Chapter 2731 Melting Prison

BANNNG BANNNG BANNNG
The crown made tracking the spikes easier; my weapons became precious as they began to clash against tens of spikes every moment.
The spikes continued for more than a minute and came in thousands before they had finally stopped. Seeing that, I couldn’t help but take a sigh of relief; it was the strongest attack I had ever experienced, and even with the crown, I was fighting with the real possibility of the spikes. .h.i.tting me.
“Bravo, I have to say, Zaar; you are really something.” “Despite the suppression, you are able to defend against such a powerful attack,” It said, referring to suppression, which is barely affecting me.
Before coming to this ruin, I have made a big breakthrough in suppression isolation; now my aura is enough to isolate most of the suppression, and those extremly powerful, I will have activated a few runes which will create a film around my body, which will isolate all the suppression against me.
It is a great tool, slightly heavy on the energy, but it is a trade that is very well worth it, considering I usually have to activate domains to isolate the powerful suppressions, which costs a load of energy.
“I would have really preferred if you had died by this attack; it had saved the ancestral weapon energy for the next attack,” It said with a hint of regret before it turned to me. “You really are h.e.l.l-bent on making me spend more energy on my ancestral artifact, aren’t you?” It asked with its anger and hate.
“You can try with all your strength, but little artifact and this little prison would be completely useless to me,” I said, and the anger in its eyes burned.
“Good, it would be the greatest moment of my life seeing when I will take this confidence of your turn it into absolute horror,” it said with its blue eyes flooded with an ocean of anger.
It seemed like it was very angry that I did not die under the previous attack, forcing it to take more energy from its precious ancestral artifact.
I had opened my mouth to reply in something snarky when I felt the intense feeling of danger and saw the holes on the pillars widening up till they reached the diameter.
BOOM BOOM BOOM
The holes had just stopped growing when suddenly I felt something from big holes, and a moment later, the loud booming noises rang out in unison, and the huge ball of spikes which were even bigger than myself, came at me in a crus.h.i.+ng mountain force.
Their aura is powerful that I wanted to activate the fourth boost immediately; I also crushed down the impulse to bring out my s.h.i.+elds.
This is an extremely powerful attack, and I want to try my hands against it. This is the decision I am very well going to regret, but it is the only thing that will satiate my battle l.u.s.t for a while, as it has become clear that this b.a.s.t.a.r.d wouldn’t give me a chance to fight in close range.
Seeing this is likely the last attack I will face with my weapons; I harnessed every bit of the power I had and also powered my weapons with my enchantment and sent them toward those huge b.a.l.l.s with wickedly sharp spikes; just seeing those made me shudder all over my body.
BANNNNG!
My lance clashed against the first ball, and immediately, my eyes went wide in shock as I flung back in immense force while spurting the blood out of my mouth.
I had expected the attacks to be extremely strong, but still, its power had caught me off guard and flew back toward the huge ball in behind, while the other spiked b.a.l.l.s curved their trajectory to come toward me.
BANNNNG!
I am moving fast toward the ball coming behind me and others also coming toward me; I cannot let them crash against me, or the price I will pay will be far greater than the injuries I have suffered.
Thankfully, I have prepared for such scenarios.
BANNNNG BANNNNG BANNNNG
I had reached the huge spiked ball, and now there was only a distance of one meter between it and me when I forcefully stopped as the ball crashed against my s.h.i.+eld, and a fraction of a second later, another few crashed, lighting my s.h.i.+elds like the bulb.
I took a deep breath and wiped the blood off my lips before turning toward the Grimms, whose eyes had turned raging as it looked at my s.h.i.+elds.
The last time, it was these s.h.i.+elds that had stopped it from killing me before rescue had arrived. It really hates them, and it is visible in its eyes, even with the huge spiked b.a.l.l.s that are clas.h.i.+ng against my s.h.i.+elds every moment.
“So, you have summoned your s.h.i.+elds,” he said; “I did; your attacks are truly powerful that I could not survive against them without summoning my s.h.i.+elds,” I praised, but it seemed like it had taken it as an insult given its expressions would have become worse.
“This time, you will not be able to get away,” It said with gritted teeth, and the attack stopped.
A moment later, the Grimm waved its hand, and the stone trident, which was calmly floated above the prison, came down before touching the prison; just that had happened, it melted and transformed into thousands of runes which began to around the prison.
Seeing that, the shock and alarm couldn’t help but rise in my heart; I knew about the inheritance of ancestral artifacts enough to know it was sacrificing the artifact for power; I truly did not think the Grimm was willing to pay such a high price to kill me.
Soon, the stone runes spread completely over the prison, leaving not a single s.p.a.ce open.
“Burning Sacrifice,” It said, and at that very moment, the whole prison burst into flames.
The flames were blue and grey and clearly were water elemental in nature, but they were extremely powerful; just a touch of them was more powerful than a clash of the spiked ball, and now a dense fire covered my sphere of s.h.i.+elds.
The power of the attack couldn’t help but surprise me, but it was not the only attack there; I saw the pillars and the disk melting.
The vax-like substance is flowing down the pillars, and it is moving at the s.h.i.+eld, slowly covering it. Seeing that, a hint of fear couldn’t help but appear in my eyes for the first time.
I wanted to run away, but I could not; the powerful boundaries still existed, and I was not powerful enough to break them, so I could suffer in silence as more and more melted substances covered me, making the fire denser and more powerful.
A minute pa.s.sed, and the whole prison melted; 20% had already covered my s.h.i.+elds, and the rest slowly covered it, layer by layer, making it stronger and stronger.
Seeing how the melted substance was becoming solid after covering my s.h.i.+elds, I felt like they wanted to bury me alive by doing that. There were powerful Grimm ones who used to do that; it had even buried one of our Grand Lords alive.
