Cayden stayed silent, unsure on how to respond. "What happened to your earrings?" Cayden asked instead and Lobo clutched his hands into fists. He already reported everything to Cayden but he refused to answer Ariana"s question. He felt an unknown ache in his heart and decided to avert his gaze. Ariana recounted everything that had happened at the earth fairies domain and why she was out tonight. "You shouldn"t do things by yourself. You pushed Lobo away just so you could achieve your agenda. Why can"t you stay safe?" Cayden asked with a heavy sigh. "You won"t leave me alone again right? So do I really need to worry about my own safety?" Ariana asked innocently. Cayden"s face became shadowed by Ariana"s question and Lobo could feel his temper rising.
"You have me too you know." Lobo grumbled. "I know but a girl feels safer when the person they l-lo-look up to is watching and protecting them. Like a personal hero. Brothers don"t give that same warm feeling." Ariana said with a giant pout. Lobo"s jaw dropped, his heart ached even more. A mixture of guilt, jealousy and anger started to bubble upwards. Even though he felt nothing when they kissed, he couldn"t help but feel awful when he was told he wasn"t a hero.
He felt guilty that he failed protecting someone he swore his life too but somewhere along the line he actually felt that Ariana was his real little sister. He became overly protective of her and to see someone treating her coldly and not even answering her questions was infuriating. He wanted to hit Cayden in the back of the head for acting so stupid. Ariana was recognized by him, she deserved someone more worthy then the sc.u.mbag that was holding her, even though he saw Cayden as a blood brother.
He finally understood why his older brothers doted on his sisters, girls were national treasures! "Lobo you"ll need to stay here." Cayden said apologetically as they reached the female dorm barrier. Lobo growled his discontent. Ariana tapped Cayden"s arm. He looked at her and then gently placed her on the ground. Ariana approached Lobo and grabbed a small part of his shirt. Lobo looked in her direction and instantly blushed when he saw her face. She looked pitifully and innocent. "I"m sorry I yelled at you... I didn"t mean any of those mean things I said." Ariana said as she looked up from underneath her eyelashes.
Lobo pounced on Ariana and held her tightly in his embrace. "I can never stay made at my adorable little sister!" He shouted as he rubbed his head against her hair. "That"s enough." Cayden sneered as he pulled Ariana back. "No it"s not enough. She still needs my scent all over her to keep the bugs away." Lobo hissed as he tried to pull Ariana back. "That should be my job." Cayden said darkly. Sparks started to fly between the two as Ariana started to panic.
"Cayden it"s okay. I"m happy Lobo sees me like his little sister and it makes me happy that he treats me like one. Can"t I be spoiled by him every ince in a while? Lobo, Cayden is your friend and you said you wanted to be the fun uncle to our children. You can"t start fighting now. Please? He"s someone really important to me and you would be doing your little sister a huge favour." Ariana pleaded.
Lobo broke the staring contest and looked at Ariana with a warm smile. "Little sisters are the best." Lobo sighed. "Good. Now you guys make up and then will call it a night." Ariana said happily while in her heart she sighed a huge breath of relief. Lobo shook his head no. "First give me a hug and kiss goodnight then I will make up with this sister thief." Lobo said as he shot a cold glare at Cayden.
Ariana"s hair stood on end. She wasn"t expecting Lobo to ask such a thing. Though she did that kind of act with Roy, she was older now and it was really embara.s.sing for a teenager to do it. She nervously looked at Cayden and saw that his face didn"t change. She was floored, she over looked him not answering her questions but someone of the opposite s.e.x just asked her for something so intimate. She could feel her temper rising and she jumped into Lobo"s open arms. She hugged him tightly and planted a big kiss on his cheek. "Goodnight big brother." She said sweetly.
Lobo looked positively victorious as he hugged Ariana back. "Goodnight." He whispered then let Ariana go. He then turned to Cayden and extended out his hand. With a smug smile Cayden took Lobo"s hand and pulled him close. He hugged Lobo went as far as to rub his back affectionately then to Lobo"s and Ariana"s surprise Cayden kissed Lobo. He gave a long pa.s.sionate kiss in Lobo"s lips then kissed both of his cheeks. "Goodnight my dear brother." Cayden said in an overly sweet voice. Ariana stared at the two young men dumbfounded. Lobo had turned to stone, Cayden even kissed overtop of the area that Ariana kissed just moments ago.
Cayden grabbed Ariana"s hand and dragged her into the protected area, leaving a crumbling Lobo behind. "Y-y-you k-k-kissed Lobo!" Ariana stuttered her surprise as her eyes started to spin. "Sibling love." Cayden stated as he continued to pull her along. "Sibling?! Are you jealous? We honestly only see eachother as siblings. Lobo is very honest and pure with his actions. He told me everything about himself and it"s nice having someone around he cares so much for me. Roy is married to Rin and I don"t want to disturbe his life just because I"m a little lonely." Ariana explained as she stared at the back of Cayden"s head.
He stopped walking and turned to look at Ariana. His eyes glowing with murderous intent. Ariana shrunk back a little and felt that she needed to run away, her entire body screamed that she needed to flee. Cayden looked around and dragged Ariana towards the forest, he pushed her up against a tree and grabbed her chin. "Shut up." Cayden said angrily. "Why? I"m just being open with you." Ariana said with dissatisfaction. Cayden forced a kiss on her lips and then bit her bottom lip hard, soon blood trickled down. "What was that for?!" Ariana shouted. "Disinfection." Cayden growled.
