Chapter 141: The Outraged Ji Bo

In the VIP lounge, Tang Yun’s sobs were clearly audible.
Sometimes she was very dominating and bossy and wanted to have Jing Yichen all to herself, and sometimes she played the victim, pleading and innocent, painting a sorry picture of herself in front of Jing Yichen.
By the time she was done parading both sides of her personality, Jing Yichen had lost his calm as well.
Everyone knew that once Jing Yichen made up his mind about something, he would not change it. He was definitely going to send Tang Yun away.
Jing Yiran was already very difficult to deal with, what with Jing Zhongxiu and the grandparents protecting him all the time. Their mollycoddling had made his impudent actions more rampant than ever.
He would see to it that Tang Yun and Shangguan Ning weren’t in the same city. It would put Ning into an even more vulnerable position because Tang Yun would stop at nothing to get what she wanted.
Jing Yiran and Tang Yun were both vicious and conniving people. If they were to ever join forces, the consequences would be catastrophic.
He couldn’t even bring himself to be churlish with Tang Yun. She had saved his life. Had it not been for her, he would have been tormented ruthlessly and in all likelihood, even ended up losing his life, all those years ago.
Tang Yun was only seventeen years old then, but she protected him by putting her in front of him, s.h.i.+elding him from those malicious killers.
He would always remember her slender frame and her fearless voice at that moment.
In those terrible days of their past, it was this very silhouette and this very voice that brought him warmth and comfort. She had been the only gleam of sunlight in his dark life.
When the bullet pierced through her tender chest instead of his, he was astounded. She had fallen into a swollen river that flowed beneath the bridge, on which they stood. The angry waves swallowed her body within moments, and Jing Yichen collapsed to the ground, out of shock.
Since then, he had looked for her in vain. He wouldn’t stop until he saw her dead body. He needed closure. Ten years later, when he was finally able to find Tang Yun, he couldn’t believe that she was alive. He wanted to protect her for the rest of his life.
That is why he had no hesitation in bringing her back to China.
That was also why he would tolerate whatever Tang Yun did to him, or said to him and would never go against her wishes.
She had played tricks on him, thrown tantrums, schemed and plotted against him – basically caused him a lot of trouble, but he had turned a blind eye to all of them. He also tolerated her misbehaviour when she went around spreading the rumor that she was his fiancée. In reaction to that, all he had done was requested her to stop. He hadn’t even raised his voice.
There was only one thing he couldn’t tolerate – and that was causing any kind of harm to Shangguan Ning – and that is exactly what Tang Yun had done.
He was not going to let go of anybody who had ever dared to hurt Shangguan Ning.
Tang Yun may have been a gleam of hope and sunlight in his life in the past, but Shangguan Ning was the sun of his entire life. She changed his life from a dull grey to one that was full of colours and love.
Shangguan Ning was the only woman he loved in his life. She shouldn’t be the one to settle the debt he owed to Tang Yun.
Sending Tang Yun abroad, was the only way out, at the moment.
He was still going to send his convoy of men to protect her and to make sure that she would live without worries. William, her old American boyfriend, was a gambler. Although he was a member of the American Mafia, he treated Tang Yun nicely. Tang Yun also had feelings towards him, and he would make sure that the couple would never have to worry about not having enough money, in their entire lives.
He had never promised Tang Yun a marriage. He thought that he had made that very clear.
Since talking and explaining didn’t work, he had to use force.
“You must go back to the USA today, and you are not allowed to return without my permission. Lee Yong and his team will follow you all the time and keep me updated with everything. If there is anything you need, tell them and it shall be provided to you.”
After Jing Yichen finished saying what he had to say, he left VIP lounge with Mu Qing, without waiting to hear anything more of what Tang Yun wished to say.
When Tang Yun saw him behave in this way, her eyes were full of hatred. She said fiercely, “Jing Yichen! You have forced me to do this but remember that If I can’t get what I want, no one else can either!”
No matter how much she cried or fussed, Lee Yong and his team forced her to accompany them and board the flight.
Jing Yichen dropped Mu Qing off at the hospital and returned to Landscape Compound. street.
He had just come out of the elevator on his floor, when Tiger came up to him and said. “Master Jing, Master Ji is here to see you.”
Master Ji meant Ji Bo.
Jing Yichen pulled out the house keys, opened the door and instructed Tiger, “Just tell them that the Lady was very frightened and upset last evening, so we are not upto meeting anyone.”
Tiger nodded and walked out.
At the gate of Landscape Compound, Ji Bo was sitting in a black Porsche. He was dressed in a dark grey suit, a white s.h.i.+rt and a light cyan tie. His hair was neat and his arms that held onto the steering wheel, were muscular. He looked suave and charming.
On the face of it, everything looked alright, but a closer look would reveal hints of tiredness and exhaustion on his handsome face. His eyebrows were narrowed and he looked stressed.
Even though he was abroad, he flew back overnight, just for the sake of his cousin Ji Lili.
Ji Lili had caused a lot of trouble for the entire family, since she was little. It had always been Ji Bo who had helped to smoothen out all those matters. Just like now.
When the family got to know that she was thrown into prison by the police, because of Jing Yichen, grandma was extremely furious and aunt Ji Minyu had suffered a sudden heart attack. The atmosphere at home was extremely tense and as soon as Ji Bo got home, he was ordered to meet with Jing Yichen and bring Ji Lili back home at the earliest.
In Ji Bo’s opinion, it would be best if Ji Lili would spend some more days in prison! The world would be a wonderful place without the likes of her.
Unfortunately, he was not only expected to bail her out, but also lose many shares of Family Ji Enterprise, in the process.
He wasn’t on great terms with Ji Yichen. Ji Bo had been trapped by him many times in the past. He still chose to come here anyway.
But the moment he heard what Tiger had to say, his mood turned sour.
Only Jing Yichen, in all of A City, had the courage to not give a d.a.m.n about Ji Bo.
Jing Yichen was way too conceited!
Ji Bo got back home, in a fit of anger. His grandmother and aunt came up to him and asked him expectantly,”Where is Lili?””How is she?”
Ji Bo was extremely exhausted, but he still replied patiently. “If you resign from your post of the city’s mayor, Aunt, Jing Yichen would definitely allow you to meet Lili. If you want Cousin Lili back home, The Family Ji Enterprise would need to bear a huge financial loss. I’m not sure if I’m ready to do that just yet.”
Ji Enterprises was in direct compet.i.tion with Jing Enterprises. Ji Bo and Jing Yichen were business rivals. Ji Bo understood Jing Yichen very well. No matter how Jing Yichen went about doing it, in the end, he would always succeed.
Just like the buyout of Star Media a year ago. The odds had been stacked against him, in the beginning. Only Jing Yichen had been able to miraculously turn that sale around into a huge profit making venture for Jing Enterprise.
Lady Ji and Ji Minyu not only looked like each other, but also had the same temperament. The moment they heard what Ji Bo said, they started to get worked up.
Ji Bo didn’t try to persuade them, allowing them to vent and scream like two women who clearly didn’t know better.
While they were wasting precious time, Ji Lili was the one who suffered in prison. Ji Bo had hoped that Ji Lili would face a few hards.h.i.+ps in prison, so that she could learn the lesson that she would never forget.
She had offended Jing Yichen by ridiculing his wife in public. She had even forced her to kneel down in front of so many people. That was equivalent to losing face. Family Jing was bound to react in this way.
Family Ji was going to lose a great deal of money this time. This G.o.dd.a.m.ned Ji Lili! He had spent so many years working hard to earn this money and all of it was wasted in compensating for her senseless mistakes.
