Chapter 2558: Sell It on the Black Market
Alviss nodded. “We can, but we’d have to sell it on the black market. This s.p.a.ceship is stolen, after all.”
That wasn’t a bad thing.
Ning Shu wrote down some things that she didn’t understand about the s.p.a.ceship’s operating process and showed them to Alviss. One by one, Alviss answered Ning Shu’s questions.
In addition to learning about the s.p.a.ceship, Ning Shu was also cultivating Unsurpa.s.sable Martial Arts. Her body had already absorbed a little spiritual energy, but it had all been used to heal her body from the damage that it had suffered.
Every once in a while, Alviss would give Ning Shu some nutrient solution to better her health.
These nutrient solutions had all been stored on the s.p.a.cecraft.
Alviss told Ning Shu that this s.p.a.ceship was a very expensive one to build. It was big and contained a lot of nutrient solutions and food. It seemed that there was a lot of influential power backing up the operation of this ship.
Ning Shu recalled the five-pointed star badge she had taken from Jayce. “Could they be from a sort of military force?”
“That military emblem doesn’t represent anything. The interstellar federation may issue it to a powerful interstellar hunter and allow them to enjoy certain rights they wouldn’t get otherwise,” Alviss said. “The different powers in this interstellar s.p.a.ce are all intertwined. It is complicated, and we have to be careful since this s.p.a.ceship is very conspicuous.”
“Got it.”
Danger was waiting for them in every corner of the interstellar s.p.a.ce.
Soon, they finally encountered a planet. It was the first planet that they encountered since they first left Sehlde. They looked at the planet from a distance. It exuded an earthy yellow hue.
“Attention, all Sehlde people on this s.p.a.ceship. This s.p.a.ceship is now running low on energy,” Alviss announced. “There is a planet ahead of us. You need to disembark there. If you do not wish to disembark, you can choose to stay on this s.p.a.ceship, but we cannot guarantee whether we will have enough energy to reach the next planet.”
His voice spread to every corner of the s.p.a.ceship. When they heard what Alviss said, many people decided that they wanted to get off the s.p.a.ceship. After all, they had already left Sehlde. Even if the planet they were arriving at was not great, it certainly couldn’t be worse than Sehlde.
The s.p.a.ceship hovered in the sky above the planet. It lowered a huge ladder, with which many people got off the s.p.a.ceship. However, some people remained and did not leave the s.p.a.ceship.
When no more people were getting off the s.p.a.ceship, the s.p.a.ceship put away its ladder and flew away in a flash.
Since the s.p.a.ceship was now carrying a lot fewer people, it now consumed less energy. Alviss had also turned off some energy-wasting functions.
These measures were enough to ensure that the s.p.a.ceship had enough energy to continue flying.
Alviss’ expression was now much more relaxed. There was not much food left on the s.p.a.ceship. The sheer amount of people they had brought with them on the s.p.a.ceship meant that their daily food consumption was simply incalculable.
Moreover, all of these people ate, drank, urinated, and defecated on the s.p.a.ceship. This put a heavy burden on the s.p.a.ceship.
Alviss wanted to use this s.p.a.ceship to reach Planet Omega. He wanted to find his old mentor, whom he respected a lot.
Ning Shu’s daily routine now consisted of studying and cultivating.
Alviss pa.s.sed his days by operating the s.p.a.ceship and telling stories to Vivian.
Meanwhile, Vivian’s brother and his gang maintained order in the s.p.a.ceship.
Probably because of Ning Shu’s suggestion, Alviss would always pick a particularly sad and tragic love story to tell Vivian nowadays.
He particularly picked those that were poignantly sorrowful and twisted.
Every time, Vivian would become dumbfounded and she would be moved to the point of tears.
Alviss would just quietly hand her tissues.
Ning Shu sometimes ran into this kind of scene. Sometimes, she’d even see Alviss smiling ever so subtly.
Ning Shu: …
