My Way To You

Chapter 310

Edlyn walked along a stone path that over looked a wide cavity in the ground. She placed her hands on the cold surface of the caverns that she found while flying around with Thor. The arena was mostly comprised of water. There were many rock formations for them to roost on and a storm that could amplify Thor"s power but this place called out to her.

Thor walked cautiosly behind Edlyn as he looked over the edge into the cavity. At the bottom were pools of water all in different shapes and sizes. Edlyn could hear drops of water echoing with in the caverns along with their footsteps. A calm wind brushed up against their skin and Edlyn couldn"t help but feel safe.

She looked around in awe as the walked the rock path, even though it was a cavern the whole area was well lit with illumionous rocks from the water pools. The lights danced along the walls, dying them an aquamarine colour with white ripples. Above them, the ceilings were pitch black but she figured it was actually hidding some rock formations from the way the water dripped downwards. "Thor look above and tell me what you see?" Edlyn asked as she pointed upwards.

Thor sat on his bottom and looked up with his big eyes. His pupils tuned into thin, slits as he looked upwards. "Shelves and spiky things." Thor said as he looked back down. "Shelves and spiky things?" Edlyn asked. "Do you think you can take me up there? I"m pretty sure there is enough s.p.a.ce for you to fly." Edlyn said as she looked around to make sure her guess was accurate.

"Yes!" Thor shouted as he jumped towards the center of the cavern. Sparks started to fly as Thor changed. Thor then placed his feet on the ground but slipped into the water pools. Some pools were small while others were huge. "I don"t like it here." Thor said in a deep booming voice, it was very different from his sweet, toddler like voice but Edlyn smiled, Thor was Thor and she loved him.

"I know but I have a hunch." Edlyn said as Thor brought one of his wings downwards. Edlyn climbed it with ease and then sat on his back. Thor flapped his wings and started to fly upwards. The ceilings were higher then what she had thought. The closer they got they slower Thor flew.

Edlyn"s eyes started to grow wide, to her surprise the ceiling, the stalact.i.tes and ridges along the wall were sparkling with what looked like tiny stars. They couldn"t see the small stars from down below but up close they could differentiate everything. "Shelves and spiky things." Edlyn laughed. "I told you." Thor snorted.

"Let"s fly a little lower and see the rest of this cavern looks like." Edlyn instructed. "Mom, look up ahead." Thor said as they flew through the cavern. Edlyn smiled as she looked at what Thor pointed out.

.....

Viola slowly walked out of the ocean and onto the sh.o.r.eline, she removed the elongated canister from her lips and let it fall back over her chest. The moment her foot touched the sand her black flipper changed into a ballet flat. She took another step and her other flipper changed too. She looked around. To her left she could see a cliff with a light house in the distance. To her right were docs with an arragement of wodden, row boats tied to wooden posts.

She smilled as she walked towards the boats. "Ursula, look toys." Viola called out as she pointed to the boats. "Have some fun." Viola laughed. Suddenly large cyan blue tentacles with dark pink suction cups reached upwards and wrapped around the boats. A deafening sound surfaced from the water as the boats were pulled under.

The ropes snapped while some posts followed the boats downwards. Viola chuckled. "Now where is that insignificant rat?" Viola asked out loud as she looked around. Viola had already swam with Ursal around and found out that this was the only land in the arena.

The land was not very big, at most it was only a medium size island but it was land. It was a huge disadvantage to Viola as Ursula could only fight her best in the water. She did learn how to conjure a water helmet for Ursula so she could fight on land but she was too slow. She didn"t want to give Edlyn any advantages, she needed to lure her towards the whirlpool 30 kilometers out.

If she could trap her and her familiar in the whirlpool and Edlyn couldn"t get to her enchanted air canister in time. They could drown, no one would blame her since it would have been Edlyn"s carelessness for not reacting in time. "Master." Ursula called out in a low grumble. "What is it?" Viola asked as she narrowed her gaze. "Water is rising, I feel a disturbance in the water under the cliff." Ursual grumbled.

"Impossible we looked at the whole island. There should be nothing under that cliff." Viola spat as she turned her gaze towards the light house. "Too many rock formations there... we couldn"t get close." Ursula complained. "Right, Ursula you"ll need to change." Viola said bitterly. She didn"t want Ursula to change back but at this point she had no choice. She needed to trust Ursula"s words.

"Yes." Ursula said as she placed two tentacles onto the sh.o.r.e. She started to pull herself upwards as water rose with her ma.s.sive body. The water rolled off her like giant waterfalls, Ursula"s body started to shrink. Viola raised her hand and it started to glow a cyan colour. "Wai burbuila." Viola chanted as a water started to fly towards her hand. Soon it started to take shape and a beach ball sized bubble formed. A cyan mudskipper with dark pink fins jumped into the water bubble.

Viola sighed when she looked at her familiar swim about in the water bubble. She shook her head then started to walk towards the cliff. As she approach the cliff Viola could see what Ursula was talking about. Huge amounts of water was being sucked into an opening under the cliff. "Ursula is that natural? It can"t be just high tide in only one place?" Viola asked. "No master. It"s unatural." Ursula replied as she flapped her long fins.
