Chapter 2664: Sorry, I Changed My Mind
Its ax only stopped for a moment before resuming its charge, and I am not surprised. The strings have wrapped only 71% of its body, which is not enough to stop the movement of a peak High Grandmaster and definitely not enough to stop the vidette, which is known for its immense physical strength.
Though its ax is coming down, it is not bearing as much power as before. My strings may not have stopped their attack, but they have very well reduced its power speed.
Still, the attack is very much powerful, and I will need my strongest defense to defend against it, and I hope it will be enough to stop the charge of its ax.
BANNNG!
Its ax crashed against my invisible s.h.i.+eld, making them visible before brightening them like a blazing sun, with pure physical might and that scary vidette energy.
The ripple of energy spread across the s.h.i.+elds as they rapidly began to fight the energy, which they used against the energy coming into the armor. The vidette energy was so powerful that a moment after it had lighted up the s.h.i.+elds, it had lighted up my armor and still coming at me.
"The power of the vidette is really something," I said as I began to experience the power of its attack, which I wouldn"t have been able to bear if my strings hadn"t been constraining it. It would have been dead in a couple of its moves.
Puh!
I vomited, but there was a smile on my face; I defended its attack successfully, and seeing how it had nearly used all its power, it was likely to be its strongest attack. Even if it was able to launch the slightly stronger attack, I would be able to bear now that my armor had absorbed the vidette energy and was better equipped to deal with it.
"I have heard so much about the terror of yellow vidette, but your power is just so-so," I teased it, which blazed Rsas already burning eyes.
"You b.a.s.t.a.r.d!" It shouted and, in great rage as took back its ax and brought it down with the great power, but last time, it could not utilize all the frightening physical strength it had brought out as my strings were binding it.
This time, it was able to bring out even less power than the last attack, have provided me enough data about it that I have s.h.i.+fted my strings a little, so they will be able to restrict its movement even more greatly.
The more attacks it will launch, the greater data it will provide, and I will be able to use it further to restrict its movements.
BANNNG!
Its ax crashed on my s.h.i.+eld again, lighting them and my armor like a sun before, but this time, despite the energy being slightly higher, it was not able to harm me; not to mention, the physical power was even lower.
BANNNG BANNNG BANNNG
It did not seem to understand the predicament it was in, or the killing intent had been clouding its mind too much as it continued to attack me without stopping.
Its attacks are getting slower and slower at each strike, as I would manipulate my strings for the maximum restrictions.
I was in shock at what I was doing, as currently, this b.a.s.t.a.r.d is strong enough that it will give most of the High Grandmasters, aside from the council members, a death in a couple of moves. Its physical and defensive abilities are off the charts; no human or Grimm of same level could compare to it.
Still, I wouldn"t have been able to achieve what I had achieved if not for that Grimm, who fell into my lap earlier, and also due to the advancement in the soul, which is helping me manipulate the strings even more smoothly.
This Grimm vidette is beyond me, even with all the advancements I have, and if not for the strings that have wrapped around me, I would have been defending against it, burning my essence.
Currently, the Grimms was able to only project a sixth of its power, and even then, it is shaking my s.h.i.+elds. I could very well imagine what it would be done to me if it hadn"t been under my restrictions.
Hun!
It once again raised its sword, and I readied my defenses to defend against it when suddenly it had stopped the midway. All the rage in its eyes suddenly disappeared, and clarity returned; though I could see the rage in its eyes was still burning, it was now in its control.
"Zaar, it seemed like, in current conditions, I could not kill you," said Rsas with an expression of unwillingness as it brought down its ax on the ground.
"So, you understood it finally," It said with a smile and waved my hand, and the s.h.i.+elds disappeared. They have not truly disappeared as it had not truly relaxed their stance. It is still cautious and could swing its ax with all strength immediately if it wants to.
"Yes, I understood and am willing to let you go," It said as it motioned toward the white door behind me.
"Are you kidding me!" I cursed. "I have fought many life and death battles and nearly had been killed many times in coming here, and you just want me to retreat while you Grimm b.a.s.t.a.r.d take all the benefits,"
"It is not going to happen," I added while looking directly into its eyes, which blazed hearing my answer, but it soon controlled its emotions.
"Fine, if you want to go to the door, you can go, but let me warn you; you will not be able to survive against those two that went there," It said, pointing at the lone door behind it. "How nice of you to warn me," I said sarcastically, and it glared at me.
"I will walk through that is out of the question, but I want something more," I said, and it literally shook hearing it. It is clear that my suggestion had made it immensely angry that it was barely able to control itself.
"b.a.s.t.a.r.d, you can forget about getting anything from me," It shouted back in rage. "Really, then we can stay here till I find a way to kill you, and don"t doubt me, Rsas; I already have a couple ways through which I can kill you with enough time," I said with confidence and this confidence is not fake.
My words wavered its confidence, and I could see the intense struggle in its eyes.
"Fine, I will give you the treasure, and then we will go in our own ways," It said after a few seconds, and it couldn"t help but make me feel shocked.
While I may have said them in all seriousness, they were jokes to me as I had truly had not throught the Grimm would accept it, much less a vidette, who seemed to have the strongest will as those could survive the process.
"Sorry, I changed my mind; I will not take any treasure when I could have you, which will automatically give me all your treasures," I said with a wicked smile on my face.
I am quite happy, as I rarely get to play such jokes on a Grimm.
