Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 100

"Wow! how did you do that?" Camilla stared at Viper"s figure curiously and asked while Helena covered Camilla"s mouth with her finger in worry.

"As expected of a former a.s.sa.s.sin, I didn"t expect anything less from you, mister Viper." With an understanding nod, Abium said with a chuckle.

"Cut the c.r.a.p, that Viper name died years ago. The one who is standing in front of you is just a broken man, nothing more."

"Ahem. So, Sir, would you mind taking that blade away?" Abium continued to spoke in a calm tone that made Viper"s lips twitch. Next instant, the blade disperse into the shadow, and slowly, the room temperature went back to normal.

"Now, tell me how did a newly t.i.tled baron got to know about me? I thought I erased all my traces when leaving from the Holy See." Viper asked with a suspicious glare.

"Haha Don"t worry. I am not from Holy See, but I heard about you from someone I know." He spoke then he took out a small low tier healing potion bottle. Abium purchased it from the light church when he planned to visit this man.

Viper"s original name was Aldis. A cold-blooded a.s.sa.s.sin once shook the whole southern continent but now hiding in an unknown rural town from the light church. The reason Holy See still hunted him was he a.s.sa.s.sinated the Bishop of the light church in their city. Although he got severely wounded in return, he somehow escaped and staying in this remote town.

Well, Holy See council members are still searching for him, and some even thought he already died due to that severe wound.

Because of the wound on Viper"s body, now he couldn"t even be able to fight. He had no money for the cure, nor do any friends step forward to help him because they were afraid of opposing the church. Viper glanced at that bottle, then gave a cold snort and replied.

"Young Baron, do you think this low-level healing potion would solve my problem?" Well, this low-level potion would only slow down the would from killing him, but that was Abium wanted.

"It would slow down the would from killing you. And Helena will be the one who would heal your wound in the future." Abium reply as he pointed his finger towards Helena. Everyone, even including Helena, became startled by his sudden words.

"What are you talking about?" Helena asked while looking at him in puzzlement.

"Can you cast that new spell on him that you have been practicing earlier?" Abium asked while pointing his right hand towards Viper.

"Okay." Helena nodded. Quickly she placed her hand in front of Viper"s chest, and next instant, a dim green light came out from her palm then vanished into Viper"s body. Even though It was just a low nature spell but that made that old man"s eyes to open wide.

"Nature spell!" He muttered in shock. Viper had heard many times about these nature spells. Only those who were loved by nature qualified even to become a druid. Although it was just a simple spell, it made him stunned inside. Abium knew these nature spells would be enough to heal this old man"s wound in the future.

If it still didn"t work, then I will have to search for that the cure near to the royal capital ruin or buy it later from the auction. Abium almost forgot about that and noted it in his mind.

In the past, Abium met Viper five years after the arrival of chaos era. At that time, Viper was already on the verge of the death door, and after that, he got killed by an unknown high priest who came here coincidentally.

"What do you want from me, kid?"

Viper"s voice awoke him from those thoughts, and soon, Abium sighed helplessly at this stubborn man"s gaze and said.

"I need you to work for me."

"Kid, if Holy See found out I am still alive and working for you, then a great catastrophe would fall on your territory." Viper turned his expression serious and spoke.

But Abium simply waved his hand and replied.

"They won"t mingle with our business for the next few months. Moreover, what I need is a person like you."

Moreover, I need someone to protect my territory when I"m away. I am also planning to return to the capital soon once I settled everything. Abium muttered to himself.

Without minding the Viper"s stubbornness, Abium stared back into that man"s scarlet eyes.

The hall became dead silent for the next few seconds.

After a long time, Viper starting to speak with some little hesitation.

"Kid, I will tell you honestly. I have some deep hatred with Archbishop Rafe and his lackeys. What I always want is revenge. For that, I need to build an a.s.sa.s.sin organization. If you want me to work for you, then you have to promise me that you will help me create this organization. As for killing that guy, I will do it on my own."

Once Viper finished his words, Abium and others went dumbfounded.

Did this guy hit his head hard somewhere? That was the thought that appeared inside everyone"s mind.

Even Abium wouldn"t have any guts to say that out loud. But he soon thought it might be possible once the chaos era started. Once the chaos era begins, the light church and other churches" followers would lose their connection with their G.o.ds.

That would make light followers to lose most of their strength. Then they wouldn"t be even able to cast any divine spells at all. Their only strength to fight against were light spells.

I didn"t expect this old man to seek revenge. Abium sighed heavily.

"Okay! I will try my best to fulfill your wish, old man. But you have to protect my territory when I"m not there."

"Hmm, that"s okay. I"ll come along with you then." Viper said with a break-up laugh.

