She longed to see any shade of color. Anything, it didn"t matter what color - as long as she could see something that wasn"t white. The color white made her feel so empty, so alone. It brought back memories of that timeLyn"s gaze fell on her hair and deeply sighed. This hair color in the Mist Kingdom stood out a great deal, but over here it was meaningless amongst all the black and white. Lyn tried to focus on the pendant Kazuya gave her. It was the only thing that had color - only thing amongst her belongings that she could keep. Her eyes drifted towards Rhys brown eyes. It was dark, and yet there was something about it that stood out in contrast to the rest.
She was slowly going crazy, and yet the reason why she was still sane is most likely because of Rhys. Like herself, he wore white garments. But, Lyn reached over and caressed his cheeks. His eyes still stood out to her; they were the same shade as Kazuya"s eyes and not the brightest color. But it was far better than seeing all this white.
"What"s wrong? Are you not feeling well?" Rhys asked. His tone was oddly kind.
"I think. I"m becoming crazy Rhys, and the mark hurts so much," Lyn referred to her curse mark. Every single night, no even during the day the mark would give of a faint glow followed by a stinging day. During certain times the glow would increase, and the pain that followed afterward would be far too horrible.
Just as she said that Lyn saw a familiar glow through her white dress. Wearing clothes with no color meant
"Rhys...I.."
"d.a.m.n," Rhys cursed, "Lyn, you don"t have to worry. I won"t let anything bad happen to you."
....
Lyn wakes up to a shocking sight, no it reminded her of that time. Rhys lips are on hers. Lyn understood that this method was the best way to dispel the pain. Physical contact with somebody who uses dark magic. But it didn"t make it any better. Kazuya would be mad if he found out. She should explain it to him properly when they see each other.
"Nngh," Lyn murmured, "Rhys, enough..."
Isn"t he just taking advantage of the moment?
"No."
What is he doing? Why is her body burning up so much just with a single touch? This man is like a beast, his hands glide over her body so gently and yet you can"t mistaken the l.u.s.t and pa.s.sion in his eyes and his touches that burn representing his desire.
"Lyn? Hey, you"re making quite the face, even though I"m the one who jumped you. Are you possibly getting into it?"
Her response came out as a m.u.f.fled sound as he placed his fingers inside her mouth. She kicked him, but Rhys only laughed, "You really are beautiful."
The doors slammed open, and somebody familiar entered, "You two," Leo deeply sighed, "Take that elsewhere!"
Since that time for some reason, Leo drops by. During the first day, he was casually following her around before he apologized.
"I know you"re jealous, but..."
Lyn punched Rhys in the gut, and he yelped in pain, "Lyn, why are you so violent?"
"Thank you for helping me, but," Lyn averted her gaze, "I"m not yours remember?"Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
At that comment, Rhys gaze darkened. He looked hurt, but Lyn understood him well by now
Rhys may have feelings for her, but he would not do anything drastic until she consented, until they were truly together. It must be hard for him to like her since it means competing with his best friend. Lyn reached over and gently caressed his cheeks, "Weren"t you going to take me on a walk? Can we still go?"
"Yeah."
Leo sighed, "You two, don"t just ignore me."
"Oh sorry," Lyn apologized.
"What do you want?"
"I"m just surprised that you two aren"t asking about the King. The Princess"s here status may differ from other royals. But that does not mean she should be treated any less."
"Don"t mind it, I"m used to it," Lyn explained even when people find out about her existence. Even when she is introduced to others, it ends up the same way. That"s why like this it"s okay.
"You shouldn"t be. Your blood is far n.o.bler than anybody else in your family."
What is that supposed to mean?
"Anyway, are you hungry? I brought you a meal."
Rhys eyes twitch in annoyance, "Quit trying to get on her good side with food."
"Weren"t you doing the same?"
Lyn ignored then, and focused on the food before her. She needed to think, what is her next course of action? Lyn kept quiet the last three days. But she has been keeping an eye out on everything. The Snow Kingdom people are hiding something, and they keep dodging the subject regarding the King. Lyn figured that something was wrong. Maybe the King is sick? That"s the only reasonable explanation of why the First Knight is taking charge of everything. But even then Lyn couldn"t be sure at all.
" Even if I died, in the next life I"ll definitely meet with you again. And if I am reincarnated before you, then I"ll wait patiently until you are reincarnated even if it takes centuries/decades. I will find you again. And if we are reincarnated in completely different places, I"ll look all over you until I find you. It seems selfish that only I will remember my memories of my past life, but even if you don"t recall it. I"ll remind you. For our future together I"ll remind you. Even if you were to choose someone else, I"ll still stay by your side and watch over you. That"s why Lyn, live."
Lyn paused as she recalled those words.
Kazuya"s words…she only just remembered them recently. But now she understood it. The reason why even though she seemed so lifeless for so many years, the reason she kept on living. The reason why she stayed alive. Even though he was the one that gave her that reason.
Even though that was the case, for some reason…. "She forgot?" Lyn thought. Her memories, after the case of two years ago, has been very blurry.
But even then Lyn didn"t think she forgot anything significant. It seems like that"s wrong. She knows Kazuya; she met him a long time ago. Those were the memories she really wanted.
