〰 Dylan 〰I groaned, feeling the weight in my eyes slowly lift when I looked around and noticed I was laying down on the bed. A familiar face hovered over my face, a large grin plastered on her face.
"You, the dark prince of the demons, taken by a "wee little witch." Hilarious." Pairs snickered before flickering her finger onto my hurting temple. "You, my dear brother, are dumb as f.u.c.k." She insults making me glared up at her and slowly sit up from the bed.
Cade searched for Khole"s scent but smelt nothing in the room making our spirits go down. I may not want her as a mate, but Cade was half of me so when he was upset I was as well.
"Please leave me be, Pairs. I am not in the mood for your insults and words." I growl, remembering how I ended up in this position. A slow smile rose on my face at Khole"s sudden ferocity and I was surprised that I was more attracted to her now that she has not only harmed me but knocked me unconscious.
She is a very interesting woman now...
"Are you moody because your mate hit you? Boohoo." She says in a baby voice and jumped away from me when I got out of bed. "See you later, big bro! Don"t get zapped with that electricity again or I"m not dragging you inside again." Pairs winks before left the room with an urgency that I didn"t understand.
Not that I cared.
I wanted to see the little wee woman right now.
"You can"t see her. Nava can tell if it is you or I speaking with her. Don"t forget we need to-"
"I am not following those stupid rules." I scoff, curious about what I"d find Khole doing right at the moment. A prince shouldn"t need permission to see what is his.
Yes...
I will claim this wee woman merely because her strength excited me. After I claim her, I will leave her and not have this mate bond affecting me.
Cade growled at my thoughts but I didn"t care at the moment. The wee witch"s smile was still implanted into my mind and I thought of dirty things I could do to her small little mouth.
There won"t be much time until the blood moon pa.s.ses and we need to have mated before then. Or else I"d take her by force and I knew that Cade would do nothing to stop that from happening.
Me on the other hand...
I will be selfish with the little witch and eat her alive.
Literally and figuratively.
I marched down the hallway, not caring that the others could hear me while I noticed a familiar wolf standing outside of the witch"s room. No doubt waiting for me to awaken and go to her.
"You know better, Dylan. Go away, my mate is in there right now with Khole." Zavier growls at me in a dangerous way as I was about to tell him to f.u.c.k off, someone ran up behind me.
"Wow, Cade! You must be so worried about Khole or else I"d keep up with you! Come on. Faye is just speaking with her about what happened earlier with Dylan. My Alpha, may we enter to consul Khole?" Nava asks breathlessly when she grabbed my arm in a tight squeeze.
Was this her way of saying shut up in front of her Alpha?
I remained quiet, not saying a word when Zavier narrowed his eyes into mine and stared at me for a long moment. He was challenging me and he knew that if I was in control I"d tackle him down, but I tamped down my inner urge to remain in power and continued staring back.
It was strong to remain still, but the thought of seeing Khole once again was stronger.
Strange but true.
"Fine. Keep your eye on him." He told Nava, letting us enter making both of us release a sigh in relief. We entered the room with a soft knock as I entered first and saw Faye sitting on the bed and Khole staring out the window.
The bandage around her eyes was removed, revealing the gorgeous purple orbs that watched us entered. She saw me, her tense muscles relaxing a bit making me noticed the awkward atmosphere.
"Nava. Cade. I-It"s nice to see you b-both." She"s back to stuttering once again, though the hard look in her eyes enticed me and give her a small smile and nod to her. It seemed like she was pleased by the silent acknowledgment.
That was before Nava opened her mouth.
"What are you both talking about?" Nava questions probably for me as I flashed her a thankful look.
"We were-"
"S-She wants me to see a s-seer." Khole cuts her off causing a frown to stretch on both ladies faces. She glanced over at me once again, her eyes trained on my head. "Are y-you alright-t? Th-There"s blood on your head." Her words didn"t register to me as I blinked at her beauty.
She was wearing a loose white shirt that went down to her slim hips, the baggy light washed jeans had tears in them. Her luscious pale skin was revealed and made Cade drool like a puppy, the purple in her eyes was a soft violet but turned darker with another emotion that I was unsure about.
Her soft natural blonde curls reached to the middle of her back and complimented her high cheekbones that looked as if she had the widest smile. Granted that she does.
I couldn"t help my gaze to drift to her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. They were smaller than Nava"s and Faye"s, however with the size and shape of her body. It was perfect and looked like I could juggle them if I wished too.
When I wished too...
Though there was one thing I was worried about.
I nodded to her question before glancing around for a writing pad and motioning to her where one would be. She seemed dazed for nearly a moment, raking her eyes over my face once again when walking to the desk and handing me what I needed.
I wrote down my question and held it back to her, the other women looking between each other in a strange way. Khole read the question, blushing before grabbing another pen and handing it back after she wrote down her answer.
I read her answer in disdain, not liking that she has not eaten at all today when I held up my finger and placed the note pad down and left the room. There was no way that I was going to allow her to not eat anymore today.
These people were truly savages, though I am not any better.
I hurried downstairs, noticing that Levi was making a pot of pasta for a few people. Without him noticing, I stole a bowl and hurried away before he could realize I took his food. I was halfway up the stairs when I heard him shriek in shock.
Thankfully he didn"t see it was me.
I walked past Zavier once again, a grin on my face as I shrugged into the room and presented the food to a bewildered Khole. Nava noticed the meal, laughing and going down to tell her mate of the kidnapping of his food.
