Chapter 148: Clearly Not the Same Type as Him

Her heartbeat picked up the pace a little as she saw Liu Mingchen’s handsome features look troubled, tinged with shyness and concern, and she hesitated…
Seeing that some nosy pa.s.sersby were already crowding around to watch, Lin Nuan wondered if she should reject him outright?
But… rejecting him in public, would it make it hard for Liu Mingchen to accept?
After a moment of hesitation, Lin Nuan reached out to take the bouquet of roses, thinking of clearing it up with Liu Mingchen later on the car.
Seeing Lin Nuan accept the flowers, Liu Mingchen let out a sigh of relief, happiness filling his eyes.
Tang Zheng’s heart tightened and he felt that Old Fu was in danger!
Walking even faster, Tang Zheng walked forward and called out with a smile, “Lin Nuan!”
Liu Mingchen turned around.
Tang Zheng was walking towards them in a s.h.i.+rt and suit pants, his long and narrow eyes darkened with what seemed to be a smile. His thin lips were curled up with a hint of unbridled playfulness; he was clearly not the same type as him.
Seeing Tang Zheng reminded Lin Nuan of how she almost ended up doing it with Fu Huai’an last night, making her face and ears turn red involuntarily.
Liu Mingchen saw Lin Nuan’s reaction and wondered if the man was the one Lin Nuan liked.
Tang Zheng indeed had the looks that women fell for—just his face alone was enough to touch a woman’s heart.
Lin Nuan hugged the flowers tightly as she looked at Tang Zheng, trying to ignore the rising rate of her heartbeat, but unable to get rid of the image of how Tang Zheng had barged into the room yesterday.
“Why are you here?” Tang Zheng’s gaze swept across Liu Mingchen before finally landing on Lin Nuan, sticking both hands in his pockets as he smiled at her.
Lin Nuan didn’t answer Tang Zheng’s question, instead, faking calm as she asked, “Do you have any business with me, Mr. Tang?”
The exit of the carpark had already been jammed up with a lot of cars honking loudly but Tang Zheng acted as though he didn’t hear it. The security guard ran out to see what was going on, only to see an expensive luxury car parked at the exit and he was clueless on what to do for a moment, only shouting around, “Whose car is this?!”
“You don’t have to be so formal with me. Calling me Mr. Tang is too distant. You can just call me Tang Zheng, or call me Old Tang like Old Fu does!” Tang Zheng purposely mentioned Fu Huai’an.
Lin Nuan’s grip on the bouquet grew tighter as she felt all the more that Tang Zheng hadn’t come with good intentions.
“My car broke down and I’m rus.h.i.+ng to the Kai De Organization building now. It’s rather urgent, can you let your friend drive me over? It’s a bad time for my car to break down since it’s hard to get a cab right now,” Tang Zheng said, his brain working quickly. Looking sincere, he pointed at the car he had abandoned at the carpark exit. “I’m even blocking the exit.”
Liu Mingchen agreed quickly, saying that it wasn’t a problem and that he could send Tang Zheng over.
Lin Nuan kept silent.
Lin Nuan was extremely unwilling, but the car belonged to Liu Mingchen who had already agreed, so she had no reason to reject on his behalf.
The others were fine, but these two friends of Fu Huai’an—one Tang Zheng and one Lu Jinnan—never had good words coming out of their mouths. If Tang Zheng mentioned what happened between her and Fu Huai’an last night, how awkward would it be?
Tang Zheng happily ran over to the guard and told him that his car had broken down and could only be left to block the exit, the tow-car would arrive within 20 minutes at the latest.
Left with no choice, the guard directed all the vehicles to reverse and exit from the east exit, blocking the west gate with a road obstacle.
Lin Nuan looked over at the empty car and wondered what exactly Tang Zheng was planning.
