Rebellious Consort: Profligate Elder Miss

Chapter 2: The Devil"s Island

Chapter 2: The Devil"s Island

When Little Qingcheng woke up, she realized that she was already on a plane. The cabin was filled with hundreds of children, some were dressed well, some were still clinging onto their toys and a few others were bawling like babies, they were looking for their parents.

The children had different races, different economic backgrounds. There was an equal mix of boys and girls, the oldest appearing to be only 11 or 12 years old. The youngest out of the bunch appeared to be younger than herself.

Little Qingcheng didn"t cry, nor did she shout.

She was well aware of the fact that she had been sold away to a human peddler and as compared to the other children on the plane, she was extremely calm and composed.

But that was only how she behaved on the outside, her insides were totally stirred up. Everything seared into her mind, she had been sold away!

Though she wasn"t that likable and didn"t have much of an amicable relationship with everyone at the orphanage, she still had some feelings for them. She had already thought it through, no matter how they treated her, she would make sure to repay their kindness for raising her up!

But why did they choose to sell her away?!

The plane was flying for about two hours when suddenly a man in his mid thirties appeared. He was clad in army camouflage and his muscles were bulky, he threw a bag inside the cabin and said, "This is your last dinner, enjoy it while it lasts, little b.a.s.t.a.r.d children."

There were two men dressed in the same uniform behind him, they started to distribute the food. Every child was ent.i.tled to one meat floss bun.

"What the h.e.l.l is this, is this even for humans to eat?" A girl wearing an exquisite lace dress scornfully said as she flung the bun away.

Once the bun fell onto the ground, a few children actually pounced over in order to s.n.a.t.c.h it.

Once the starving children started to fight for the food that they saw, pandemonium broke out as the numbers grew. The people distributing the food decided to just throw the buns in the crowd and moved aside, watching the children fight between themselves.

Little Qingcheng managed to stay out of the fight thanks to her previous ordeal, since she had fainted earlier on, she was placed beside the emergency doors. It was because of that, she had gained priority access to the buns and she hurriedly finished it in a few bites. She then managed to find a good spot to hide, a triangular corner between the cabin and the emergency doors and wasn"t implicated in the fight happening between the children.

She watched as the fight got even more intense between the children, she didn"t know what was going to happen next, but it sure wasn"t going to be anything good. What mattered most was that she had to contain herself from moving unnecessarily, she needed to keep her energy levels for better use.

Little Qingcheng continued observing the fight as she relaxed the tension in her body. She had to keep track of whatever was happening outside carefully, so that she would not get implicated.

A few hours later.

The plane landed on an island and many more who were dressed in army camouflage uniform appeared to chase them off the plane.

Many of the children were unwilling to budge, they refused to get down the plane since they weren"t willing to face the uncertainties outside. A man just lifted one of the girls and he whipped out a gun, aiming it at the girl"s head and bang!

The girl"s pupils dilated with horror, her body collapsed in an instant.

Little Qingcheng didn"t know if he did it on purpose, but the girl"s eyes were wide open, looking right in her direction, even if she had hidden in an unnoticeable corner.

She died with a lingering grievance.

Little Qingcheng couldn"t help but her heart thumped, she took two steps backwards till there wasn"t any s.p.a.ce left.

Her hands were balled into two fists, she knew who the girl was. She was the bratty child who flung the bun away.

Little Qingcheng had a.s.sumed that no matter how disobedient they were, the worst punishment for them would only be tougher ch.o.r.es a.s.signed to them. But now, she knew, the consequence of being disobedient was far worse, you would be killed in an instant, with no deliberation.
