"Huh?"

When she opened her eyes, the image of him didn"t disappear.

Lyn reached out and touched his face; she even experimented and pushed his cheeks up so he could make all sorts of expressions.

"I see your manners have vanished."

He wasn"t supposed to be here, yet she could feel him and hear him talking. She could see him, that arrogant face plastered on his handsome face. But even though Lyn could see him with her own two eyes,

"W---what? What," Lyn stammered. What was he doing here? What had he been doing this entire time?

There was so much she wanted to say so many things. Yet her mouth was refusing to work, "I"ve come for you," he let out a long sigh, "I waited," Allen repeated. Lyn blinked in confusion, " I waited a very long time, in that place."

"What are you talking about?"

Allen sighed, "Even if it"s you, you cannot leave me waiting for that long."

Lyn stared at the man in front of her like he had gone crazy, what has he been blabbing on and on about for the last few minutes?

"Right back at you. What kind of question is that?"

Her mind had finally recovered, and as she did, she found herself being rather mad, "You just blurted out that news out of nowhere, and then you started acting weird. And then before I could say anything before I could even react, you just walked off! You didn"t tell me anything, and your relatives weren"t helping, all I could do was misunderstand," Lyn exclaimed.

Lyn found herself exploding - all the feelings that she had kept bolt up, during the time period he was ignoring her, all of it came spilling out.

He told her nothing was going on between him and that woman. He even said it during that meal in front of her mother and his relatives. Yet, later on, she hears more and more rumors. Allen has never once treated her as a woman, but he"s always respected her as his fiance. He would not do something so brazen like "cheat" like most men do. He wouldn"t have multiple partners, and yet, all she"s been hearing from the soldiers are such rumors.

It all came pouring out.

Lyn didn"t intend to yell at him, but when the moment came to be honest, as usual, she couldn"t bring herself to do it. Whenever it came to this man, it was difficult for her to be honest.

"So, you missed me."

Lyn hated how bluntly he was saying it, it made her feel embarra.s.sed," I—I didn"t say, " but before Lyn could finish her sentence, he stopped her. Allen moved so quickly. Before she knew what was happening, he reached out and drew her close to him, "W—what are you doing?" This is something that idiot Rhys does with her whenever she ends up s.p.a.cing out. She never would have thought that Allen would do this to her.

"I think you know; you are my fiance. An elite always keeps his promises. I"ve told you this many times. I shall stand by your side, and help you no matter what."

Her eyes went wide at those words, that"s right. Allen has always rea.s.sured her that he is on her side, that he isn"t reporting to her parents. Lyn could never truly trust him, though, how could she? The engagement was set up by her family, the family who discarded her. How could she possibly believe that he was on her side? But once again, here he is repeating those words to her.

She did not know what to think. Her mind was a mess. However, Allen did not seem to notice her peril, "This time you will come with me. The war will begin soon, and I do not wish to involve you further in this fight," Allen said.

The war...

"Wait-wait hold on, this is all so sudden," Lyn exclaimed. Though Lyn knew she would eventually have to go to the Wind Kingdom and pay a visit because she would have to prepare herself to live there.

"That maybe so. But put yourself in my shoes. I have been waiting for this entire time, and I shall wait no longer,"

At that, she was speechless.

He"s completely hopeless; he won"t listen to reason at this stage. Once he"s made his mind up, he"s going to stick through it to the very end from the looks of it. Lyn took a deep breath, "I haven"t seen you in awhile, but it seems you haven"t changed at all," Really, he"s still the same, "You only think about yourself and you don"t listen to what other people have to say...and...." she trailed off when she saw his tender gaze.

This is the first time Allen has looked at her like this.

He then pulled her closer, "Perhaps your feelings are still confused and puzzled. But as long as you feel something for me, I will take my chances. Your hesitant feelings, I have known about them for a long time."

Lyn blushed, she didn"t know what to say. All she could do was nod dumbly, her feelings? Allen knew about them? So why did he not say a word until now? Isn"t it already too late?

Rhys, who had remained silent the whole time, could no longer take it and before Lyn knew it he lifted her off the ground, "Ah? Wait, Rhys!"

"Excuse me for a moment, Princess."

- Inn -

"Wait a moment, what do you think you"re doing?" the last thing Lyn expected was for him to throw her down on his bed and close the door behind him.

"I think you"re pus.h.i.+ng your luck with me."

"Wait. What?"

"I mean, you have to be doing this deliberately, messing around like this," Rhys muttered as he got on top of her, "You know I like you, and yet you flirt around with outsiders. What do you expect me to think?"

"For one, I am not yours, and two Allen isn"t an outsider," Lyn shot back. While there are times where she gets all weak and act like an idiot in front of Rhys, this isn"t one of those, "Unhand me right now."

Rhys, however, didn"t budge an inch, and she felt his gaze on hers. Before Rhys could do anything though, somebody shoved Rhys away and lifted her to her feet. Lyn"s eyes widened when she saw who it was. It was the person who had been missing for the last two days. There stood her boyfriend, Kazuya.

Lyn wasn"t quite sure what happened. One minute she was scolding Kazuya for neglecting to leave her his contact information the last time they met, and the next she found herself firmly in his warm embrace, his lips hovered over hers. She knew that she should probably be upset about this development. After all, the last time they saw each other was that time and while she did need time to think. Lyn didn"t think he would completely vanish for three days.

Once the initial surprise wore off, Lyn relaxed against him and melted into his stronghold. Her arms found their way to his shoulders as she embraced him back. Her lips parted briefly, which allowed him to prod her tongue with his, leading her in the kiss.
