Once the door disappeared, the auctioneer walked inside and stepped aside to make way for young master Feng to walk.

Jun Kai emerged slowly from the darkness. He was still the handsome young man, but there was seriousness in his att.i.tude tonight.

Meanwhile, the Xuan sat quietly as she waited for Jun Kai to be asked to sit in front of her.

The young master Feng took his seat and sat imposingly. However, after Jun Kai had been sitting for some minutes the Xuan leader was still quiet. The auctioneer had retreated somewhere and was nowhere to be seen. Strange.

A soft sound came from the Xuan leader, "Hmph."

Jun Kai"s eyebrows furrowed. What did the Xuan leader mean?

Jun Kai ah, now you are so serious hm? It seemed the only serious thing in this man"s life is his wife, such a loving husband he is, hmph. Mi Rong couldn"t help to express her thoughts on this young man. She knew the exact reason he was here for; not for any business reasons, but for her...

Then, some clicks came and appeared another person. It was the auctioneer. This time the auctioneer was holding a piece of paper and a brush and ink set that looked like it had come out from ancient times.

The auctioneer then laid the paper down neatly in front of the Xuan leader and the brush and ink set on the sides. The ink had been prepared and was ready for the leader to use.

After everything had been placed in front, the Xuan leader gracefully reached for the brush and began writing. Her movements looked like she had been used to using them for a long time. The leader made sharp and swift movements with her brush on the paper.

Once she finished writing, she halted her hands. The auctioneer stepped forth and spoke, "Greetings to you young master Feng. I am very delighted to have you here." The auctioneer had spoken every word on the paper.

The leader looked at Jun Kai while he listened to the auctioneer. However, Jun Kai"s focus was on the Xuan leader. His expression changed slightly when the leader did not speak. The Xuan leader then wrote some more, "I apologise for my shortcoming, but I cannot speak to you."

Jun Kai did not know which way to take the leader"s next sentence. She could not speak to him because she was unable to or because she did not want to? Nevertheless, he didn"t take it to heart and simply gave a nod.

"I congratulate you on winning the bid."

"Thank you," Jun Kai brushed it off, he didn"t care much for the item, but the favour. However, little did he know that they were all linked.

"Here is your winning prize. The Long Tian cuff sword." The leader then opened the box placed beside her for Jun Kai to see. The sword was somehow radiating with some sort of aura. Jun Kai could not be bothered with looking at the item much until the leader had pa.s.sed it to the middle of the table. That was when Jun Kai could see the delicate details on the sword. He was rather surprised.

"This is a sword from a very ancient time. Let me tell you something about this sword young master Jun Kai. Legend says there was another twin of this item. However, it had been lost for many years and people were unable to actually figure out how the other twin of this looked like, but there was something more about it. The twins could be used to call each other. The condition was that it needed a beauty to hold the spell. Once you find the beauty who holds the spell to call the twins; the pair of swords would be inseparable. The owners of the weapon will be pulled together no matter what part of the world they are in."

Jun Kai was still unresponsive. He was still unable to process the information.

"Young master Jun Kai, you may think what does all of this has got to do with you, am I right?"

"Yes," Jun Kai replied without thinking twice.

"Well, what is your favour I may ask."

This time Jun Kai became hesitant.

"Well?"

Slowly Jun Kai spoke, "Help me find the culprit who killed my wife." After saying what he wanted, Jun Kai felt relieved. It was like he had lifted a mountain away. However, there was some sorrowfulness in his voice.

It seemed it was still very painful for the young master Feng to forget his beloved wife.

The leader"s hand holding brush froze in the air. She seemed to be thinking about something before continuing to write. This time her brush strokes were slightly messier.

"Are you sure this is your favour you wish to ask for my help, young master Feng?"

Jun Kai firmly answered, "Yes."

How unexpected of you Jun Kai.

The Xuan leader placed her brush down and did not continue to write any longer. Her actions were confusing for both Jun Kai and the auctioneer. Instead of writing anymore, she reached her hand out for the teapot in middle and poured it in the two cups. Hot steam was still coming from the tea and the aroma spread around the room.

She then pa.s.sed the cup closer to Jun Kai and spoke herself, "Drink." Her voice was majestically low for a woman. It was not commanding, but a gentle tone. Very unique indeed.

Jun Kai was caught off guard when the leader had spoken herself, so was the auctioneer. Her voice felt somehow familiar, but he couldn"t remember from where. Nevertheless, Jun Kai was still hesitant to follow suit. His questioning nature kicked in and was alarmed whether the tea was good to drink or not.

However, the leader did not push any further and simply waited for the young master Feng to drink.

In the end, Jun Kai reached out his hand to the cup. There was nothing for him to lose, and the world had known that he had a meeting with the Xuan leader. If anything happened to him, then the blame will all be put on the Xuan group.

He raised the cup and drunk the tea in one short. The hot tea flowed smoothly in his throat. The temperature was just perfect, a very exquisite tea indeed.

The leader then took her brush up and began writing again. Her tea that was poured in her cup was left aside. Jun Kai did not think much about the tea any longer and was focused on the leader who was writing her words for the auctioneer. She had yet to give him an answer, thus he was antic.i.p.ating to hear what she had to say.

However, it did not take long before his eyes became drowsy. He couldn"t help but yawn. What was happening to him? Why did he feel so sleepy? Only then did Jun Kai finally realise something, the tea! She did not drink the tea, but only he did.

But it was too late, his eyes sluggishly blinked until his whole body leaned on the table and poof Jun Kai was asleep.

Mi Rong"s hand stopped writing for a second, before carrying on. She then spoke, "Thank you, Mr Jou for everything today. You really helped me a lot."

The auctioneer smiled warmly. There were no signs of the cunning middle-aged man, "It is not a big deal leader. This was only a portion that you have helped me, but what are you going to do with young master Feng, leader?"

"Him?" Mi Rong paused, "In ten minutes, can you tell Lin Cheng to come in and get his boss for me?"

"I sure will. I will take my leave then."

"Thank you."

Once the auctioneer left, it was only the two left.

Mi Rong did not take any glance at the sleeping Jun Kai, but was focused on finis.h.i.+ng her writing.

The room was peaceful with only the two inside the room. One was peacefully sleeping in his dreamland, while the other silently wrote swiftly but firmly with her brush.

It was like a scene from an ancient drama, but only there were no attached feelings.
