Chapter 3099 Strengthening
"Wow, I don"t think I ever had such a satisfying meal in my life," said Kara as she finally put her fork down.
"I am glad you enjoyed it," I said with a smile. "It is such a regret that I had to leave in a few hours, or I would have shamelessly come to you tomorrow for another meal," she said with her beautiful eyes twinkling.
"You are welcome anytime," I said. I did not ask her where she is going. We have only known each other for a few minutes. Such questions are for friends.
"That is the best thing you could have said," she said, getting up from her chair. "I aim to please," I said, and her eyes twinkled again.
"Thank you for the meal, Michael. Now, even if I die in the next few days, I will have one less regret," she thanked.
"I am sure you will easily survive whatever you are going to face," I said. She smiled at that, but this time, there was not the slightest mirth in her eyes.
"I hope I do," she said softly and walked toward the door.
Soon, she walked out of the door. I watched her till she entered her house, before closing the door behind me.
I have to go to the store, there is a huge shopping to do. I have processed quite a lot of Daros crystals and now it is time to spent.
I am going to buy the breakthrough resources and also refining resources, along with a few other types of resources.
Soon, I reached the teleportation artifact nearest to my house.
This gate"s housing had many teleportation formations connected to the city. I could get to any part of the city through them.
I had rarely used them since. I wanted to want to listen and look, but I had done enough of that. Now, I wanted to save time and reach the store soon as possible, as the shopping is going to take a lot of time.
"Newt Emporium," I said as I appeared by the artifact. "One ro-crystal," said the man with the black horn.
I handed him the crystal, and immediately the gate appeared, and I walked inside. A moment later, I found myself in front of a huge building of a newt emporium.
It is a different store. To be cautious, I am not going back to the same store. This store is slightly bigger and has an even better collection. I hope it will have everything I need. I would hate to go to the other store.
Soon, I entered the store and took the band, before starting shopping.
This time, I barely hold back. I brought everything I need from breakthrough resources to cooking materials. I even brought some alchemical tools.
I had shopped for six hours and when I got out of the store, there was a smile on my face.
Like earlier, I took a teleportation formation, and a minute later; I was at my house.

I did not begin immediately, instead; I handed all the responsibility to my clones and close my eyes to sleep.
I woke up five hours later and immediately went to the bathroom to freshen up and showered, before cooking breakfast, which I ate with Nero. Ashlyn is once again sleeping, and I did not wake her, nor I could.
I had tried it when she started sleeping like that, but no matter the way I tried. I could not wake her up.
After was.h.i.+ng the plates, I lay on the couch and closed my eyes. A moment later, I was in my core with my clones working on different things.
I could already see a new refinement formation has started running. Refining not only P1 and P2 grade Daros crystals, but also P3 and S1. Though the refinement of S1 is going quite slowly, despite having only a handful of the crystal inside it.
I do not mind. I do not need S1 grade Daros crystal, but I like to have it on hand. Who knows when I might need it?
I am happy seeing the progress of my clones and especially when they have readied the resources I need.
I check the resources and bring out the thing. It is a multicolored runic sphere.
The breakthrough formation.
It is from the original breakthrough formation, but only contains less than 1% of its power, but that is more than enough. This is just a schematic, and I am going to strengthen it with the resources I had brought.
I placed it down on the runic formation that had already been created by my clones and places the resources.
There are a lot of resources, including nearly all the rule-bending powers and S3 Daros crystal. Thankfully, few of them had got refined. I only need one and even that is going to be more than enough.
Buzz!
After seeing everything is perfect. I activated the formation and within a few minutes, the resources moved toward it.
I watched it for a few minutes before I moved away. If I had time, I would have continued watching, but I have to make a breakthrough today and there are still some things that needed to be done about it.
Soon, seven hours pa.s.sed, and the sphere had finished absorbing all the resources.
It is now strengthened and is much better than the one I had left in the home, and with every breakthrough that will happen. It will become better, I can"t wait to see the heights, it will reach in the future.
I checked it for any flaws and there were none. Seeing that, I put it back into its place and continued working.
I am refining the breakthrough resources. Some of them are quite tricky. My clones are helping me, but with the easy parts. The hardest ones I had taken for myself.
I had failed a couple of times in refining some resources, but that is normal in alchemy and still, a cheaper option compared to store brought things. Those things are really expensive.
Not everyone has alchemical skills. They are easy at first, but the further you go, the harder they became.
Even I who had a great foundation in energy control had a hard time.
Culinary art may bear some similarities with alchemy. They are different fields and require a different sets of skills.
It is my luck that I had great teachers, like Grandmaster Salvador and Jim. Without them, I wouldn"t have had such skills.
Remembering them, I couldn"t help but think about them. Grandmaster Salvador had come with me, while Jim, along with Rachel and others, had stepped into the gates a little early.
Both of them had inheritances that are cla.s.sified as legacy inheritances. So, they should be fine.
"f.u.c.k!"
I cursed suddenly. In my moment of distractions, things begin to get awry. I focused my all and was barely able to salvage it.
I took a sigh of relief and pushed on all distracting thoughts and focused on what I was doing.
I had nearly destroyed what I was working on. It would have been bad if that had happened, considering how expensive the resource is.
