Chapter 2193 - Sailhallow
"The area in front of us, Sailhallow, is extremely big hundreds of times bigger than our biggest city, and our friend Jim is trapped here," she said while showing me a location of where we are and where Jim is, which did not seem that far.
"We will have to go to this place," She said, magnifying the map and distance I had throught short magnified greatly.
They seemed to have found the perfect map of the city, which would be useful, but we still have to be careful, there are numerous dangers ahead.
I had just thought of danger when we stopped, as we have spotted a giant hare walking not far from me. It is over five meters long with red horns and red skin, which is a fiery volcanic shade; the air would crackle it would pa.s.s by its skin and horns.
The hare looked beautiful, but it is Master cla.s.s Monster; though it is in the initial Master cla.s.s, it has enough raw power to fight against peak Master.
"You will only see Master and Grandmaster Cla.s.s Masters roaming openly in this ruin," She informed telepathically, but a shock appeared on her face when the hare that was just walking stopped, and life in its eyes disappeared before it came floating toward me.
Since the war had begun, I am a little low on the exotic fresh meat. People had nearly stopped exploring the ruins. So, I decided to hunt a few of them myself, and I liked this one; it had such a unique flavor that I had not tasted in quite a while.
Soon the carca.s.s of hare appeared in front of me and disappeared into my storage. Rhea just looked at me, and we continued with our journey.
A few minutes pa.s.sed and several more Grimm Monsters came across us, but I did not kill them. As I had said, I liked the flavor of hare, so I killed it. I do not need others for any purpose, so I did not kill them.
Hunting without a purpose is just cruelty.
Half an hour pa.s.sed, and we finally came across the first building. It is a six-story building and could be said to be in good condition, just slightly collapsed, but I would not dare to enter inside it. Tens formations are still active there, and half of them are broken.
"At least you have some sense," Rhea said with sarcasm. "If you want anything, I could get that for you," I said back.
She glared at me for a moment before silently walking away. To be honest, my runes have sensed something that is building that will be helpful to me.
If I had been alone and not been on the rescue mission, I would have gone there without any hesitation, but I could understand my priority, especially when it concerned the life of my good friend.
It had already been days since we had days since Jim had gotten himself trapped, and from what Rhea had told me, the place in which Jim had gotten himself trapped is not easy, and he might very well be fighting for his life right now.
We had just walked five minutes from the building when I saw the herb that caught my eyes and instantly used my strings to get it.
There are precious herbs and plants everywhere; a simple gra.s.s beneath my feet would be useful for the regular Emperors. The dense energy in the air makes every plant here is precious, and I plan to harvest whatever that caught my eyes, as long as it does not waste my time.
An hour pa.s.sed by, and we have pa.s.sed by tens of buildings, and I have harvested hundreds of plants, including one monster.
I am shocked in this last hour by the tens of buildings we have pa.s.sed through. Six buildings have something that has something which could be very useful to me.
The building I had pa.s.sed through fifteen minutes ago has given me a very intense reaction that, for a moment, I wanted to ask Rhea to stop so that I could explore that building and get the thing that had produced such an intense reaction from my ruin.
The thing is quite shocking as I have never experienced so many resource signals in such a short period of time.
It is like I am walking through the treasury and not a realm. I had already decided to go for some treasures hunting after I rescued Jim and would also return here when I have time in my hand with all the things I have to do.
"An exit," I said slowly.
Rhea"s eyes flashed in surprise before we moved toward it, avoiding a very powerful monster that was only a step away from reaching the Grandmaster cla.s.s.
Soon we could see the gate, it is about the same as the one we had entered, but its color is sky blue instead of the red that we have come from.
"It exit connected to Gate 6, which is in control of Grimms," She said, and we were just a step away when the door had disappeared from our view.
This is the most frustrating thing about this realm, the gates that disappear. Each gate would only remain in its place for six hours before it disappears and appear in a completely different place. It is the reason why Jim had fallen into his predicament.
They have found the thing they have come looking into this realm within a week of entering; it is searching for the gate took them nearly two weeks and fall into the trap.
We did not remain in our spot for long and continued on our journey, avoiding the dangers and also numerous tantalizing resources that would make even Grandmaster fight with his all.
Many times, I wanted to ask Rhea to stop and nearly did before my loyalty for my friend had stopped me.
ROOOOAR
We had just circ.u.mvented the gigantic broken formation that would have turned us into the cinders if we had got caught in it when suddenly, we heard a roar of a monster that shook us to every inch of our life.
