Chapter 2932 Trade
"Wait!"
I said to the old snake as it began to disappear; it became visible again as it tuned. "What? Do you want to fight me?" it asked mockingly, but I could see its eyes became extremely alert as it looked at me.
"No, I am not strong enough to fight you yet," I replied; even with all the advancements, I could still not kill this dangerous b.a.s.t.a.r.d.
"Then why do you stop me?" it asked snappily, "I am wondering whether you are interested in little trade?" I asked, and immediately, its eyes lit up.
"Name your price; as long as it is not excessive, I am willing to pay it for Anrd," it said to which I shook my head.
"Anrd is dead; it is not coming back alive, ever," I said, which it glared at me.
"I was hoping to trade some rare materials," I added, and after a while, a crystal appeared in my hand, which I threw toward the old snake.
Old snake was surprised but caught the crystal with a hand made of energy and was too cautious not even to touch it.
One does not need to touch the crystal with one hand to read it, especially the one I threw at it.
After a few seconds of catching it, its eyes widened in shock. "You have all those things?" It asked, with its eyes blazing in the greed, which it controlled pretty quickly as a calculating look appeared in its eyes.
I did not answer its question; instead, tens of resources appeared out of my core and began to spin around me tantalizingly, making its even calm emotions roil.
"So, are you interested?" I asked as I put back the resources back in my storage and looked at the old snake, who seemed to be in a great dilemma.
What I am doing is an extremely risky thing because the resources I am exchanging are not normal. All of them are Grand Lord grade and extremely rare; I have even put a resource as a stainless lotus out, which could help this b.a.s.t.a.r.d a lot.
I have no choice but to do that; the old snake had the widest variety of resources, and aside from the leader of the coven, it had the most resources.
I have already got great things from Kraf, and now Anrd will give me things, but there are some specific resources that I want, and those could only be provided by the old snake, and for it, I am even willing to sacrifice resources like stainless lotus and astral mist sunflower.
It did not answer for nearly a minute before it took out a blue crystal and threw it toward me. Seeing that, a smile couldn"t help but appear on my face.
I caught the crystal with my invisible string and read it, and my eyes went wide immediately.
"It seemed like I had ended up underestimating the old snake, even when I didn"t want to," I said in my mind as I looked at the huge list of precious things.
I thought with my special circ.u.mstances, I wouldn"t be much behind old snake when it comes to extremely precious resources, but I have been utterly wrong. The things this b.a.s.t.a.r.d has been shocking, far more than I had imagined.
More than fifty times than me.
"It seemed like I would become one of the richest men in the world the moment I killed you," I said to the old snake, who just glared at me.
"Jokes aside, there are many things I want from your collection," I said, turning my voice serious.
"Then be ready to pay the price," the old snake replied dryly, but I could see the excitement in its eyes, which it was having a hard time hiding.
"Here is the list of things I want; I hope you will not ask a too high price for them," I said, and a list of hundreds of things materialized in front of me; seeing it, a hint of confusion couldn"t help, but flash in its eyes, which it did it very quickly.
"You have quite an appet.i.te Zaar," it said.
"I need the resources, so the next time when we meet, it will be your body that will be in my storage," I said, to that, it smiled instead of getting angry.
"We will see when we meet next time; for now, let"s trade," It said, and we began negotiating.
The old b.a.s.t.a.r.d is really good at negotiating; it always has an answer to everything, which makes it very hard to gain an edge.
The intelligent ones are frustrating to deal with, especially someone like an old snake, who knows everything about the material they have.
It must have those to create the most powerful curses.
"It is nice doing business with you, old snake," I said as I brought in hundreds of resources inside while the old snake watched with complete focus, activating a couple of abilities to find a weakness in them.
I scanned them before sending them to my core, where they directly appeared on the huge formation.
I have no doubt that the old snake had done some sabotage, just like I did on some of the resources I have sent to it; it will be to respected to abilities to deal with those sabotages.
The old snake had faded into its domain after giving me looked, and a second later, its domain began to break till it completely disappeared.
I did not immediately disappear as I did last time after killing a Grimm; the old Werewolf was busy fighting with Lady Angela, even with it wanting to come at me; it would need at least a few seconds, and by that time, I will be able to run away.
As for other powerful Grimms, most of them are busy in the biggest battle our world has ever seen, which I will join soon.
The supreme commander had reservations about me joining, but I had convinced her; it is a great place for me, so many Grimm Grand Lords; I definitely want to pluck at one Grimm among the new ones, especially now with the boost I have gotten from the Anrd.
I think, now, my s.h.i.+eld has become sufficiently powerful to defend me against one of the powerful Grand Lords, not top level, but now, I could definitely be able to survive against the middle level.
It couldn"t make me happy.
Now, I want to kill the Grimms even more, so I can get more powerful. At least get powerful enough to defend against the attack of Rhaek; that happens; the feeling of hanging the sword I have will never truly go away.
"Lord Zaar, you could go now," said Supreme Commander, and immediately, the teleportation formation came out of my hand.
Buzz!
It buzzed, and I stepped inside, and the next second, I appeared on the other, and immediately, my eyes couldn"t help but widen in shock seeing.
I have seen the visuals of the battle, but now that I am sensing it, I am feeling its real scale, and I am glad such a thing is happening in a very strong isolated s.p.a.ce.
If it had happened outside, the destruction it would have caused would have been unimaginable.
