Rain switched off the microphone, tossed it to Breeze then walked over to the kitchen. Ariana stared at the neon green clock hoping to see what it would do but nothing happened. It stopped pulsing and started to tick by like a normal clock. "What does the green clock do?" Ariana called out as she refused to take her eyes off of the clock. "Alters time." Rain said as he opened the refrigerator. "How?" Ariana asked as she finally stopped staring at the clock and walked over to the kitchen to see what Rain was doing. "Magic." Rain replied. Ariana pouted. "Well duh! But I mean what else does it do? It has to do something you had to activate it right so what does it do exactly?" Ariana asked as Rain pulled out a plate of sausages and buns.
"I"ll tell you if I get something in return." Breeze called out as he adjusted himself. He sat up right and started to pat the area next to him. "It alters the time in the arena. Time is sped up in the arena while we stay in real world time. So for every 10 minutes in our time an hour goes by in the arena. The spectators are also in the range of the Clarus clock." Rain explained as he placed the plate and buns on the countertop.
He started to search in the pantries and pulled out oil and a pan. "No! Use the oven, healthier for you and less harsh on the stomach!" Ariana shouted as she rushed over to help.
She opened the drawer under the oven and found there was only one baking pan. She pulled it out and laid it over top of the stove top. She then pulled off her ribbon and tied her hair back into a ponytail. She then preheated the oven and then washed her hands. "Can you pull out some onions, pickles and tomatoes?" Ariana asked as she grabbed the oil and frying pan from Rain"s hands.
"Okay." Rain said as he walked to the refrigerator. The oven beeped just as Rain placed the ingredients beside the sausages. "Do you like fried onions or raw?" Ariana asked as she grabbed the tomatoes. She flipped the facuet on and water started to gush out. She quickly washed the tomatoes and waited for a response.
"I don"t like onions. They"re too strong." Rain replied as he scrunched up his nose. Ariana nodded her head. "Fried it is." She said as Rain pursed his lips. "Rain what else is in the fridge?" Ariana asked as she pulled open a drawer and was shocked to see only a single knife. She pulled out the knife and gave it a good wash. "Anything you want." Rain replied. "What do you mean?" Ariana asked as she placed the sausages on the baking pan and then placed it into the oven.
"The whole kitchen is enchanted. Just think of what you want and it will materialize in the proper location." Breeze called out. Ariana"s eyes grew wide. "For real?" Ariana asked in a high pitched voice. Rain narrowed his eyes as he tried to think of what Ariana was asking. "Sorry, you"re not making fun of me right? What you"re telling me is the truth." Ariana explained her question.
"For real." Rain said with a nod. He then walked to the fridge and opened it up for Ariana to look in. The refrigerator was empty. "d.a.m.n!" Ariana shouted excitedly. She then turned to Rain and pushed him out of the kitchen. "Leave the food to me. Just let me know what"s going on in the arena." Ariana said happily before she skipped back into the kitchen.
15 minutes later Ariana walked out with a plate of fully loaded sausages on a bun. She didn"t know where to place it and looked around. Rain brought up his index finger and it glowed a mint green as he flicked it. The sofa was moved back slightly and a coffee table appeared.
Ariana laid the plate down then rushed back to the kitchen. She then came back out with a plate of fries dressed with cheese curd and gravy. She then ran back and brought out a bowl of popcorn and a case of canned iced teas.
"Let"s enjoy the show." Ariana said as she sat down and grabbed a sausage. She took a huge bite and moaned. "This is so good." She said with a full mouth. Rain and Breeze looked at Ariana then the arrangement of food. She placed the sausage down and opened the case of iced tea. She popped the can and took a huge sip. "Oh that hit the spot!" Ariana shouted happily.
"What is this?" Breeze asked as he pointed at everything. His usually carefree att.i.tude was gone and he was extremely concerned. "Eats and drinks." Ariana said as she tossed Breeze and Rain a can of iced tea.
"Lift the tab and it will pop open. It"s iced tea, s-o good. That"s fully loaded suasages, it"s got fried onion, pickles, relish, mayo, ketchup, mustard, sauerkraut and tomatoes. This is poutine, it"s fries with cheese curds and gravy and b.u.t.tered popcorn. I, myself am partialy to cheesey dill but I have to share." Ariana said as she beamed.
She then placed the can of iced tea on the coffee table and picked up her sausage again. She made herself comfortable on the sofa and then started to eat again. Breeze looked amazed. He then turned to his master. Rain placed the can of the iced tea on the table then grabbed himself a sausage. He opened his mouth and took a small bite. Rain"s eyes practically popped out of his head.
He chewed as fast as he could and then grabbed a few fries. As he pulled the fries away the cheese streched out and the gravy dripped. He opened his mouth wide and plopped the fries in. Breeze gulped and decided to open the can of iced tea instead. He took a small sip, his eyes grew wide and he started to chug back the drink.
"Good right." Ariana said as she watched the two go to town with their food and drinks. They both nodded their heads. Ariana smiled then turned her full attention to the screens. Edlyn seemed to have found Ariana"s gift. Ariana couldn"t help but smile wickedly.
