Chapter 1213: You are good. Have played this before?
It had never come across Pei Ge’s mind that the game these people had come up with would be so realistic.
It was realistic enough for one to feel a sense of danger.
At least, she felt an unprecedented danger when she followed Mu Heng and the others into the lush forest.
She finally understood why the private lodge could host a game of hunting.
It was simply because there was a forest here, and it was rather dense.
“Regina, follow me closely later; don’t get lost.”
The playboy in camo reminded her as he gripped the paintball gun in his hands tightly.
She did not take his words to heart.
Believing that people could only depend on themselves, she did not intend to rely on this playboy.
However, seeing that he was more familiar with this place’s terrain, she did not go solo.
“Speaking of which, you look good in that camo!”
He quickly reverted to his usual self and started teasing her.
She rolled her eyes at that.
“Shh! I saw something!”
He was about to speak more, but she suddenly signaled to be quiet.
“…”
Her words stunned him into quieting down. Listening for sounds and looking for movements in their surroundings, he then shook his head at the woman.
“There’s nothing here; you must be—”
Before he could finish speaking, she pushed him to the ground.
“Careful!”
Bang! The two fell to ground, just as the place where he was standing earlier was sprayed with paint.
“The h.e.l.l?!”
Before he could relish in her embrace, the paintball caused him to be shocked.
“Sh*t! Who did it?! Why are you being all sneaky?! If you dare—”
He picked himself up and looked warily at his surroundings, but he did not see anything aside from the bushes.
Watching his witless antics, she rolled her eyes exasperatedly.
She was actually with someone this reliable; she was really…
Unable to go on watching, she opened her mouth to interrupt him.
“That’s enough; stop making a ruckus. You’re not going to get anything out of it. You’re just going to get shot.”
She pulled him to hide behind a nearby tree.
“That person is probably toying with you since he’s a little bored.”
Mu Heng was amused by how Pei Ge calmly a.n.a.lyzed everything.
“You’re good! You seem rather familiar with this game! Where exactly are you from? Have you played this before?”
“Yes, I have.”
She answered truthfully while observing her surroundings.
She was not unfamiliar with war games like this, and the reason was simple. She had a client who liked playing wargames when she had just started working on Wall Street.
Thus, in order to get the deal, she had to play quite a number of war games with him.
“I’m guessing that you’ve more than played it before! You appear to be more familiar with this than I am, and that’s with me not being new to this.”
He looked at her with admiration, but the latter merely rolled her eyes at him.
“He he! That’s because you’re too weak.” She told him bluntly.
Thinking about it now, this unreliable man said earlier that he would protect her!
Oh, please! Look at who’s protecting whom now!
If not for the fact that the loser would get punished, she would rather get shot and leave this pointless game.
The man was unbothered by her mocking. He just blinked as he looked at the surrounding bushes.
“Where do you think the person who shot me is hiding? I can’t seem to find him.”
“He’s either behind or on that tree,” she replied casually, pointing to a direction.
“Come on! It’s just a game—on that tree? That’s too much!”
Stunned by her words, his eyes widened, and he looked up at the tree.
“Yes. Climbing a tree is kinda tough for you guys.”
Seeing that he had actually looked up to check, she was amused.
To her previous client, attacking from atop a tree was normal.
Why would these young masters, who were playing this game for fun, climb trees, though?
“Ah. You’re messing with me.”
He paused when he saw the smile on her face and then broke into a silly smile.
Perhaps their relaxed stance had infuriated the one ambus.h.i.+ng them as the shooter, who had been silently watching them, suddenly fired a shot again.
Bang!
A blue paintball burst next to Mu Heng.
“D*mn! Who is it?! Do you have something against me?! Why are you always targeting me?!”
He got upset when a splash of color appeared next to him.
“Don’t keep hiding! Let’s fight it out!”
“Hey, your two o’clock!”
Pei Ge told the man in the middle of raising her paintball gun.
“Ah? What two o’clock?”
Mu Heng was confused by her word choice.
“The h.e.l.l?!”
She swore, which was something she rarely did.
Why are these people playing war games if they don’t even know such stuff?! What hunter game?!
Ignoring him, she casually shot in the two-o’clock direction.
Bang! A red paintball exploded on the tree trunk.
The man finally figured out where she was pointing when he saw the red paint.
“Ah! You’re talking about that spot?”
Finally pinpointing the enemy’s location, he got excited.
“Heh! I’ll have you now!”
As he spoke, he ran toward that direction.
“Mu Heng, come back!”
