Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 107

"Teacher Zivior? Did he already started to probe about this organization?" Abium creased his brows and fell into deep thought.

"Regrettable. But if we want to achieve our goal, then we must sacrifice something." Rilos said with a grim tone and soon shifted his gaze towards Abium then asked.

"Did you get any scripts of Lord Novak"s diary?"

"Yes, teacher. Here." Abium nodded and quickly took out those two scripts then pa.s.ses it to him.

From what Abium heard from the real Baxter"s soul, it appears this Order of dead members had long started collecting these mysterious scripts, and someone from this organization was the one who ordered everyone to collect those.

"There must be some secret hiding within those texts other than Bidora empire"s history. The one who is collecting these mystic scrips must have found out about that, and it seems he/she is trying to find more." Abium made an a.s.sumption and noticed Rilos was already glanced at those two scripts then put it inside his spatial ring.

"From his facial expression, it seems he also clueless about the old abyssal language. Hmm, that Red Python organization members might be able to read these Novak"s scripts. But why did Novak wrote his diary in the Abyssal language instead of common? How did he even learn this language in the first place?" Abium felt there were so many mysteries surrounding this Novak.

"You all have a mission. Except Baxter and Yozis, all of you will be infiltrating the royal castle and join the Grand n.o.bles" gathering. Your job is to create chaos those in the Grand n.o.ble"s gathering and escape from there. Don"t worry, Yalya will be the one who is going to accompany you guys this time." As he finished his words, a middle-aged lady figure arrived from behind that throne-like chair while surprising everyone. Even Abium got startled as he didn"t notice her presence at all.

"Heh, it"s the same lady who plans to control my mind outside the royal castle during the royal incident." Abium instantly identified her as he noticed her gray frizzy hair and pitch-black eyes. She had thin eyebrows and wore the same black robe like Rilos while giving off a dangerous vibe to everyone.

"What about us, Teacher?" Yozis asked with a confused tone while Abium furrowed his brows.

"You both will be accompanying me to the main mission. I can"t explain to you anymore about that mission now because it has to be kept under much secretive." Rilos said, then turned his gaze towards others and continued. "If anyone of you wants to withdraw from this mission, it"s your time now."

"Secretive mission? But why only me and Yozis? Something"s wrong! Did he already aware of my disguise? Impossible!" Multiple thoughts appeared in Abium"s mind, but soon he turned his expression to normal and shifted his gaze towards Rilos.

As noticing no one was backing away, Rilos gave a proud smile and started asking towards frizzy gray-haired Yalya.

"Yalya, did you find out about which mage will be in charge of protecting the n.o.bles and Royal family during that gathering?"

"I heard it would be Rune Mage Ubius. I can take care of him if he is alone, but if that Alchemist mage Zivior or Dark arts mage Cole hides in the gathering, it will be a problem for me." Yalya said with a hint of annoyance. At the same time, an average young looking guy with short blonde hair stood up and spoke.

"Humph, I overheard from master Idus that someone already vaguely said to Mage Ubius that necromancers are planning to make chaos during the gathering." There was a hint of arrogance in his voice that made everyone frown. But n.o.body moved for a few seconds, because they were all puzzled by that news. Meanwhile, Abium suddenly felt the voice was so familiar and became more curious about this young guy.

From his speech, he appears to be an academic mage. Abium instantly sent minute spiritual energy towards that guy and probed further.

"He only has the spiritual power of apprentice necromancer! What is he doing here? Wait a minute! Is he a mage?!" A thought struck like lightning, and Abium instantly guessed.

"But why do I feel like I have heard this voice much time before?" Abium creased his eyebrows, and soon he cast that thought away.

"The main problem is this guy. He is a spy of the Order of the dead and appears he just recently joined the academy." Abium frowned while glancing at others.

"Do you know who?" Rilos asked with a frown. Because Rilos knew they didn"t reveal their ident.i.ties to any of them and didn"t cause much trouble.

But suddenly, Rilos"s eyes squinted as he gave a sharp look and spoke in frustration.

"It must be because of your father"s and that Bilet"s foolishness. I told Bilet multiple times not to go after that elf, but here we are. Because of that d.a.m.n elf killing Bilet, Lord Nezad also came back from the dead before the right time came."

"Eh? Are they talking about me? Wait a minute! Is that guy Viscount Gauvain"s son Robert?" Abium drew a long breath and understood the situation.

"It seems I already pretty much f.u.c.ked up their plans." Abium was startled a little and soon grinned inwardly.

"So, did any of you guys find out about that elf"s origin?" Rilos asked with a frown.

"I met with him in the magic tower once. At that time, he was just a half-elf, and I thought of making my lackey. But after that, only I knew he is an enemy who caused big trouble in our territory from my father." As Robert finished his words, Rilos fell into deep thoughts.

"Hmm, from Bilet"s reports, I noticed that that elf didn"t face shackles and seems to be very proficient in sword skills. Hmm, I also heard from Viscount that he is very close to the crown prince."

"It seems the royal family wants to keep him so secretively. Well, even if they nurture other mages like him from unknown origin, their curse won"t go that easily." Rilos muttered out loud while some of the necromancers and including Abium became puzzled.

"Curse?" Yozis also became confused when hearing this and asked hurriedly.

"It"s a curse given by the last emperor of that Bidora empire," Rilos said and still noticed the puzzlement on all of their faces, he chuckled and spoke.

"In one of the Novak"s diary pages, mage Novak mentioned that Royal family members were cursed. For some unknown reasons, the last emperor cursed the Peral kingdom"s Royal family and the other four families. Haven"t you all wondered why there are no mages from the royal family? Yes, it was because of the last emperor"s curse."

