Dabilosi: Albedo! We, or I at the very least, have no plans to leave. You may have mistaken Ainz" intent. It is unlikely that either of us will live for all eternity. Our deaths may be due to an anomalous being strong enough to contend with us, or it may be that we are by some miracle caught off-guard. However, no matter how our ends are met, it would bring us great joy to know that we were set to rest alongside our comrades. We continue on.
"I helped make these Avatara. Naturally they can"t be compared to the people they were modelled after, but after a certain number had left, it stopped being about what they looked like. However, I think we succeeded in our goal for the design of the area containing them. It has an air of gravity, and feels as if they"re watching over us. It would be good to know that a part of me was helping watch over Nazarick even after I"m gone, and that"s a sentiment I had even before coming to this world, but like everything else, it"s much more REAL now."
Momonga: We will be retrieving our World Items to equip the guardians with. IfDownfall of Castle and Countryis in this world, it is highly likely there are others. I did not do this before now as we did not plan on making any high profile actions, and Shalltear could not have been PK bait since Dabilosi confirmed who the perpetrators were, and s.h.i.+zu informed us of their return.
Dabilosi: So we"re really doing it huh?.. You know how I said I retrievedAtlas?
Momonga: Yes.
Dabilosi: I didn"t really tell you everything at the time.
Saying that I pull out 3 items and hold them in front of myself.
Momonga:Gungnir,Haidos KuneenandTlaltechutli... How did you get 4 world items in a week, when we took so long to get over 10?! Even now we don"t have too large a number of them.
Dabilosi: Hey,Haidos Kuneenhelped me a great deal with it"s perfect invisibility, andTlaltechutligrants the user a daily super-tier magic that doesn"t have an activation time or a global super-tier cooldown, so after that it was just a case of perfect movement, and not even the biggest guilds were safe. It would still be impossible were it not for the astounding lack of attention others were paying near the end.

…..
Only now do I notice that Albedo and Demiurge are just watching, practically struck dumb by the casual addition of three world items.
Demiurge: Ssasuga… The supreme beings truly cannot be fathomed. But I cannot help question this. Why grant us these items which are a symbol of the great works done by the supreme beings, when it has been proven that we can be reborn. We are still not certain whether this applies to the supreme beings yet, so please forgive my rudeness for suggesting that it would be better for you to wear them my lords.
Dabilosi: Perhaps it would. But can you not think of a single reason why we would be hesitant to send those our comrades poured their heart and soul into creating… Knowingly to their deaths?
Past the corridor through a pair of ornately-carved doors, a room entirely white, and seemingly endless is in front, with a ma.s.sive podium, which is perfectly black and seemingly melting into the white. I walk up and speak a few names, and upon recognition I collect the world items.
Demiurge: I… Thank you, Dabilosi-sama
Dabilosi: I don"t believe I said anything special, but you"re welcome nonetheless... We should head back soon.
Momonga: But before that, we must decide which guardian is best suited for each item. I believeBillion Bladesshould be given to Cocytus,Depiction of Nature and Societyto Aura,Avarice and Generosityto Mare,Hygeia"s Chaliceto Demiurge andRuinationshould be granted to Shalltear despite it"s original owner being Aureole Omega.
Dabilosi: That would work. Also, Aureole Omega could haveDownfall of Castle and Country. I believe Xygat to be the one who can useAtlasto it"s greatest capabilities,Gungnircould be wielded by either Xygat or Cocytus,Haidos Kuneencould be wielded by Pandora or Aura, and finallyTlatechutliis best suited for Demiurge and Pandora. Any thoughts?
Momonga: My only thought is that Pandora should be granted at least one world item. Other than that, we should allow Albedo and Demiurge to decide.
Albedo: Cocytus is the obvious choice for Gungnir. His multiple appendages would allow him to useBillion Bladesat mid-range andGungnirat close-range without losing any momentum. The increased attack speed ofGungnirwould also be especially efficient due to this.
