My Way To You

Chapter 262

"Yes but what about the others who are in just as bad shape? That"s not fair. I don"t want people relying on miracles to cure them. We need to move medical and technological advancements forward so everyone can be helped. Plus what would happen if I died before bringing my own children into this world? What if they don"t inherit anything from me? Will the world slip into darkness because no one wanted to help their fellow man because a holy ent.i.ty is around? Icarus that"s wrong. My existence is wrong so was my mother"s. Your kind should have moved forward especially with the information that is out there already. Instead it"s hidden and laughed at. I can"t stand that, I can"t let humanity stay where it"s at. So I"m changing it little by little as Ariana Drake, normal school girl." Ariana explained calmly.

Icarus looked down. He felt ashamed, he only thought about himself and what he could gain. "Sorry." He mumbled as he let her hands go. "Mmh. It"s fine, you"re not the first." Ariana said as he eyelids started to droop. Her head started to go down and she would catch herself. "Tired?" Icarus asked as he watched Ariana. "Ya. Really tired. I felt someone watching me last night and couldn"t sleep.... Yawn... I thought it was that weird mist creature. I don"t like being fooooood." Ariana said as she finally nodded off.

Icarus looked at Ariana and felt nervous. She just sat there, her head was down and she slightly slumped over. Her breathing had become soft and he had no idea what he should be doing. He hummed to himself as he drummed his fingers on his knee. He looked around nervously and gulped. He raised his arm and wrapped it around Ariana. He effortlessly leaned her on to his shoulder. He looked at her sleeping face and blushed a bright red. When she wasn"t talking she looked like a cute angel.

Icarus shook his head and told himself it was an honour to have the jewel eyed priestess"s daughter to us his body. Ariana"s gently breathing was starting to infect his own judgement. Icarus started yawning. His eyelids were started to get heavy. He looked around once more and thought it was okay. It was okay to just rest his eyes for a minute. He closed his eyes as he laid his cheek on top of Ariana"s head. Her hair was soft and smelled good. That was all Icarus remembered before nodding off.

"Ariana... Ariana.... Ariana!" Loralei"s voice echoed in Ariana"s dream. "Mmmh." Ariana mumbled as she cuddled further into her bed. "Get up Ariana! Please!" Davita shouted as her tail tapped Ariana"s cheek. "I"m getting up." Ariana grumbled as her eyelids fluttered. She felt a strange weight on her head but didn"t pay too much attention to it. She tried to focus her vision as the light a.s.sualted her. "Thank goodness I thought we were going to die!" Loralei cried. Ariana sobered up instantly she sat straight up and looked around. The weight shifted to her shoulder but again she didn"t care.

Icarus grumbled and brought Ariana closer. He rubbed his face into her hair before going back to sleep. Ariana broke out into a cold sweat. She didn"t know what to do. Icarus was embracing her so tightly as he slept while Lobo and Cayden glared at them from the other side of the barrier. Their eyes glowed red while a dark aura surrounded them. Davita looked at Ariana with pleading eyes. Ariana nodded her head and she went back to Ariana"s ear. "Good luck." She whispered.

.

"Hi." Ariana said awkwardly. "Hi." Lobo said as he cracked his knuckles. "What are you doing?" Cayden asked with a scary smile. Ariana practically cried on the spot. She looked at Icarus and hoped it could be explained. "It"s not what it looks like." She said nervously. "You sure because it looks pretty bad." Lobo replied as he smiled, showing off his canines.

"Icarus! Icarus! Please let go!" Ariana cried as she tried to shake Icarus off. The boys looked too scary and she didn"t want to provoke them further. "No-o, so soft, cuddly." Icarus mumbled. Ariana screamed internally as she dared herself to look at Lobo and Cayden. "I swear I just fell asleep I don"t know how this happened!" Ariana shouted in a panic. "So we should beat up Icarus for taking advantage of you." Cayden said as he drew and x on the barrier with his finger.

Ariana hair stood on end. "Icarus wake up before we"re killed!" Ariana yelled at the top of her lungs. "You"re so loud." Icarus said bitterly as he woke up. He looked at Ariana then followed her eyes. He looked to the right and saw Cayden and Lobo. "Cayden, Lobo." He said in his half sleep state. Suddenly he grasped Ariana"s shoulders and looked at her then the boys. He jumped back and fell on to the ground. He pushed himself backwards with his feet until he reached the barrier.

Cayden knocked on the barrier. Icarus looked up and broke out into a cold sweat. "What were you doing?" Cayden asked with a bright smile but his eyes reflected murder. "Nothing! We did nothing!" Icarus shouted. "Ariana." Loralei said in a trembling voice. Ariana walked up to the barrier and placed her hand on it. She had an idea. "Go back Loralei." She instructed. Loralei brought down the barrier and went back to her spot. "Thank goodness." She said as she turned into a stud earring.

Cayden reached out and tried to grab Icarus but Ariana grabbed his wrist. She gave him a cold glare before pulling him in for a hug. "Where were you?! I couldn"t find you and I couldn"t hold on any longer. I fell asleep while talking to Icarus." She complained with a giant pout. Cayden flinched. He looked at Lobo with a guilty face. "I was around." He replied. "You said nap! You said you owed me! But you left me instead! What if I pa.s.sed out on my way to school?! What if Flint found me?! You can"t just ditch me without saying anything!" Ariana cried bitterly.