Soon, Abium and others went to their room after a short exchange, leaving Kuran, Viper, and Leeta alone in the hall.

"So, why a dwarf tagging along with an elf?" Viper quickly shifted his gaze towards Kuran and asked in a deep voice. He couldn"t believe himself when he saw that strange combination.

Fairy, dwarf, elf, humans and a druid. Where the h.e.l.l did these guys are up? His head was starting to ache when thinking.

"Haha, I will tell you if you gimme some of that red spiced wine," Kuran said with a husky tone.

Viper let out a fake sigh and asked her daughter to gave a bottle. With a nod, Leeta brought out a wine bottle from the shelf and gave it to Kuran.

"This elf is different from those peace-loving freaks. Also, did you see that elf"s hair and eye color?" He grabbed the wine bottle near to that table and started to speak.

"Yeah, I noticed when you all entered inside the Inn. I heard only royal family household members have that golden color. Won"t those household members come after him?"

Kuran poured the Red spiced wine to the gla.s.s, then took a gulp and said with a chuckle.

"I don"t think so. A week before, Abium looked almost like a half-elf, but now his appearance changed completely."

"Oh? Are you saying he didn"t face any shackles?" Viper"s eyebrows arched up as he straightened his body and asked curiously.

Dwarf nodded his head and began to explain to Viper what he knew from the beginning. They both started to drunk like buddies, and Viper got some information about this elf and got deeply startled inside.

An elf with a divine"s blessing? Or did he have any artifact? But wherever he is going, trouble seems to be following after him. He muttered inwardly as he shifted his gaze towards the hooded figure who was coming towards his Inn. He could tell with outer appearance, that figure was a man but couldn"t able to clearly see his face. As he was about to warn dwarf, he saw Kuran had already gone to his dreamland and sighed.

"One room, please!" That hooded figure arrived near to the reception desk and spoke in a quiet tone while giving a gold coin to Leeta with his pale smooth hand. The next instant, Viper"s expression froze. He saw a tattoo of three serrated leaves pointing outward appeared at the back of that hooded figure"s hand. Soon, he noticed that the figure"s face was also entirely covered by a white mask, which made Viper hard to identify who he was.

A northerner? He instantly hid back his nervousness and started to observe his actions closely. After a few seconds, that hooded guy didn"t say anything and went directly to his booked room, leaving Viper alone in puzzlement.

Is he came after that elf? A thought came to his mind.

Should I warn them? No, maybe he is just a pa.s.serby. With another sigh, Viper sat down on the wooden chair while starting to drink the remaining spiced wine.

Soon, the sun went to the west and slowly started to hide while the darkness took over.

In the Alastall woodlands southern side.

A group of bandits walking like a zombie with a vigilant look on their faces was moving towards pirate town. Behind that group followed was fatty Rudie, who was now carrying Aliza, whose hands and legs now were tied up. Her loud, angry sounds could be heard from time to time made others head to hurt.

Everyone walked hastily because of the darkness already enveloped the surroundings. Only dense trees, thorns, and poisonous wines appeared in their visions.

Hiss!

Suddenly, a large 5-meter poisonous hybrid snake leaped towards Keith"s face from the redwood tree branch.

Slash!

Without minding that measly attack from that creature, Keith simply imbued his sword with some mana and slashed.

Clang!

A surprised expression appeared on his face but soon attacked with an intermediate sword aura and cut its head.

Thud!

"Nolan. Take this Virien; I think we can sell it to when we reach the pirate town for a high price." Keith said to a muscular guy and walked forwards while that Nolan went near that snake and carried it on his shoulder.

"Haha, Nolan, we are even now," Rudie commented from behind.

"Shut up, Rudie. Also, tell miss Aliza to shut her mouth; my ears are going to tear."

But it was no use; she keeps struggling and moved her tied hands and legs regularly. From time to time, she would try to speak something but met with a venomous glare from Rudie.

"Don"t be persistent, Miss Aliza. All I"m doing is following orders from my boss." He grinned while revealing the yellow teeth.

Grrrrr!

An angry gritting sound came from her mouth but soon died down.

"Rudie, don"t fall behind. Some goblins might be still lurking in these woods." Keith shouted from the front while other bandits also nodded with approval.

"Yes, brother Rudie. Never let any goblin to get near to her; if she died her, then all our hardship will be wasted." A young scarlet haired bandit said with a grim expression.

"Got it, Edsel." Rudie nodded his head and ran after them while panting heavily.

Soon, a yellow light visible up ahead from inside those dense tree leaves caused others to halt.

"We have almost reached the Pirate town guys," Keith shouted without hiding his excitement in his tone.