Demiurge: That would not do. Xygat would benefit from the attack speed much more due to his immense strength and he currently does not have a divine rank weapon, let alone world cla.s.s. Meaning this would affect his actual strength much more. Moving on,Haidos Kuneenwill naturally be best suited in the hands of Pandora would you not agree? It would cause his already unpredictable attack patterns to become monstrously complex, because not only can he use any spell from any being he has "copied" to some effect, if he is truly invisible, there would be no way of discovering which form he has morphed into, and as such no method of predicting the course of the battle and adequately preparing.
Albedo: On the other hand, Aura is a ranger and beast tamer, which would mean that perfect invisibility would cause her capabilities in the field of ambus.h.i.+ng to skyrocket. Furthermore it would grant her further opportunities during battle to use her summoning capabilities. Given that she is a level 100, the difference in effectivity should be obvious.
Demiurge: I will concede on this point. However, you must concede in regards to Xygat.
Albedo: Very well.
Dabilosi: *Clap* *Clap* *Clap* Good! Brilliant, both of you.
Momonga: Great timing as well. That potion has two minutes remaining.
After pa.s.sing the void-gate, for a moment I was surprised to see that all the Guardians had remained behind, but thinking on it, they may have been worried about the consequences of leaving... I should fix that at some point. I also decided that bringing out the world items was a big occasion, so in the spirit of things, I equippedBillion Bladesand launched 20,000 small blades into the air, and firing a basic second tier [Flame Wave], they all were set alight, trailing flames as the flew. I used 16,000 to create 40 symbols in a ring around the treasury, and 4000 to create two image on the ceiling. My emblem, an inverted rune inscribed cross, and Momonga"s old emblem circling each other. All the blades have to be constantly moving in order to create the flaming images.
(Shalltear: What… Is this...
Aura: Oh-wow. This is amazing.
Mare: Un!
Xygat: En.
Cocytus: This Is. Magnificent… But. Where?
Shalltear: Above. They are still here.)
Once I have everyone"s attention, I remove the images from the ceiling and merge them, this time forming the symbol of Ainz Ooal Gown, with a circle of runes...o...b..ting it, seemingly forming a spiked barrier. By this time we have made our way to the other guardians, and Ainz taps the guild weapon on the floor twice.
Dabilosi: Do you like my little light show?
Saying that I recall all of the blades (carefully so I don"t stab some of the guardians in the back of the head or something) and unequip the item, before throwing it over to Cocytus.
Dabilosi: That"s for you to keep hold of. Use it only when you have to, and remember that it is very important to Nazarick and the Supreme beings.
"Wow… Calling yourself a supreme being really does sound a bit big-headed"
Momonga: We will be granting each of you at least one world item. Due to discussions between Albedo and Demiurge, Xygat and Aura will be granted two of these sacred objects. Do not consider yourselves unworthy, but do not be careless with them. This cannot be stressed enough.
Pandora: We hear and obey mein Führer!
Guardians: We hear and obey.
The delivery of the world items was swift, and afterwards we allowed them to return to their respective floors to better understand the uses of their world items. In this world, it doesn"t seem as simple as calling a name and expecting it to reach it"s full capabilities when it comes to world items. Which makes me wonder about the limit of strength in the New World, and if there are any beings out there which can use our strongest items to their full potential as we can with many of humanity"s.
Before anything else, I remembered that I had to repay Neuronist, so I dropped off a bunch of criminals unknowingly taken from their cells in the theocracy. I also gave Kyouhukou a number of corpses collected from various places since he was lamenting the cannibalism of his subjects. Giving Chacmool a few couldn"t have hurt either… The five worst may not be the strongest, but they are definitely not beings you should upset, since they could probably think of more ways to kill you each, than the rest of Nazarick combined. As long as they managed to capture you that is.
Now that all of that was sorted out, I could head to the Kingdom without… many, worries.
A kingdom in disrepair, and an empire in a rush to wipe it out with overwhelming strength… Seems like the perfect opportunity to become a "champion of humanity"... Haaah. How bothersome.