Zavier came into the room making Khole tense drastically, not taking the meal from my hands quite yet. Faye seemed annoyed that I was there and disturbing the conversation but Zavier picked her up from the bed and nuzzled her neck.
"Come, Faye. We should leave them alone. Is this okay with you, Khole." He asks her as she jumped a little from the attention on her. I am suddenly grateful for his suggestion and Faye seems to protest, muttering out the conditions when Khole nods slowly.
He turned away, holding his mate and telling her that I wouldn"t harm her. I was happy for the first time in a long time, enjoying how they finally trusted me with the wee witch.
Not just that, but if I did harm her I was sure she"d attack me with her electricity again.
The thought made me shiver.
"Thank y-you." She shyly took the bowl from me and sighed, sitting down on the desk chair and mixed around the pasta. I turned away to give her some privacy and glanced around the room once again, noticing that the painting I picked up earlier against the wall once again.
What was it she was doing with that thing?
I shrugged off the question, walking over to it and placing it back on the hook on the wall. Cade was growing worried but once I felt her staring at me, all those worries went away.
I had a feeling that she was finally digesting that I wasn"t human or any other creature she"s ever seen because I noticed her eyeing my horns with curiosity. Normally the sight of them creeps people out but her interested expression has me pleased.
"Thank y-you for the food... D-Did you cook it-t?" She asks me, setting the bowl down when handing me the notepad. I smiled softly at her, taking it from her and scribbling down the truth before handing it back to her.
I noticed that she didn"t even eat the meal which was not satisfying in the least bit, but her small laugh distracted me for a moment.
She softly chuckled at the answer to her question and shaking her head at me. "Levi w-won"t be very happy you st-stole his meal," Khole says with a hint of amus.e.m.e.nt in her voice, the sound causing my smile to stretch on my face.
I took the notepad back from her, jumping onto the desk and sitting beside her and her bowl of unfinished food. Quickly, I wrote down my response and handed it back in hopes for another laugh.
"If you can cook-k better. Next t-time do the c-cooking, not the stealing." She teases, surprised at the words she used with me.
A prince.
Though I"ll let her slide for now...
I hate that I cannot speak without scaring her. It seemed that she is very comfortable with me not saying a word because she does not like Dylan and Dylan is the one who is rude and spits mean words.

Though I am pleased that she is comfortable with my presence rather than another man. It seems like she likes me the most from all the other males.
We stared at each other for a moment before she looked away with pinkness creeping up her cheeks. I smiled down at her again, loving that I had that effect on her.
Cade urged me to have her eat the bowl of food again as I grabbed the bowl and pressed it to her again. She stared down at it before looking at me with an unpleasant look.
"I-I don"t want t-to eat." She murmurs sadly, looking dreadfully hungry when I stared at the bowl, curious about what is wrong with it. I glanced back at her as she gnawed on her bottom lip, only this time it made me worry more.
I scribble on the notepad and held it up to her in question. She seemed to grow tense at my curious question as to why she wouldn"t want to eat, but shook her head and avoided eye contact with me and the food.
"It"s s-silly." She mumbles as I got off the desk and knelt down in front of her, writing down that I"d never laugh at her worries. And for once, it was true.
Her purple eyes suddenly seemed so... dead.
The sight not only hurt me but my entire existence. A feeling I"d never think I"d feel in my entire life.
"M-My mast-ter always th-thought it w-was fun t-to make me-e sick with f-food. S-Some days th-the food would be o-okay, b-but s-s-some days..." She stopped talking, looking away from me as a tear ran down her cheek. The sight was like a gunshot to my gut, but I refused to speak or touch her even if I wish to.
The worst part of all this was I knew exactly of her master, Andrew.
The Andrew I knew was kind and joyful so it was hard to understand why he"d do such a thing to her. Though by the look on her face told me it was indeed true, the thought angering me.
I took the bowl, lifting the fork of noddles to my mouth and eating a small bite before offering it to her. She looked at me as if I was crazy, but took it still.
Her purple orbs watched me closely as if waiting for something to happen but when nothing happened, she took a bite of the pasta nearly moaning in pleasure of eating. I felt my jeans tighten around me while she ate quickly like she"s never eaten before.
I couldn"t help but stare at her, pleased that she was eating now that I"ve taken a bite of the food for her. She was far too small to not eat another meal and I would happily repeat this process every time she ate as long as she actually digested some food.
It didn"t take her long to finish off the bowl of food when she placed the bowl on the desk with a furious blush at realizing I was still watching her. She was such a shy one yet not even hours prior she knocked me out unconscious.
"Are you going t-to do th-that every t-time I eat-t?" Khole asks me softly when I reached for the notepad and wrote down another question. She read it silently before gnawing on her lip once again. "Y-Yes. I would l-like you to d-do that every time I eat." She mumbled as I smile brightly and watched her yawn tiredly.
I wrote down and showed her my question about whether she wanted to rest now or for me to remain. She seemed to contemplate this answer but another yawn left her lips before smiling sheepishly at me.
Her smile made everything within me shut down.
"I think-k I should g-go to bed." She murmurs, standing up and walking over to the door while bringing her finger to her mouth. I quickly jumped off the ground and stopped her from piercing her finger again. "What-t?" Khole asks curiously when I motioned her to not to, reminding her of the lock on her door. "Oh... Right-t." She says clearly embarra.s.sed but happy that I didn"t laugh at her.
I walked back to the desk, grabbing her empty bowl and smiled down at her. She held the door open for me, giving me a sheepish smile while waving goodnight. I waved back, watching her close the door behind me as I clutched my racing heart.
What was I going to do...?
