My Way To You

Chapter 217

"You"re starting to freak me out." Ariana said in a high pitched voice. Gregory hung his head in shame. "My aunt and Zula... ummm... cough... They pointed out the problems in my plans." Gregory said pitifully. "Okay, sure but why the att.i.tude change. You never liked me so I can"t comprehend why you would hug me?" Ariana asked as she looked at the top of Gregory"s head

"I was told how to properly ask for forgiveness from Zula. She did mention a kiss on the forehead but that was too much for me." Gregory explained as he raised his gaze. The two locked eyes and Ariana could see that he was telling the truth. "Honestly that would have been too much for me too. I would have been running out screaming from your room." Ariana said with an awkward laugh.

"Truth is, I felt like we bonded the other night... then you said you couldn"t remember... Well I felt a little lonely." Gregory said with a bittersweet smile. "Nope too much." Ariana said as she crossed her arms in front of her to show an "x" sign. "Sorry but I"m still trying to get over the hug." Ariana said with a small giggle. "You"re teasing me?" Gregory asked as his face started to lighten up. "Ya... I"m teasing you but it doesn"t mean I accepted your apology!" Ariana said as she dropped her arms.

"I will work on gaining your trust." Gregory sighed as he slowly got up from the floor. "That"s good. Oh I wanted to tell you that Mrs. Dabney did an examination on me while I was at her place last night." Ariana said as she scratched her cheek and averted her gaze. "Really?" Gregory asked awkwardly. "Ya something about a vitamin deficiency. Apparently my first adoptive parents didn"t give me enough ugh!" Ariana said painfully as she doubled over.

Gregory quickly caught Ariana and held her tightly. "Hey are you okay?" Breeze asked as he tried to look at Ariana"s face. She had gone grey and started to sweat profusely. "It hurts." Ariana said in between heavy breathing. "Is it the vitamin deficiency?" Gregory asked in a panic. "I don"t know." Ariana said in a feeble voice. "Here come lay down." Gregory said as he help Ariana to his bed  "It"s going away now." Ariana said as her breathing became normal. "Is it that serious? You look positively awful princess." Breeze said as he moved a lock of sweat soaked hair from Ariana"s face.

"I should be fine." Ariana said weakly. "Should I go get Mrs. Dabney?" Breeze said as he rose. "No, it"s too early for the treatment. Plus she just had her baby. Gregory will take care of me. He promised he would." Ariana said as she looked at Gregory. "You should spend the night here for now. If you relapse I will get Mrs. Dabney to look you over. If it"s the vitamin deficiency then we need to start treatment and keep you from cla.s.ses until you get better." Gregory said firmly. "Thank you." Ariana said as she started to close her eyes. "Wait shouldn"t you get changed first?" Breeze asked but Ariana gave him a gentle smile. "I"m... To... Tired." She said slowly before she closed her eyes.

Ariana woke up and the sun was setting. Gregory was sitting on a chair as he read a book. "Did Breeze leave?" Ariana asked as she slowly sat up. "He left not that long ago." Gregory replied as he closed the book. "How long have I been out?" Ariana asked. "About 2 hours." Gregory replied. Then he got up and placed the book on to his chair. "Is it time?" Gregory asked in a low voice. Ariana shook her head no. "I don"t think so. It might have been stress." Ariana said pitifully. "You sure?" Gregory asked as he took a few steps forward and grabbed her chin. He turned her face left the right trying to find some sort of hint.

"I actually don"t know. My Lumas would have warned me." Ariana said. "Vasu?" She called out but he didn"t respond. "Vasu?" Ariana tried again. "Sorry, I don"t want to face this man." Vasu whispered into Ariana"s ear. "That"s okay, I won"t force you but is my period coming early?" Ariana asked Vasu. Gregory released Ariana"s chin and crossed his arms over his chest as he watched Ariana. "Not sure." Vasu replied. "So that was signaling my period coming? Was it stress?" She asked. "My guess is it was period cramps. You probably will be getting your period in the next few days." Davita chimed in.

"So soon." Ariana said as she paled. "The stress sped it up." Loralei explained. "So I might get it earlier then expected?" Ariana asked, hoping that their answer would be no. "Probably." Vasu stated and then went silent. "Great. Well I guess it"s not so bad it would be maybe three days earlier than expected so I should be fine, oh! Just in time for my meeting." Ariana said in order to cheer herself up and to let Gregory know that her period was coming.

"But why didn"t you warn me?" Ariana asked. "Breeze can hear us." Duko explained. "Right and Mrs. Dabney said vitamin deficiency then he can not doubt the diagnosis." Ariana said. "So vitamin deficiency?" Gregory asked. "Oh... There is some stuff I need to tell you...."

...

"Can you not keep a secret?!" Gregory shouted in frustration. Ariana withheld the information she learned about Mrs. Dabney but told him about Lobo. "I didn"t know I was being followed!" Ariana said in her defense. "Well at least that some more people on our side but what if things had gone wrong?!" Gregory shouted as he pulled back his cobalt blue hair. "No idea. Just lucky I guess." Ariana replied with a shrug. "You!" Gregory hissed as he pointed his index finger at Ariana. "Are incredibly lucky." Gregory sighed as he brought his hand down. "Depends on what side you"re looking from." Ariana said pitifully.

"Well let"s leave things as they are. Go back to the dorms for now." Gregory sighed. "Oh wait no. Let me walk you back. That p.r.i.c.k could be out there." Gregory said as he walked towards the room door. Ariana quickly got of the bed and followed Gregory.
