Chapter 1039: Follow For Follow
Amy and White continued to walk down the large streets, where they pa.s.sed a number of people who were live streaming or had a camera set up on the sidewalk and had just started to dance in front of it.
It truly fit the theme of the city. If a person wasn’t already here for entertainment-type work, then they were here trying to make it.
As they continued forward, they could see that their apartment was only a few streets ahead, but that’s when a foot stepped out right in front of them, and a figure had stopped their path.
“Amy!” White said as she grabbed onto her shoulders and pulled her back. She yanked Amy so hard the two of them almost fell over, and that’s when a single arm reached out and pulled them back up.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare the two of you like that,” Tyson said with a smile, rubbing the back of his head.
“It’s you again. You shouldn’t just come out like that,” White said. “And why is it always you? Are you following us or something?”
At that moment, Tyson’s cheeks turned red.
“No, you know I live in the same apartment block as you guys, so I thought we could just walk together, but I was trying to find the right time to ask.”
“So you rushed in front of us and jumped out?” White said, rolling her eyes. “How did you even get in front of us with us not knowing, you could have even made it seem more like a coincidence?”
“Ah, just forget it,” Tyson said, waving his hand and continuing to walk in the complete opposite direction, not toward the apartment they were heading to.
They watched Tyson for a while and saw him look back and quickly turn his head as he quickened his pace.
After they could no longer see Tyson, White nudged Amy on the shoulder.
“So what do you think?” White asked.
“What do you mean, what do I think?” Amy replied. “You mean Tyson is a good-looking person? Is that what you’re asking? He is part of AJ Entertainment after all.”
A while ago, a group of individuals had traveled with Gary when he did a doc.u.mentary for AJ Entertainment. Out of those people, Tyson was one of the individuals.
An Altered mainly used for certain advertis.e.m.e.nts and such. He wasn’t particularly a fighter, but he was more of a person selected for his good looks.
When in the apartment, Tyson had first approached the two girls and explained that he knew her brother.
Although when asked how they knew Amy was his sister, they didn’t really answer, and could only guess that Ash had something to do with this.
“I think he likes you. That’s why he gets red-faced all the time and is always hovering around us,” White explained.
“Him like me? No, that would be impossible,” Amy replied back. “He’s practically a superstar and has his pick of girls, including all those thin models.”
“The reason he’s following us is quite clear. Ash must have told him to follow us as some type of guard.”
“Right, but that doesn’t exactly explain why he blushes like that when he’s around you. I"ll tell you what, next time we meet him, I’ll ask him,” White said.
The two of them continued to move, and Amy started to think about White’s words, but in her mind, it was impossible for someone to like her in a city like this, filled with beauties, and with White by her side as well.
The two of them continued on, and it was practically in silence because there was a lot on Amy’s mind, and most of the time, she would be the one to start the conversation.
Although these days White had been a lot better. Just as they reached the gate, they saw the guard standing off to the side.
Amy then looked over her shoulder, trying to see if anyone was following them.
“You’re still very cautious. It’s like you’re a celebrity,” White smirked. “This place is heavily guarded because of how many celebrities are here. You don’t have to worry.”
“I know, but since my mom lives here as well, and besides, I was just a little paranoid earlier. It felt like someone was watching us.”
“You say that every day, and someone was watching you, remember,” White winked, and then with her hands made a heart shape.
Ignoring her, Amy went to show her face to a small black box by the side. The facial recognition identified her, and the door swung open.
As the two walked inside, the guard gave the two women a salute, and they walked in peacefully.
The apartment building itself, around the outside, was filled with different shops. A general convenience store, a hairdresser, a ma.s.sage place, and more.
It generally had everything one would need for those living in the apartment block itself. The outside area had a relatively large pathway.
It wasn’t long since the girls had gone in, and looking up at the high apartment building was none other than Raven, who was wearing his hood.
‘The girl who was with my brother at the time back then. I talked to her before, I don’t even remember what she said. I got my answer from the girls, and that’s what led me to the chase with Gary.’
‘I’m sure of it. He was the one that killed Hawk, that killed my brother… but now I’m living this life on the run… what… do I do?’
Right then, a hand was felt on Raven’s shoulder.
“Hey, did you think I didn’t notice you following them?” Tyson said.
