Lu Zhishan got off in front of the gate of the palace . Song Fu quickly walked up to hold him, but Lu Zhishan just waved and refused . Song Fu could do nothing but walk away, holding the umbrella in his hand .

Lu Zhishan tried to walk normally . It was snowing heavily and the falling snowflakes were just like small pieces of white jades . It was the first snow of the year . So many young n.o.ble ladies and gentlemen were enjoying the scenery and reciting poems . In contrast to them, Lu Zhishan had no mood to do so now . Sweats had covered his back when he arrived at the Peace Palace . He finally stopped and took several breaths . Zhao Ruhai was the chief eunuch of royal study and he began serving Lu Mingwei when he was small . He watched Lu Zhishan grow up and also watched Lu Zhishan become the least favoured Marquess Ning from the blue-eyed eldest son .

The hot heart of Lu Zhishan cooled down in a sudden . He took one look to the soft yellow window of the royal study and slowly dropped to his knees .

Zhao Ruhai gazed at Lu Zhishan as if he wanted to say something . But he gave no words in the end . He waved his horsetail whisk, turned around and went back to the main hall .

It was after one hour had past that someone came out from the royal study . But the person was not Lu Mingwei but Empress Xu . As soon as she got out of the door, her maid opened an umbrella to shelter her from the heavy snow .

Empress Xu slightly pulled her dark fox fur coat and slowly walked to Lu Zhishan . She stared at the young prince whose body was covered with snow, eyes filled with sorrow . She took out her handkerchief and wiped the snow off his forehead . Then she knitted and said in a low voice, “Why are you so wayward? You even didn’t attend the banquet on empress dowager’s birthday and only sent one servant to present the gift for you . Do you think it’s proper enough? You are the eldest grandson of empress dowager and you are in capital city this year . How could you be so wayward at such an age?”

“Your father was furious and he even wanted to descend your position . I begged him for you so you just need to kneel here for only an hour . Don’t complain about your father . It’s your fault this time . ”

“Sure . Empress, I know it now . ” Lu Zhishan kowtowed deeply and added, “Thanks so much for your favour . ”

“That’s all right . It is time to go back now . Tell your servant to make a bowl of ginger soup for you . It is so cold . Take good care of yourself and don’t be ill . ”

“I want to apologized to my father in person,” said Lu Zhishan in a low voice .

Empress Xu frowned saying, “You father is pretty mad today . Now he has fallen asleep . I know you are always filial, so don’t go to annoy him at this moment . By the way, you have been kneeling here for one hour . Would he let you kneel for such a long time if he really wants to see you?”

Lu Zhishan supported himself by placing his hands on the ground and tried hard to stand up . As he limped a few steps, the thirty nine stairs nearly killed him . He really felt that he would fall down to the ground if he took one more step . But he finally gritted his teeth and endured it . It was after he walked to the gate and found Song Fu running towards him that he closed his eyes and fell down .