Meanwhile, Abium and everyone got stunned.

"Heh, so that"s the reason prince Raollet chose to work with druids. Hmm, but how come their family still ruling the kingdom?" Abium felt both shocked and puzzled.

"Let"s talk about that history another time. Now, I heard the crown prince Huggin sent those invitations to all the n.o.bles, including Margrave Eliot, Duke Adhemar, and Duke Louvel. Possibly everyone will attend that gathering, and Lord Shade told me Holy see members will also come. Also, he told me not to cause any trouble with them." Once Rilos said those words, Yalya, who sat on the front row, suddenly frowned deeply and asked while creasing her thin eyebrows.

"Teacher wants us you cooperate with Holy See members?" She couldn"t believe what nonsense she had heard just now.

"Yes, It appears he had made some agreement with them. Even I was surprised when I heard this from his mouth. Well, it"s likely temporary." Rilos said with a serious tone.

Meanwhile, Abium"s whole body tensed up as he heard those.

"What are they plotting? Should they have cast their attention on those hidden seals, right? Moreover, the Holy church allying with the Order of the dead makes no sense at all." Abium narrowed his eyes deeper as many thoughts crossed through his mind.

"That"s all. From now on, act on your own without exposing your ident.i.ty inside the capital. You all can go back now." Rilos said while signaling Yozis and Abium (Baxter) to wait. Once everyone except Yalya went outside, Rilos shifted his gaze towards Abium and spoke.

"Both of you meet me outside of the Royal castle on 28th March morning at 8 A.M." He paused for a second as his gazed landed on the emerald-colored gem embedded on Abium"s neck and continued, "Baxter, I might need your pendant on that day. Don"t worry, if it got damaged, I would try to get you another artifact."

Abium nodded with a cold look on his face and started asking a few questions about those scripts. He knew original Baxter was more curious about those scripts, and that was the reason Rilos chose him to collect those scripts from different families.

"Teacher, What about that curse? Is there a no cure for that last emperor"s curse?" Abium asked in a deep voice.

"No idea. Lord Shade didn"t explain to me in detail, and he just told me a few normal things." Rilos simply shakes his head and replied. Meanwhile, Yalya lazily leaned on the wall a few meters away from them and looking towards their direction. Unknown to Abium, she stared at him deeply and felt something was off. She had seen the same body movement before and felt puzzled. Moreover, Yalya felt this Baxtor was slightly acting abnormally and even posing questions to Rilos like he was forcing himself.

"Am I over-thinking again?" She soon shakes her head and shifted her gaze towards outside light, then fell into deep thought. Meanwhile, after a short exchange, Abium and Yozis bit farewell to Rilos and walked out of that underground market. Yozis didn"t say anything and simply followed his footsteps. It was already dark outside, and a few street lights were lit on the sides gave a dim glow to the surroundings.

As both walked out of the Tupac lane, Azolla"s solemn voice echoed inside Abium"s mind.

"Kid, I think that lady noticed something was odd about you."

"What?! Did she found out about me? How?" Abium was startled inside and asked hurriedly.

"I heard these types when I"m in the star tower. They call it woman"s intuition." Her words made him almost fell on the ground.

"Do you believe that myth?" Abium asked with a bitter smile on his face.

"It"s their normal habit, kid. Women are basically good at reading facial expressions and emotions than men." Azolla chuckled and responded.

"So, during the next meeting, she will definitely check me using some artifact, right?" Abium frowned under his mask as he soon noticed both him and Yozis reached the main street of Commoners" Borough.

"Well, first find a way to dump him somewhere. Or just use that soul bind spell on him stealthily and kill him." Azolla suggested.

"Nah, I already risked my life and almost made everyone believe that I"m the real Baxter. I won"t back away now. Although that necromancer woman is a problem, I will not meet her next time. Even if she told Rilos, he would not cast some strange soul spell on me to check my real ident.i.ty inside this city." Abium"s lips curved upward and soon turned his head towards Yozis, who already took of that face-mask and asked in a deep tone.

"What are you planning to do for the next two weeks?"

"Hm? I don"t know. I thought of just entering Royal street and search for something interesting." Yozis said with a sly smile on his face.

"What is it?" Abium also removed that mask and asked with a frown.

"Did you remember when both of us sneaked into an underground tunnel in the Royal capital of Keris kingdom five years ago to steal a key?" Yozis said with a grin while Abium started to feel anxious. But without any other choice, he simply nodded while trying his best to act normally.

"I think there must be something like that hidden under that royal castle. So, how about it? Should we start searching together?" Yozis said with a wide grin on his face, which made Abium"s eyes open wide.

"You are insane! I can tell that place must be the one which Teacher Rilos want to explore with us on the gathering. If we go now, we will be killed by academic mages." Abium shouted with an angry tone. At the same time, inside his mind, he started cursing.

"d.a.m.n! This guy is insane. Azolla, now I completely agree with you."

"Kid, why not just explore it with him now? You may find secrets hidden in there." Azolla said with a chuckle while Abium rolled his eyes and replied.

"I"m not a fool. I can wait for a few more days and explore along with that necromancer Rilos." As he said to Azolla inside his mind, Abium shifted his gaze towards Yozis and responded with a firm tone.

"I have some work to do. If you want to explore, do it on your own."

"Okay. So, where can I find you after I finish exploring that place?" Yozis asked casually.

"I may be busy for the next few days. I will join you on 28th Morning at the Royal Street entrance." Abium said and started walking towards where the Black street was located without even turning back. Meanwhile, Yozis simply shakes his head and started moving towards where the Royal street was located.
