Rebirth Of A Star

Chapter 5

On the way back to the hotel, she saw the joy on some people"s faces and the sorrow on some others". People had already packed their luggage and went in front of the hotel to wait for a taxi to go back to the airport.

The art school"s exam wasn"t as simple as it seemed, yet wasn"t as difficult as they had feared. The teachers there liked to see a good spirit, a fresh face, a natural performance, and respect for the art.

The next step was to prepare for the second exam. She heard that some public idols would stand as judges.

Susu recalled the face of the teacher who has asked her questions. Although, she wasn"t that young, she had an unspeakable temperament and charm. Only after she scoured the Internet did she know that the teacher was called Ms. Cao Yun Fang, an old artist and a famous international dancer. No wonder that even while sitting, her figure and posture weren"t like the average person"s.

She heard that the second test would be more difficult.

Susu would never dare to slack off.

Before she started to prepare, she called her mother to inform her about the situation, and then decided to chat with her friends on the Internet. Her much caring and conscious friends urged her to go and prepare.

Jiang Ying Ran offered, “If you pa.s.s the exam, we will go for a “drink”, and if you fail, wait till you come back.”

Yao Yu Ting was more gentle, she merely stated, “If you pa.s.s, you won"t have to come back.”

She was surprised at the fact that she was feeling more nervous than she was before the first exam. However, Susu still felt warm and more engaged in the preparation, not only for the sake of “drinking”, but for the sight of Ran Ran spending a lot of money, where there would draw forth an unspeakable satisfaction.

The time for second test came in a blink of an eye.

Susu wore a white shirt, a black skirt, and a small bow tie around her neck. In spring, the weather in Beijing wasn"t hot, which was why she needed a navy blue coat and a scarf.

In front of the mirror, she sprayed her favorite Anna Sui perfume. The faint smell was lovely. She smiled while staring at her appearance, then went out.

When she stepped inside the elevator, she saw the arrogant girl from last time. She only slightly smiled at her.

The girl reached out and pressed the first floor"s b.u.t.ton, holding her chest.

“You are going for the exam?”

“M-hm,” Susu heard the words and showed a brilliant smile.

“My name is Qin Jian Shu, like Qin Shi Huang"s Qin*, Jian as taking care of children and women, Shu as in reading books.”

The girl was stunned by Susu"s smile before she admired it. “You have a beautiful smile.”

Beautiful was a good description for it.

Susu was embarra.s.sed, she blamed it on the pervert tone.

“My name is Yu Susu.”

“Ding-” they arrived on the first floor.

That brought an end to the brief conversation in the elevator.

Qin Jian Shu?

The person appeared lovely, and her name sounded nice, but she was bad-tempered and arrogant.

They both walked out of the hotel together.

Susu apologized and said, “I"m going to buy something. You go first, maybe we can meet in the examination hall.”

Qin Jian Shu nodded and went first. Susu took the opportunity to get away from Qin Jian Shu and buy a quick sip.

She held the hot milk tea in her hand, and took a sip. It warmed her body in this kind of weather. She squinted her eyes and looked at the sky. It was actually a little gloomy.

Don"t steal the show too much, but don"t let others steal the show as well.

This world was too stressful, watch out for the first opportunity that you may have.

The second exam was about picking a novel to recite. Susu chose “Luka town”. That essay was found by Susu on the internet, it told the story of a small town girl and a rich family.

The writing style was tranquil and calm, and there was a kind of beauty that was born.

“But my heart isn"t calm, with him, some of the worst things in my heart will go wild, such as jealousy, or such as inferiority, I can"t balance them,” her recitation was very emotional. That was what she truly felt. When she first saw that part, she was very touched.

Don"t blame love and be excessively pa.s.sionate.

If she knew the truth that, “It was better to forget the river and lake when they were in touch with each other”, she would still be the gentle and n.o.ble Jade Phoenix in Master Qin"s heart forever.

She recited gently and softly, and it was fine as water flowing, as if she really came from the ancient town (Luka Town) with the mist and rain. She was telling her story about blue-stone slabs, blue print skirts and Holland lilac bracelets.

Susu was calm, as calm as the story, she had pa.s.sed. The jade phoenix had pa.s.sed. It was a peaceful reincarnation.

“When the train left, my tears fell…” With the last word clearly spoken, the judge"s eyes turned red.

“Thank you for your wonderful performance, Yu Susu.” Today"s judges were Zhang Jing Chu, Liu Yun and Jia Yiping. It was just the two women judges who almost cried.

“Thank you, teacher,” Susu bowed.

“Are you going to start the second scene? Or should we take a rest?” Zhang Jingchu asked.

“It doesn"t matter. It"s all right to start now.” Susu swallowed her saliva to calm down the feelings she had when she recited.

*Qin Shi Huang (Chinese: 秦始皇; literally: ‘First Emperor of Qin",18 February 259 BC - 10 September 210 BC) was the founder of the Qin dynasty and was the first emperor of a unified China. He was born Ying Zheng (嬴政) or Zhao Zheng (趙政), a prince of the state of Qin.
