Chapter 3945 Permission
Tor
"You are asking a lot, Aevith," said the man, a purple-skinned, blue-horned man, who looked to be in his early twenties.
"I know, I am sir, but I am getting a bad feeling about it. We should act on it as soon as possible before it is too late," replied the woman.
"Are you sure, you are not getting influenced by his a.s.sessment?" he asked, looking at the files in front of him.
"I am not, Sir. I had a bad feeling about it; it is why, I have decided to use our seed for this mission." She replied, but the man just shook his head.
"To me, it feels they have found a great treasure."
"If we went there, to look for it. It would look like we are going there to steal it; it wouldn"t look good on our organization," he said.
"I understand your worry, sir, but I feel like, we can not wait anymore. He had narrowed down the location to 0.3% of the organization,"
"A group of Primes wouldn"t take more than a few days to find it with the data, that Micheal had provided," she pleaded.
The man sighed.
"It is too risky," he said, shaking his head and the woman opened her mouth, but he raised his hand to stop her.
"Though I could not ignore these proofs either. So, here is your task. Share the information with Alkaz and Belword and make them agree to join."
"If they did, you could investigate with them," he said.
The woman wanted to object, seeing how big the task would be, but there was no option. The man in front of her would not budge.
"Thank you, sir," she said and walked out of his office.
…
"I am bored," said the beast-man beside me. .cσ๓
"Me too," I replied as I pulled my focus back out for a few seconds.
"I wish, the organization would send us on some interesting mission, instead of here acting as the border guards," he said while his soul sense scans the area.
Yes, border guards.
This is the mission; we are on the border that Avros shares with the Belword.
It is a standard border protection mission. To keep an eye on the threat coming into the borders of the organization.
"It might turn interesting if we found some dangerous people like the cultists," I said.
"Right," he replied with a roll of his eyes and walked away.
Avros aren"t impervious to the problem of normal organization.
It has cultists, natural disasters, and other things that it needs to deal with.
One and a half months ago. A group of cultists had sacrificed the small city and we have yet to find them.
There had been intelligence that cultists might be coming our way, but there is a slim chance, that we will discover them.
The intelligence is a few days old. They would have already pa.s.sed through the borders before we had come here.
I watched him leave and went back to my core, leaving my body in control of a strand of my soul.
However, I could patrol, send soul waves, and move toward the suspicious people, if needed to be.
There is not much and most of the people crossing the border are Primaries are Sovereigns.
There are a few Earth Sovereigns.
Since yesterday, we have come across only one Sky Sovereign. She had all the proper doc.u.ments, and there was nothing suspicious about her.
We didn"t move to check the people unless it was a Sky Sovereign.
For the rest, we only gave orders. The Sovereigns and Earth Sovereigns move for us.
"I wonder when they will move," I muttered in the library.
In these past two and a half months. I had narrowed the location to the 0.2%. to territory. The risks I had taken paid off.
I got the data, which helped me shrink the area fast, but it is still not the pinpoint location.
I would need that to aid the Tor in making a move.
Acting without enough proof will have big political consequences. I haven"t provided them with good enough intelligence to make that happen.
I studied it for twenty minutes more, before waving it away and bringing the incomplete formation in front of me.
It is the formation of ancient runes; I am converting from that of common runes. Earlier, I had planned to keep 40:60, given its complexity, but inspiration struck.
I had fully changed the formation.
If I manage to achieve it, then the formation, would not only be three times smaller, but twice more powerful and two points five times efficient.
There is a huge advantage to changing into the ancient runes, but it"s hard.
There is a reason why, people started to learn ancient runes after reaching the Prime. It"s not just because of the sheer complexity of it.
There is another reason, for some. I am being s.h.i.+elded in my core.
The ancient runes are called law runes and while I am only working on the basic form of those. There is a power in them too; the power, a normal mind of Earth Sovereign, couldn"t bear.
I pushed those thoughts and focused on the formation ahead.
It is the most difficult one, but also exciting. If I succeeded, it would smoothen my movements and make them faster, with less energy.
The speed is really important to me, and this formation will aid me with that.
It"s why, I am giving it so much time and attention. There is another reason, which is also the Sky Sovereign upgrade.
It will act as a base for it. More complex and powerful.
I shook my head at those ideas. I had to complete it before I could think about what would come after it.
Hun!
A few hours pa.s.sed, and suddenly surprise appeared in my eyes as my soul waves caught something.
I immediately got out of my core and sent the stronger soul waves to investigate and what I found couldn"t help, but bring a smile to my face.
