It was Wen Moshen’s first time facing the media since his return, so the majority was most interested in how Wen Moshen managed to escape alive from the missing airplane incident. They also wanted to know how many survived, how he lived the past few years, and how he got rescued.
Wen Moshen sat on the side of the three-seater sofa that was closer to Lin Nuan’s armchair. He had his legs crossed as he leaned back comfortably on the backrest. He slowly and calmly described the incident and occasionally even sounded humorous, making the audience feel their hearts ache and at the same time feel respect for Wen Moshen’s accepting mentality.
What happened that year was that after the plane flew off-course, it spiraled down and crashed onto an uninhabited island just like in the movies.
Wen Moshen turned to the camera and spoke, apologizing that he was the lone survivor of the airplane accident.
The family members of the victims of the T-324 missing flight instantly broke down and cried…
Since Wen Moshen’s return, they had been waiting for news from him, wis.h.i.+ng that Wen Moshen would give them some hope and tell them that their relatives were still alive. Even if Wen Moshen had officially announced that everyone else didn’t make it when he first returned, they were still hoping for a miracle.
Many family members spent so much effort and money to get the tickets to attend the live interview just for some hope, but their hope… was ultimately broken.
Wen Moshen told the family members sitting amongst the live audience that he had already tried his best to bury the bodies of the victims properly. Since they didn’t know each other, he was extremely apologetic that he couldn’t erect proper tombstones for them. He hoped that the dead would find peace while he expressed his condolences for the living families.
Wen Moshen couldn’t resist the strange sensation in his throat, and he turned his head slightly to cover his lips with his fist, having an intense fit of coughing.
Lin Nuan could tell the strong emotions Wen Moshen was trying to resist and she pa.s.sed a gla.s.s of water to him, saying, “Mr. Wen has already tried his best to protect the dignity of the victims, your actions are indeed respectable, you don’t have to apologize.”
Upon hearing “Mr. Wen”, Wen Moshen’s throat felt even more uncomfortable as though something was stuck there.
“Thank you…” Wen Moshen took the cup of water as he continued to cough violently, causing some of the warm water to splash out of his cup.
Lin Nuan could not bear it anymore, so she took the cup and placed it on the coffee table before pa.s.sing Wen Moshen a piece of tissue, naturally raising her hand to rub his back gently. She asked him in a low voice, “Are you ok? Do you want to take a break?”
Wen Moshen shook his hand but Gu Hanyan, who had been seated off-stage, already came up.
Seeing her entrance, Lin Nuan sat to the side.
Calming down after some time, Wen Moshen apologized to everyone and resisted his coughing bout, saying, “We can continue! Cough, cough…”
Gu Hanyan stood on the stage worriedly, wondering if she should go back down or stop Wen Moshen from continuing.
“Nuan Nuan, we can continue…” Wen Moshen turned his deep gaze and said to Lin Nuan, feeling some discomfort in his throat.
Hearing Wen Moshen call her as such on-stage, Lin Nuan was slightly surprised.
There was a rather loud buzz among the live audience.
Lin Nuan called Wen Moshen as Mr. Wen, but Wen Moshen called Lin Nuan as Nuan Nuan.
Upon seeing the reaction, Wen Moshen hurriedly explained, “Sorry, MC Lin is my younger sister that I grew up with and I’ve grown used to calling her by her nickname for the 10 or more years we’ve known each other. I’m not as professional as MC Lin on the program.”
Gu Hanyan gave Lin Nuan a deep gaze. For the sake of not interrupting the program recording, she still went back off the stage after some hesitation.
Seeing that Wen Moshen’s chest had resumed a peaceful up-and-down pace, Lin Nuan then continued, “Then… During this accident, what were your strongest thoughts and feelings?”
