After the kiss incident at the table, Tian decided to stay away from Qin. She would try and avoid him at any cost. She would make silly excuses like she was feeling ill or was having period pain just so she could avoid him. In return, Qin never bothered her. He didn"t want to hurt her after all.

Tian had lost count of the days she has been here. A week. Maybe a little near to month. She heard from maids talking about Qin and Sir Devant going out to work, but no matter where Tian looked, she could not find the exit. Outside the ma.s.sive mansion, all she could see was an endless field of emptiness and just gra.s.s. Qin did let Tian go outside but she was always accompanied by a maid.

At night, the sky was bright and clear. Stars shimmered everywhere. The moon was always full and it looked like a bright bulb that somebody had just put there. Sometimes, there will be a metro shower. All the while, Tian had just stared at it through the window that was shut and sealed.

Tian never slept on the bed but when she woke up, she always found herself in bed. No matter how much she thought about it, things didn"t add up. She would be on the sofa but on the bed in the morning. Every night, she would make sure that the door is shut and that a chair is put in the way so that the door handle won"t turn.

Although the mansion provided Tian with a life full of luxury goods, it was not the ideal life anyone would want to live. Being under surveillance all the time. It was like a parrot in its cage. To make matter worse, there was: No wifi! No laptop! No phone! What kind of century was this suppose to be again?

"I want you to go and tell your grumpy bear master that I want my phone!" Tian was sat in the living room which had a traditional interior design to it. She was sat on the sofa as you would sit on the floor. Feet on the sofa with a cushion on the lap. The perfect plan to make her look detestable. This was maybe the 25th time Tian had this argument.

"His Majesty said that we should not give you any devices." The maids reply in a terrified manner.

"Oh my gosh! Is he serious? Do you know how many episodes I have missed my favorite drama?" The maids just shake their head in disapproval. Obviously, they don"t know what drama Tian was talking about at all.

"How many episodes have you?" As soon as Tian heard this voice, she knew who it was. She didn"t even have to turn around to know who it was. It had been a long time since she last heard him or even seen him.

Qin stays still at the door. He leans against the door and gestures his hands for the maids to leave. Just like that, the maid disappears in thin air. Tian picks up the cushion in her lap and throws it straight towards Qin"s direction. To her surprise, he doesn"t dodge but instead gets. .h.i.t straight with the cushion on his face.

"Whose fault do you think it is?!" Tian shouts straight at him. He disappears when she wants to ask him a question but reappears at the worst time.

"You have locked me in here like a bird in its cage. Have you forgotten who I am supposed to be?!" This time Tian will get the truth from him.

"Of course I know who you are. You are Tian. My Tian. My Love. My family..." Before Qin can continue, Tian cuts him off.

"Just stop with my this and my that. I am not an object! What about me?! What about my family?" Tears start to blur Tian"s vision. She hates herself for being powerless in this situation.

"Have you ever considered that maybe you got the wrong person?" Tian speaks in a calm manner.

Qin instantly moves away from the door and straight away hugs Tian tightly. He holds her strongly as if he was afraid of losing her. Tian could feel him trembling slightly.

"No. You are mine. Mine alone. I can never mistake you for someone else, Tian." Tian struggles to try and get out of his strong grip.

"Are you a psychopath? Let go of me." Qin lets out a burst of slight laughter. He lets her out of his embrace but still holds her from the arms. He touches her face but Tian turns her face away.

"You have me. In this world, you just need me and no one else." Qin tries to a.s.sure Tian like this was the place she belonged to and nowhere else.

"Don"t fu*k with me. This century is not male-dominated. I am not going to lay around here and wait for you every day, just so you can come here to talk about me like I belong to you. I don"t need to rely on you." Tian could feel the blood rushing to her cheeks. From embarra.s.sment? No, maybe it was from anger?

Qin chuckled at how Tian swore at him. He has listened to Tian swear more than anyone else he knew. Although he found her a little fierce, he still loved her. No matter how many times she changes.

"Get your att.i.tude straight here Lady." Qin smiles while talking to her. He looked like he was scolding her but for some reason, it sounded full of affection. "Although, you don"t remember anything now, one day everything will come back to you. Also, my Queen, I love your fierce side but you need to be sensible."

"Who is your Queen?" Tian removes Qin"s hand away from her shoulder.

"Anyways, get yourself ready. We will be going out for a few days." Tian instantly looks at Qin. Going out? Was this real? Is this the chance where she will finally be able to escape from here? Qin flicks Tian forehead.

"Don"t leave my sight while we are outside. It"s a dangerous world." Tian looks up at Qin while he talked to her. There were many things that Qin said but all Tian knew and heard was the word: Escape. Repeating over and over again in her mind.

"Well, then I will tell your maids to prepare your stuff. We will leave tomorrow." Qin kissed Tian"s forehead and just like that he left the room.

Tian sat back down on the sofa. She smiled to herself but tears still dripped out of her eyes. After the number of times, she tried to escape from here, the opportunity finally came to her. She could be free again.

"This is it. I can go home." Tian started to plan strategy on leaving. First and most important priority was to escape. Nothing else but just this.
