This is the man that could change my life, my dad that works on the farm selling whatever he can, would be able to relax for the rest of his life if I succeed!
Alrun: "Phorb, what chance do you think you have? You might have an impressive build, but it doesn"t mean you might have no potential."
Alrun: "That Light could ruin us!" He said while whispering to his friend in front of him
Phorbes: "Shhh! It is my turn next, the poor girl from the Yulder family didn"t even stand a chance. She spoke all the time in cla.s.ses that she was as strong as a Tier 2." He smirked.
Alrun: "Hmph, She got what she des-"
I watched as Phorb walked up towards the formidable pole with a calm stride, I have never seen him act like this.
As soon as she left from beside the pole he immediately took her place! He must be showing that he is paying a great deal of attention and the maximum amount of respect to this test.
He must be under a lot of pressure, this could change the rest of his life!
While holding my breath I watched as the light on the top of the pole started radiating a lot more light than before!
I almost shrieked with joy that my best friend was accepted!
{Keleman View}
With this kind of potential early on; I must be really lucky!
I can"t tell what his character is like, I"ll just have to find out in the combat segment.
I pointed out the next candidate, it was yet another man.
He had red short hair, a smaller build and looked a bit excited.
"Stand beside the pole," I said simply.
He jumped a bit at my words and did as I said.
"Don"t be so nervous, as long as you have the potential to reach the First Tier you will be fine." I consoled him
I turned on the Limit Sensor and I saw:
[Talent Levels]
[Body: D]
[Mind: C+]
[Maximum Projected Level: Tier 4.6]
[Other Features Locked]
[Please strive to level up host! More features can be unlocked!]
It"s a pretty good talent projection but sadly he is only a D ranked talent in the body.
I gripped the switch and the light about 25% less light than before shown across their faces.
I could tell he was satisfied immediately when he looked as if he were about to cry.
"Not bad, You have the talent to reach the Fourth Tier," I said while eyeing him.
His expression grew even more as he left to go towards the girl and the other man.
After this, I did another and his talent reading was an H in both magic and body.
I felt so bad for the small guy, but I can"t accept him right now.
I pressed the switch and the tiniest bit of light shown out, mush dimmer than any since the start.
The kid looked devasted, he didn"t even look like he was 17 years old.
"I"m sorry, but you don"t have the qualifications to join yet. However, that can change. If any of you who fail to pa.s.s want to try to join later, come back in a year or so." I said in an indifferent voice.
I promise you won"t have to wait long! I will draw out an extreme amount of talent from you once I buy the upgrader!
Things kept progressing and the turnover rate was a bit unexpected.
42 of the people that came actually pa.s.sed the test. 34 of them only had the potential of Tier 1.
Four of them had Tier 2 Potential.
Two of them had Tier 3 Potential
And the final two seemed to be friends, they have been chatting away since they have been waiting.
They are both Tiered 4 and 5.
The group was standing around the arena, some looked nervous and didn"t talk. However, most of the ones above Tier 2 potential were talking and introducing themselves.
A burst of confidence came with knowing that you had the potential to be strong
As I looked at the group I could tell my sect would soon be bustling. I still need to trim out the ones that are unable to do battle.
I suspect that at least 10 people will fail the combat phase. The method I devised should work for this amount of people.
As I said some encouraging words towards the people who failed, I turned and headed towards the arena and stood beside it as I began to tell the people who pa.s.sed the pre-screening how the combat phase would function.
"Well done for making it through the screening, those of you who have pa.s.sed have at least the potential of becoming as strong as 10 regular people combined."
"Are you all ready for the true test of this Entrance Examination?" I asked them while slightly flipping my robe around.
They all enthusiastically did a standard salute with their hand to their chest and yelled "Ha!".
"Good, the final part of the examination is inside this arena," I explained.
All of them didn"t have that much of a surprised look, because the purpose of the arena was quite clear. However, actually confirming their thoughts seemed to send a shiver down their spine.
These people before used to be common-folk and farmers who went to school or worked for the lowest amount of Rhudium Coin so they could survive.
"I will explain the rules of the examination now," I stated with my back to the arena.
"In this arena, you will all draw a lot number. There are twenty-one numbers inside of this box." I said as I took the box out from my bag.
Before I started I made up to eighty of these lots and put a small red box in my bag, after the first phase I counted them up and while they waited I put the appropriate amount of lots inside.
"There are forty-two lots inside of the box with a pair to each of them. The number you draw will represent who you will fight with. One at a time I will call number one through twenty-one."
"This will continue until everyone has completed one match. Afterward, we will do this one more time. After a short break." I continued.
"By the end of the combat exam, if you have lost twice you will fail the Entrance Examination," I concluded
"Are there any questions?"
One of the three girls in the group raised their voice and asked "What are the rules? Surely killing isn"t allowed right?"
She sounded a bit scared, so I answered her smoothly "I was about to explain the rules next. I will go ahead and explain the combat rules and we will begin."
"As for the actual combat rules, you cannot use any weapon. You are not allowed to use any one-use item that will hurt your opponent such as a talisman. You are allowed to fight to your fullest." I said confidently.
"This Arena will stop any fatal attacks from occurring while you are inside of it. So if you were to be fatally punched in the head, you would survive. Of course, this will not save you from being bruised and such. You will still feel pain." I explained.
They seemed to be relieved at the fact that they would not be seriously injured.
"Now, we will begin the Combat Test, of the Rising Sun Entrance Examination!"
