"Erbao!" She called as she opened her eyes in shock, only to find out that all her previous fantasies were entirely a dream.
Gu Yizhou, however, did not hear it clearly as he was busy maneuvering the car into the underground parking lot. While she rubbed her still dazed eyes, Gu Yaunyuan discovered that the car was entering the parking lot. She softly asked: "Where is this place?"
She noticed that a blanket was covering her body. It was needless to say that it must have been her son who did it to her.
Gu Yizhou skillfully parked the car and opened the door on his side to get off. Gu Yuanyuan quickly followed him and also decided to get off the car. This underground parking lot had a lower temperature inside. That"s why, as soon as she got off the car, she s.h.i.+vered and sneezed loudly from the cold.
Gu Yizhou hesitated a little before he draped the blanket over her body and answered her. "I live here. Let"s go."
Gu Yuanyuan"s instantly brightened at his short reply. Erbao took her mother home!!!
She obediently followed behind Gu Yizhou and waited for the elevator.
Gu Yizhou was observing her when he saw the curiosity in her eyes as she looked at the elevator. It was like, she had never seen it before.
Noticing her unusual behavior, he couldn"t help but wonder about her suspicious ident.i.ty again.
He saw her body quivered unconsciously, and then, he frowned: "Are you cold?"
Although it was autumn now and the temperature in the parking lot had gone lower, it was not that cold to the point of quivering.
Gu Yuanyuan wanted to cry from the humiliation while she was sucking her snotty nose. She was too embarra.s.sed to say that the reason of it was because her body was too delicate.
She could only shake her head dejectedly to answer to his question.
A "ding" was heard when the elevator door opened. Inside, there was someone who"s occupying it. It was a young woman, together with her large dog. And covered with its long fur, the dog was actively sniffing around.
Upon seeing the appearance Gu Yizhou, the woman"s eyes directly flashed brighter, resembling a light bulb. Thus, in Gu Yuanyuan"s mind, it was filled with the images of a light bulb suddenly turning on.
"Dr. Gu, what a coincidence. You"re here! How come you"re early from leaving your work today? I haven"t seen you for several days." The woman was pleasantly surprised and deliberately leaning on Gu Yizhou on purpose.
Perhaps it was out of surprise, or perhaps it was something else, that the lease in her hand had suddenly gotten loose. Resulting in the dog to suddenly break free, finding its opportunity to run off.
However, the rope had not yet come off from her hands. And as a result, she was dragged along by the big dog while still wearing her high-heeled shoes. The woman could not keep her charming smile anymore as she was frantically struggling with her current crisis. Her shrill screams resounded the whole parking lot. "Zhou Zhou, stop! Stop running away! I told you to stop!!!"
Gu Yuanyuan: "…"
Unperturbed with the chaotic scene before him, Gu Yizhou walked towards the elevator, still wearing his expressionless face. He was about to enter when the large dog unexpectedly ran back. The woman, who was dragged by it, exhaustedly sat on the ground, feeling extremely drained.
While on the other hand, the large dog, with its sharp claws, aggressively rushed straight at Gu Yuanyuan.
Gu Yuanyuan: ???
She was apparently bewildered at the sudden a.s.sault.
s.h.i.+t! Dammit!
A trouble had befallen upon her!
(e/n: Let me clarify this line. The original of it was: " 狗从天降!" which translates: "a dog fell from the sky" ; it was a pun from the Chinese idiom:"祸从天降" which translates: "Woe fall from the sky" that means, "a calamity that descended from the heavens" or "a trouble came over" /me: T.T )
Gu Yizhou was fast with his steps and swiftly moved his body to blocked Gu Yuayuan behind him. He coldly ordered: "Stop!"
The dog named Zhou Zhou made a sudden brake and stopped, constantly wagging its tail at him, whereas its owner was sitting on the ground with her messy looks and disheveled hair. She was still in the state of shock when she felt her dog"s big fluffy tail, sweeping back and forth on her face.
What a miserable circ.u.mstance for a person to experience. As she looked at the woman"s situation, Gu Yuanyuan imaginary shook her head in her mind.
(e/n: The original line was "怎一个惨字了得。" that literally translates: "What a terrible word." Based on my research, it means: miserable, wretched, or tragic. It was another Chinese saying that came from the line of the poem "Slow Voice" by Li Qingzhao)
She could not resist the urged to shed tears of sympathy for the sister.
She just wanted to help and so, she started to make a move.
But, wait a minute…
What was the dog"s name again?
Zhou Zhou? What the h.e.l.l! Did she name that dog after Erbao? How dare she?