"Yeah!" "Haha, we are gonna be rich." "Let"s go quick."

Everyone soon walked out from the woods and noticed a wooden fence encircled that town, and two ruffian looking men stood there on the watch. As the group walked out from the woods, both of them grabbed their swords and looked at them with suspicion.

"Who are you, people? What business do you have here in our town?" A muscular guy on the left with an imperial mustache asked in an arrogant tone.

"Hey! my friend. We came here to meet the captain of the Drake pirates." Rudie walked forward with his fat belly and said haughtily.

"Dream on! Do you want to meet our captain? Then you must prove your strength to me." That muscular guy glared at Rudie.

"Rylan, don"t jump into fighting without asking for their purpose. They don"t seem to have any ill intentions towards us." The lean guy who wore a black eye patch said, then soon, his eyes landed on that tied up Aliza.

"Ugh, okay, I understood, Hook. Come in. You can meet him once our captain came back from the mission." Rylan noticed Hook"s meaning and quickly opened that sizeable wooden gate. The group entered from the north gate, and the road heads through a poor quarter and into the traders" area.

An empty street, but fairly straight. The tavern was on the right next to the livery yard, and the town square was a few hundred yards further in. The main buildings were on the far south side of the town square.

Most of the buildings were built red brick and wood. Inside that town, you could see multiple houses and many shops like smith shops, carpenters, rope makers, and shops for fishing materials.

It looks more like a normal coastal town than a pirate town. The main reason for this was the captain of Drake pirates and Black skull pirates allied together and controlling this town.

These two pirate groups were very famous all over the nearby southern sea and devil sea. You could also see many slaves working inside the shops and helping the pirates to carry the luggage from their ships.

"It seems this is your first time coming to this pirate town," Rylan looked at Rudie and asked.

"Boss. So, where are we going to stay for tonight?" Rudie gave a goofy smile and asked Keith instead of responding to Rylan"s question. He also noticed there were a few brothels on their way, and his eyes were wandering everywhere.

Although he liked to taste this girl who already tied on his shoulder, he restrained himself.

Without her, we won"t get a single amount of gold coin. Rudie grumbled inside and soon saw two to three inns on their right side.

"You can stay anywhere in those inns as long as you pay the right amount." Hook answered Rudie"s question and pointed towards the right side where those wooden buildings were located. Soon, the bandit group separated from those two gatekeepers and entered an inn.

A fat Inn lady glanced at them with a curious look and welcomed them.

After Keith booked rooms for all of them, he asked Rudie to pick up Aliza and lock her inside one of the closed rooms. Although the innkeeper lady asked him to lock her up in the dungeon prison cells located near to that town square, Keith shook that idea.

We are not in an ordinary town. Keith"s eyes urged Rudie to do his work and soon shifted to outside. Now all he had to do was to wait for the Drake pirates to come back from their mission.

Once they come back, I will quickly sell her to them.

As for how they would get the bounty amount from the light church? That was not his problem.

All I want is my share to that bounty, and I can live my whole life peacefully.

With 500 white gold coins, he could be easily able to buy a large two-storied house in Dewsummit city, or he could just move to other kingdoms like Wadel kingdom or keris kingdom. As for his lackeys, he didn"t plan to give them a single white gold from that amount.

Once I went out of this town with all the money, I will just kill everyone. Keith gave a cold look towards those foolish morons who always started dreaming about how to spend the money and snorted inside.

Meanwhile, Rudie walked towards the isolated room located on the southern corner and quickly unlocked it with an old rusty iron key.

Creak! Click!

The door opened, and soon, specks of dust flew from the ground and bed due to the breeze.

Cough! Cough!

The dust instantly entered his nose and made him cough violently.

"f.u.c.k!" He cursed out loud while wiping the tears from his eyes using his left eye and threw Aliza towards the old bed.

"This room is completely locked. So, don"t waste your futile attempt to escape and stay here quietly got it?" Rudie walked near to her and slowly removed the bandage on her mouth.

"I will never forgive you." As she started to shout, he sealed her lips with his hands and once again covered her mouth with a new bandage.

"Don"t be offended, miss Aliza. I don"t have any choice but to follow my boss"s orders." He said then grabbed the golden bracelet on her hand.

"I will also be going to take your family heirloom miss." He removed that bracelet from her hand and walked out of the house, leaving that tied Aliza alone in the room. Only tears and moaning sounding could be coming out from her mouth as she grieved.

That b.a.s.t.a.r.d! She felt disgusted at that Rudie and gritted her teeth in anger and shame.

I am going to rip every one of you to shreds. Aliza now knew what these guys were planning.
