Burn, Jiang Fei would not make much of a difference, but with Blood Cross, he would be impossible to stop, while also dealing ma.s.sive damage in the process. It was all the more effective against bosses.
With the newly obtained gear equipped, and gaining a level from the final boss along with the completion of the dungeon, Jiang Fei had grown stronger. His health points had reached 35,000, equivalent to a tank who has undergone second cla.s.s advancement.
A typical second cla.s.s advancement Guardian, a defensive type warrior, would have over 12,300 health point and 1,230 Defense, which would be the same as Jiang Fei when he had just evolved into a new race. As of now, Jiang Fei was Level 37. With the combined perks of the unique race and epicly strong equipment, Jiang Fei’s overall stats far surpa.s.sed any other tank cla.s.s player out there in the game!
Besides the Legendary tier accessory, the boss had also dropped two more Violet graded equipment that mages would love. Naturally, Jiang Fei took the both of them and dumped it into his inventory.
When Jiang Fei and Isabella exited the dungeon, he had a sudden idea. He approached the dungeon nonchalantly and prompted the pop up.
“Ding! You are about to enter the “Bottom of the Bloodpool” Heroic Difficulty! Your party has not reached the 40 player count. Do you still wish to enter?’
“No!” Jiang Fei shook his head and said. It was just a joke. Even though he had the confidence, he still had enough sanity in him to know that he would not survive a forty-man dungeon run, alone! They might just pull through if either Isabella or himself could maintain their alter forms for a longer period. In their normal states, even the regular monsters would wipe them out.
Jiang Fei turned around and completely dropped the idea of challenging the Heroic difficulty. He stood at the entrance for a while, unsure of what to do next. In the end, he strolled around the city for some window shopping. He talked to a few of his guild members and decided to call it early.
When he was back in his room, it was only four in the morning. The sky was still dark, and the moon was still high in the sky. Everyone was still sleeping or getting ready for their abnormal work time. While those that had to wake up at that hour were still half awake, Jiang Fei could never be any more excited or awake. He wanted to try the power of his newly obtained equipment!
Before he logged out, he had already placed the equipment in the ring.
Shriing!
A faint, silvery light s.h.i.+mmered around the ring, and a ghastly mask appeared in Jiang Fei’s hands. It looked like the kind of mask that kids could buy in the shrine, much like a j.a.panese Oni. The equipment had retained its name, but it looked completely different.
Jiang Fei lifted the mask up and slowly brought it close to his face. It practically flew into his face, changing into light particles that sunk into his skin.
“Neat.”
Jiang Fei touched his face, finding no change to it. Nothing had changed. His skin still felt the same as before. He gritted his teeth hard and hurled his fist towards his face. When his fist made contact with his face, a soft, faint glow flashed out, and Jiang Fei’s fist stopped just a few millimeters away from his face. However, in a split second, Jiang Fei’s hands glowed, and the light from his head vanished. At that moment, he felt a p.r.i.c.k, akin to that from a sewing needle.
“Huh! That’s nice.”
Jiang Fei had completely forgotten about the Ares glove that he had worn from before. That thing had a 30% Defense Ignore pa.s.sive skill which allowed Jiang Fei’s own damage to penetrate the mask.
“All is well. At least, I won’t have to worry about my head being crushed.”
Jiang Fei smirked and extracted the two Fists from the ring.
“d.a.m.n! This is cool!” cried Jiang Fei when he saw the Fists in the real world. In the game, the Fists were made of metal and completely encased a person’s fist. However, in the real world, they turned into a pair of black cloth gloves. On its fingers were silver metallic scales. They were most likely there for more than just aesthetics.
Jiang Fei tried it on immediately without hesitating. Instead of disappearing into his body like the other equipment that Jiang Fei brought into the real world, the pair of gloves merely fit over his hands… like gloves. When he put them on, he could literally feel the power coursing through his body. He knew for a fact that they were more than just decorative.
“Hah! So cool!”
Since the gloves had granted him power, Jiang Fei immediately started basking in the power.
Jiang Fei clenched his fists and try to feel the power once more. He could tell that the gloves did not require any active commands. When he willed it, the power would flow through him. He could feel the explosive power flowing in his body. The pair granted Jiang Fei a total of 25 Strength points, which gave Jiang Fei the strength to lift 500kg of force. Just with that, without any skills, Jiang Fei could punch men to death.
Gently and carefully, Jiang Fei removed the gloves from his hands. His house would never contain such power. A small mistake might break something.
The gloves were thin. Jiang Fei could easily fold and tuck them into his pockets. When in danger, he could put them on in a jiffy. With that knowledge in mind, Jiang Fei could not wait to head out to try his powers.
