Poison of the Human Panacea
Chapter 10
Now that this little kid"s alluring bones were about to mature, was there another person who was closer and would be able to reap the benefits faster[1] than him?
He closed his eyes. However, in that moment, all that appeared in his mind were scenes where he restrained Bai Tan under him while dominating ruthlessly. An unbearable impatience boiled in his heart and he wanted nothing but to act on those thoughts; all the patience he had had initially, treating it as a cat and mouse game, was gone.
Yet, he had to approach this gradually, or a misplaced piece would cause him to lose the entire game.
How could he allow this kid to kill him again?
As he was thinking, his slender and pale hand was already slowly sliding to the back of the youth"s neck; his thumb was caressing his plump Adam"s apple and tracing his blood-stained lips. His lips were slightly parted, like petals of a flower awaiting its bloom. The demonic vines were wriggling, coiling themselves around the youth"s wondrous neck as though it was also urgently waiting to dive in to his mouth, just to taste the nectar.
The tip of a finger dashed past the parted lips and, just as it came in contact with those moist teeth, the youth gently opened his mouth a little wider, capturing the finger in his mouth. Then, like a baby drinking from his mother"s nipples, he started sucking at it greedily.
Wu Yanfu"s abdomen tightened as he imagined that what the soft tongue was curling around was not a finger but something else. A stream of heat flowed from his fingertips straight into the cold blood vessel, expanding them. He drew his finger back quickly, replacing it with his lips. The moment the tip of his tongue touched the youth"s lips, he felt a thump in his chest, like the frozen ground cracking and melting from the warmth.
Odd, why was there such a feeling…?
His back and abdominal muscles were pulled into a twist. He put all his strength into raising a hand and caught a bunch of wet hair in the water. The bunch of hair was densely tangled like fishing net. It was not known who it belonged to or who was being bound.
The three thousand emotions[2] were like the ocean, so who drowned in these three thousand emotions?
Demonic obstacle, he really was his demonic obstacle.
"Mmm…"
A soft object was probing his lips and teeth like a snake, trying to pry his clenched teeth open, reaching in to absorb something. The feeling of being invaded woke Bai Tan up and he muttered in discontent.
He looked over in a daze. Below him, the man"s white hair was messy. His pair of narrow blue eyes were clouded by a thick cloud and dense fog with lips that glistened with moisture. He was originally extremely handsome. If he smiled, he would be able to charm anyone and not lose, even when compared to the old devil. Bai Tan"s mind was muddled as he had just finished drinking blood and had actually become a little dazed while staring at him.
Hence, instead of flaring up, he reached over to touch the yao ren"s face. His eyes were widened and his eyelashes were dripping wet. Wu Yanfu tightened the hand that was on the back of his neck and moved closer to lick the drop of water that was dangling on his cheek, on the brink of falling. The tip of his tongue purposely brushed past the bite mark on his earlobe. Bai Tan shivered and his entire backbone was numbed like a cat that got scratched on his neck. He pushed the yao ren into the water, flew out of the bath, and sat down to regulate his breathing[3].
Wu Yanfu sank into the water and could not stop the corners of his lips from turning up.
It was like he was teasing a cat that would run away the moment its tail was grabbed and it was very interesting.
When the desire was extinguished, he opened his eyes and his vision fell on the yao ren in the bath.
The yao ren was hiding under the water, and his hair was floating on the surface, vaguely exposing the pair of clear blue eyes. His pale body wrapped in the demonic vines was glowing faintly and, in the fog circulated room, dimly lit by candles, at a glance, he resembled the merpeople who dragged people down into the water drowning them and who were said to be the incarnate of vengeful spirits.
Bai Tan touched the back of his neck as he felt some horror in his heart for some unknown reason. Immediately after, he mocked himself. It was strange that he would be a little afraid of a mere yao ren. Where were his guts[4]?
Translator"s notes:
[1]Refers to the saying, the pavilion closest to the water would be able to get the moon first. It means that the closest will also be the first to reap the benefit.
[2] This phrase literally translates to three thousand red dusts. It is used to refer to the mortal realm and the worldly concerns or desires.
[3] Check Pranayama for more details.
[4] The phrase means to succeed in life but because it was used in a sarcastic and mocking manner, it meant good for nothing.
