Allen didn"t respond. He still doesn"t understand Princess Lethia very well. Is there any need for her to act this way? He understands squabble among siblings - he has his own too. It"s not like everybody has to get along. But, they should at least treat one another with respect. From the very moment Allen met Princess Lethia, he knew right away the girl didn"t respect Lyn. When they first met at the engagement banquet, Princess Lethia insulted her sister right in front of him. She purposely spoke loud so his relatives could hear too.He remembered how messy that situation was. Most of his relatives ignored it. Why would they listen to the First Princess words? She not only arrived late to the party, but she purposely dressed extravagantly on her sister"s big day. She was already breaking a lot of rules in their book.
That"s right; he would eventually. Because her intelligence far surpa.s.ses his own and the current leaders. Despite them being foolish gossiping adults, most of the time. Even they must have noticed it.
"Is it merely a grudge?" Allen asked.
Because if that"s how it is, then he personally would have a word with her. While Princess Lethia has a lot of power, Allen could still suppress her. The marriage between Lyn and him is valuable to the Mist Kingdom. That First Princess won"t risk offending him. Last time he tried to speak with her, though, she lashed out on him, which is concerning. However, Allen didn"t overthink it.
"It"s still difficult to say. The jealousy between girls is indeed something frightening. However, she won"t be able to go near Lyn right now, who is still in the middle of trying to regain control of her powers unless she wishes to die. Well, if she is as foolish as the rumors say, then she may just go ahead and but the control of her household will certainly fall in her hands before long," he trails off. "Still, I wonder what Princess Lethia intends to do by using foreign aid."
"To cause a disturbance within the Mist Kingdom. A disturbance only she can fix," Allen sighed. "She needs the trust of the people."
"The trust of the people?"
"Indeed, the trust of the people. Right now, the people side with Lyn. Those who don"t know her ident.i.ty speculate a lot of reasons why Queen Orthez hid her away for so long. Many expect a lot from her; that"s why the upcoming party is important," Allen nodded. "And yet at the same time, there are many who are spreading negative things about her."
"Then, I shall give you a piece of advice."
"Advice?" Allen repeated.
"It isn"t advice, more like something you should have done from the start. Reveal the truth to everyone. Personally announce your engagement, without Lyn hiding her face. Hold another banquet, make it large scale, and spend a lot of money on it."
"So, it"s time?"
"You shouldn"t have let it get to this. Some people may say that you"re trying to save face by doing this now. But it"s better than nothing. Start the preparations immediately. I"ll also lend you a hand."
Allen nodded.

Now then his gaze landed on the store in her vision. How should he go about this? Just entering wouldn"t be flashy enough, but calling out to her also seemed unsightly too when Hibiki suggested making this a grand event. The first person he thought to consult was the girl"s guard.
When he said he would sort out the matter with his own hands, he meant that he would do it immediately. After all the longer they delay things, the more likely things will fall apart.
Kazuya and Lyn seemed to have sorted things out then too. The reason he went away instead of insisting on staying over because he didn"t want to ruin things for them.
He was in a hurry to get back. So in Kazuya"s eyes, there is only Lyn after all. Although he was furious when he heard about the fiancée matter. What bothered him the most was how he secretly met with her.
Surprisingly, when he confronted Lyn, she hid nothing.
"Kazuya told me, " I, even now, am serious about you. You"ll probably have to deal with me and my selfishness. I"ll probably make you cry even more. But I love only you. I can sell my body to as many women I want. But you"re the only one who has my heart. That"s why turn around already. I didn"t get a good look at your face just now with the others here. Let me see you, Lyn. I"ve missed you so much."
Naive, anybody can say those words. Anybody can say such sweet words. His fiancée knows that.
Yet, Allen recalled what Lyn took out to prove how serious she was. The family symbol, the earring that you give to your partner when your married or engaged. Although she cannot wear it due to her engagement with him, the fact that Kazuya gave it to her must mean that he"s serious.
How odd, suddenly he supporting Kazuya. No, that"s not it; it"s not as though he"s supporting him, but he is curious what kind of ending this will have.
There was a certain time where it looked everything would go one way, and that his role as an observer was no longer needed. A time period where you could go along with the flow. But even that time was " false," Lyn from the very start has been a complicated person.
Allen understood that all too well, but he would never have expected, just how many things Lyn hid from him.
He didn"t understand how complex her thoughts were, and the amount of pain she went through. His gaze fell on the shop in front of him. Allen heard rumors that Pupillam escaped her captors but the girl did not return to the castle, instead the girl went home instead. Why did she stay home?
