Arthur almost spat out his drink when he hears Lyn"s words. What are a bunch of children doing? What"s more, this girl doesn"t understand what just happened. What is he supposed to tell her? She"s looking at him with those eyes that look as though she wants answers. He doesn"t know how to explain these things to a kid like Lyn. The best thing for him to do is find a roundabout explanation and tell her. Then he will go and find that kid named Rhys. It was hard to believe that a kid five years younger than him had such impure thoughts. Not, even he had such thoughts about girls. But what about that guy?

Arthur somehow came up with an explanation and sent Lyn back to her room. Arthur just walked around for a while in a daze murmuring how he was going to handle that brat when he spotted Prince Ralph in the corner.

"What seems to be the problem, Sir Arthur?"

Arthur had no choice but to explain what he just heard.

Prince Ralph chuckled, "Calm down, it was just a bit of childish flirting."

"Kids shouldn"t be flirting around anyway."

"You"re younger than me but have such traditional-sounding values."

"Prince Ralph, exactly what do you want?"

"Now, now..." Ralph smiled, "Aren"t you glad that I didn"t rat you out to the authorities? I"m even covering for you now."

"I know, I"m grateful. But why?"

"I don"t believe in those rumors. At least after getting to know you anyway."

Get to know? They"ve barely spoken.

Ralph looked towards Lyn"s room, "If you want a better explanation, it means that your good at taking care of kids."

"Uh, that means..."

"Somebody who treats somebody they just got to know sincerely cannot be a bad person," Ralph said with another chuckle. "Why do you look so troubled."

"I"m not good with kids."

"That"s what bothers you?"

Arthur was very troubled by this. People are getting the wrong impression it seems. But then again, it"s true that he treats that little girl differently. "How did I go from being a great general to this.."

"There is nothing wrong with it. If you were simply a great general and remained that way, I would have had no choice but to report you to Prince Andrew," Ralph"s gaze dimmed. "You"ll have to tell me your story when I come back."

"Where are you going?"

"I"ll be accompanying Prince Andrew to the front lines, Sir Arthur, you should stay here with the kids."

"Stay, but..."

"I made up an excuse for you two not to return to Junlan church for a while."

.....

Arthur found the kid named Rhys easily. He was waiting outside Lyn"s room and was walking back and forth. Arthur frowned, this kid — what is he thinking of doing now? Still, he recalled what Prince Ralph said earlier. Take care of them? Then again, anything could happen at this time. If he is accompanying Prince Andrew, that means the fighting will start up again. When that happens, everything will become chaotic again. He ought to finish up with everything and find a way to prove his innocence.

"What do you think you"re saying to a kid?" Arthur immediately questioned Rhys.

"Sir Arthur, you can"t blame me for making a move on her."

Making a move...where on earth did this brat learn such words?

"And why can"t I? I"m her guardian right now."

Rhys sighed, "Then Mr. Guardian, you should let the girl under your care fall into my arms."

"Brat," Arthur reached over and messed up Rhys hair. "I came here to teach you some manners. One of them being not to seduce a ten-year-old girl."Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"Should you be teaching me words like seduce Sir Arthur?"

He doesn"t have to say anything, this brat already knows what those words mean. Before Arthur could say anything else, though, the doors opened, revealing a sleepy-looking Lyn. "I heard noise...uhhh," Lyn looked like she was in a daze as she rubbed her eyelids. "Arthur?"

"Go back to sleep."

Lyn, however, turned and saw the child.

"Rhys?" Lyn mumbled. The girl immediately looked away.

"Don"t avoid me, I just want to explain..."

"I"m not avoiding it. I don"t know what to say," Lyn kept her head low.

Rhys wrapped his arms around the girl. "Leave this to me. I"ll make sure you"re not afraid. I"m serious about what I said. You will soon realize that."

"Rhys.."

Arthur coughed, "Ahem. , since it"s like this, I"ll supervise your relations.h.i.+p." Gosh this brat, can"t he keep his hands of Lyn for a second?

"Supervise?"

Rhys eyes twitched in annoyance, "Old man, just stay away. I know what I"m doing."

"You don"t, you"ll scare her away before long."

Soft laughter escaped the woman"s lips, "Um, I don"t know what"s going on. But it seems like you two get along."

"What?" Arthur looked at Lyn dumbfounded. How on earth does she come up with such ridiculous conclusions? "Let go of her already, kid."

"Arthur, but I"m comfortable."

"Stupid girl, don"t be so naive."

"You heard her old man."

...

Once Lyn was fast asleep, Arthur didn"t hesitate to voice out his thoughts.

"You"re from the Sound Kingdom, aren"t you?"

"And you"re from the rain. You"re the man on the run."

Arthur sighs, "Your way too sharp for a child," he trailed off. "What is someone from the Sound Kingdom doing here taking lessons from Prince Ralph of all people?"

"It"s a long story. But I"m sure you know about Prince Ralph being quite the eccentric man. He was traveling, and I helped save his life. He said in exchange would take me here and teach me for a while."

"I see," Arthur nodded. "So, why did you accept? The sound kingdom isn"t lacking resources, right?"

"Indeed, we don"t lack resources. But Prince Ralph has quite a reputation. I"d be a fool not to take it...What about you? Why do the rumors say you took a group of soldiers and started a rebellion?"

Arthur sighed, "Somebody is plotting against me."

"Somebody?"

"Well," Arthur trailed off. He recalled what he told Prince Ralph earlier. "I made a few enemies amongst the Rain Kingdom"s main family. The third Prince has quite the grudge against me. Before I set out for my mission, there was quite the quarrel."

"Why am I even telling this to a child..."

Rhys, however, didn"t mark a remark, "So, you think it"s him?"

"Yeah, there are no other people."

"Sir Arthur, I can help you get out of your predicament. But you"ll have to help me with Lyn."

At that comment, Arthur sighed loudly and flopped his body onto the couch. "Kid, are you actually serious? You just met her the other day, think about it. Her eldest brother is so scary..."

"Her eldest brother?"

"She"s related to Prince Andrew. I didn"t know Queen Orthez had another daughter - but Lyn does resemble her."

When Arthur first met Lyn, the girl reminded him of somebody, but at the time, he couldn"t think of it clearly. The reason why he could confirm that Lyn was indeed related to Prince Andrew was because the girl resembled Queen Orthez. Because of that, he could tell. If that was the case, though, Arthur wondered why he didn"t keep his distance from her.
