3183 Su Yu is a Crybaby 13
“What news?”
“Lu Yan already left Sydney.”
“What?” It was a big blow for Huo Mian.
“She left at 4 AM this morning.”
“Something happened?” Huo Mian looked worried.
“No. She just didn’t want to say goodbye to your face probably because she was afraid that she’d cry and make you cry, too… After all, you’re pregnant and it’s not good for you to cry so much.”
Lu Yan hadn’t wanted to tell them when she left.
But Qin Chu was sleepless and when he heard Lu Yan talk to his subordinates at the door, he walked out and found she was leaving.
After all, with her ident.i.ty, she couldn’t stay in one place for long for fear of drawing her enemies to her.
After careful consideration, she decided to leave despite her reluctance.
She didn’t want to tell Huo Mian until she was gone.
Hearing the news that Lu Yan had left, Huo Mian’s spirits plummeted instantly.
She was so melancholic that she wanted to cry.
“Honey, are you okay?” Qin Chu held her shoulders and soothed her gently.
“I’m fine.”
“Be a good girl and don’t cry. It’s not like you’ll never see her again.”
“But how could she do this to me? She can leave after having breakfast with me.” Huo Mian pouted.
“She won’t be able to have breakfast with us but she already paid for it. Doesn’t that show her sincerity?”
Qin Chu tried to make her laugh.
Then holding her hand, he led her to the restaurant which had been booked to provide services only to them.
Qin Chu called out to his subordinates and asked them to have breakfast with them.
Over a dozen chefs worked exclusively for them.
“Miss Huo, this is a nutritious congee specifically cooked for you to give more nutrients to your baby. Please try it. If you don’t like it, we can make some improvements on it.”
A chef handed her a stew bowl carefully.
Huo Mian tried it and found it very fresh; instantly, her mood was lifted.
“What did you put in it to make it so fresh and delicious?” Huo Mian asked.
“We brewed it with fresh lobster sh.e.l.ls for three hours to make the flavors blend into it. We made steamed dumplings with the lobster meat.”
“Thank you.”
“Don’t mention it. Your sister cares for you very much and left detailed instructions for us to take care of you. Miss Huo, please tell us what you want to eat; we’ll try our best to satisfy you so long as we can find the materials.”
“Okay.”
The head chef was very nice to her, which told Huo Mian that Yan had paid him a lot of money.
“Now I have good news and better news. Which do you want to hear first?” Qin Chu whispered at her ear.
“The good news first.”
“The good news is that I’ll take you out and do some sightseeing after breakfast.”
“Sightseeing?” Huo Mian was puzzled.
“This is your first time in Australia, right? Don’t you want to see some famous sights such as the Sydney Opera House, koalas, and kangaroos, etc.?”
“Well, now I feel as if I wasn’t kidnapped here but had come here for a seven-day tour in Australia.” Huo Mian chuckled.
“We can’t have a seven-day tour. The two kids are waiting eagerly for you at home. We’ll stay one more day here before going home.”
“Okay. I’m eager to see Pudding and Little Bean. So, Honey, what’s the better news?”
“Lu Yan made a video-recording for you before she left.”
Qin Chu took out a mini DV recorder before her.
“d.a.m.n it. Why didn’t you tell me earlier…” Huo Mian was thrilled at the surprise.
Happily, she dropped her spoon with a clank and picked up the DV recorder lovingly.
On the screen was Lu Yan’s unbelievably exquisite face.
