Chapter 10: Luring The Soul“Master, master!” The Barons voice sounded urgent in his ear.
This is while he was carelessly throwing things from his bag. Serpent’s fangs, tail of a mouse, cat ears. Benjamin looked up with an irritated look.
“Barrow!! What is it? Oh wait, I should try and relax. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to properly do this.” Ben said as he rubbed his eyebrows.
“We should finish this as soon as we can. If only by first light. There may be issues if we don’t.”
“I know, there is just one ingredient that I need now. The blood of a giant.”
Benjamin had the idea in his mind on how to create the perfect undead. It was completely memorized in his head. Of course, there were always things he could do differently if he wanted to. He loved innovation.
Many of the old practices will only damage the soul of an undead. For example the practice of simply scattering the ashes of a skull onto a body.
This will reanimate the body but it will have the intelligence of a 3 year old.
With a bit of skill, you can use the blood of a woman. It maybe taboo and you need a special curse for it to work.
But it will create the most n.o.ble and mysterious undead. A lich.
This is what Benjamin wants. Not just mere zombies but a high dead creature.
However, his attention went back to Frank’s/ body.
“The blood is clotting.” He touches his nose. The scent of blood may rush out the room if he doesn’t do this quickly.
“Now I just need a bit of that giants blood from Hagrid. Don’t be nervous Barrow. Nana, it is your turn!”
Benjamin grabs the small bat and strokes it along its back to convey his meaning.
Was he nervous? Of course. He knew that he wasn’t sure if he could fool Dumbledore. But he wouldn’t Kill him. A sweet innocent kid.
He knows about the minors protection act which would prevent that. Thank you wizard ministry for this little help.
Benjamin squatted down and felt Franks chest with his hand. His face revealed a smile at that point.
“At least the soul is still intact.”
After a person dies, the soul remains for about 6 hours. If a person uses the soul imprisonment spell, it will last a bit longer.
Half an hour later, a small vampire bat flew into his room triumphantly.
“Was it delicious? The blood of that giant. Is it the famous green blood of giants? ”
Benjamin Took out a small tube to extract the blood.
It was green.
“Good pet.” Benjamin praised Nana.
While the two of them looked over at Benjamin, he slowly started to pour the liquid into Frank’s mouth.
Barrow suggests an idea to Benjamin.
“My lord, maybe next time you can use needles to inject it into them. I heard about them from listening in professor Snape’s cla.s.sroom. I think they are called syringes.”
“Syringe? That sounds like some kind of precision instrument. I’ll try that. For now let us wait and see.”
He watched Franks body for a moment. It moved slightly and then stopped.
“Fail? No!” He threw giants blood vial onto the floor.
“Wait a minute. His eyes, oh I know. How could I possibly fail.”
Benjamin took out a knife from his pocket and carved a cross onto Franks body. It was positioned on his chest.
“Out of body!!”
From the tips of Benjamin’s fingers, a blue light could be seen flowing into Frank’s body.
Slowly, a white soul started latching onto the blue light. You could see it struggling slightly. As it struggled, you could see Benjamin’s face become ugly.
Nana started to fly around him. Seemingly, it appeared that the bat wanted to help him. But was stopped by Barrow.
“It is not quite that time. Most of the material we need can only be made using appropriate material taken from inside a soul. Then there is the soul pollution. This part is something only a necromancer can do.”
Nana seems to understand as she flew over and perched on the Barron’s shoulder.
“Stupid Frank! You need to learn to surrender!” Benjamin said while pulling out a bag of powder from his pocket and sprinkling it on the corpse.
“Solid spirit powder!” The b.l.o.o.d.y Baron exclaimed. He realized that his master started to weaken once again.
This is a relatively rare item in the world. While made from common materials, it is always in demand. It is made with dew gathered in the early morning, half a frogs egg, and dying tulips.
He gathered all of these items by helping out in the garden at home to his mother’s surprise.
After Frank’s body comes in contact with the solid spirit powder, a white mist starts to rise from him.
