Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 34

Drops of crimson blood-drenched on Abium"s bosom. On his hand, a petty figure rested motionless and appeared she was already in her dream world. At the very moment, a lady with fox ears arrived in front of him, with tears streaming from her eyes. She instantly took that child"s body and examined what had happened to her child.

A low painful moaning noise came out of Nicolaus"s mouth from the other side, awakened Abium up from the daze. He froze for a few seconds without even knowing what to do next. The change was too sudden, which made his thoughts left in chaos.

"Thank G.o.d! She is growing through her first beast transformation!"

Rea.s.suring words appeared from Fennelis"s mouth, and Abium soon started to concentrate on the unseen, concealed opponent. This time Abium took lightly and hadn"t antic.i.p.ated there was still an enemy left. No one saw how that attacker able to severed Nicolaus"s wrist. Abium knew that fighting against a hidden enemy was scarier than fight against a mighty warrior.

The only noise reverberated inside that hall was the dropping blood sound from Nicolaus"s hand. Abium applied the scan function and noticed no sign of enemy appeared on the remote map. The fire seems to dissolved slowly in the outside ward and which caused them to even more blinded. Slowly everyone considered moving outside, and Nicolaus picked up his severed wrist.

But Abium swiftly marked a red dot that appeared out of nowhere behind Nicolaus. He immediately went two steps onward and obstructed that dark shadow"s attack towards Nicolaus"s nape. Pitch-Black scimitar caught his sight, and he noticed it attempted to thrust with more strength.

Abium"s body went numb for a split moment. He felt like he obstructed an iron wall using his sword. Once again, the figure vanished from there, and Abium found no trail left behind by that creature. But this point, Abium managed to a.n.a.lyze that figure.

And shortly, the details displayed around the corner of his vision.

[Name: Unknown

Age: Unknown

Race: Undead

Cla.s.s: Phantom killer

Attributes

Strength: 5.8

Agility: 6.4

Spirit: 3.5

Skills: Shadow teleport, unknown]

"Careful of shadows! It"s some undead creature called phantom killer."

"What the h.e.l.l are you talking? Because of you, I am in this condition, you b.a.s.t.a.r.d!"

Nicolaus clutching his severed wrist and cursed at Abium with bloodshot eyes.

"Calm down, lad! Don"t lose focus; listen to his words! I don"t know what happens between you two, but Abium seems to know more about these skeletons than us."

Fennelis spoke to Nicolaus and soon changed into her beast form. Abium wiped the sweats on this face and stared vigilantly around the shadows. They hastily walked towards outside towards the courtyard and eventually got out of the main hall. But even after half an hour, no attacks came after them, and Fennelis and Nicolaus loosened their guard and started to rest while Abium took guard position.

Abium continuously watched at the remote map and often scanned the surroundings. A few moments later, Abium noticed the enemy appeared a few meters away from them. It stayed inside that main hall and watched them continuously.

Abium felt an immersive amount of bloodl.u.s.t oozed from the figure, which gave him stiffen for the first time. Breathing grew chill, and swiftly he perceived an attack coming towards their direction.

Instantly Abium"s brain processing speed intensified, and he saw a crystal, No! It"s an ice needle targeting and moving towards Fennelis. Abium took an offensive stance and imbued his mana into the sword and then gashed towards that needle. His sword aura blocked that ice needle.

But, once his weapon stuck that ice needle, the ice needle explodes, and fog spreads everywhere and almost covered the fort courtyard. Once more, a sword aura emerged from Abium"s weapon, and he slowly waited for the enemy"s appearance. That fog quickly obstructed their visions and senses. Everyone immediately guarded up and prepared for any unexpected attack.

"Wait for my order! I will notify you whenever the enemy arrived nearby."

Nicolaus and Fennelis both nodded their heads, and three of them defended Umi, who rested on the ground. Blood on her mouth seemed to disappear, and everyone understands that she was going through a painful process. Once again, the enemy emerged in front of them and teleported in from of Abium. Without hesitation, Abium stuck that figure"s abdomen.

"Crack" "SKEEEEEEEE"

A sudden crack sound heard, and at the same time, a screeching noise echoed inside that fort. Abium once again tried to attack and noticed the enemy already disappeared.

"What happened? did you deal with any damage to that creature?"

"I guess so! I think it won"t attack us for at least half an hour. Also, I must use this opportunity to restore my mana."

"How are you so sure?"

"It"s spirit is depleting! It also needed time to replenish spirit to use that teleport skill."

Abium saw whenever that phantom killer used any skills it"s spirit becoming consumed. If his hypothesis was accurate, it seems to be cautious of them and attempting to frighten them off. It seems to be holding back its strength from them, although he didn"t understand why that creature was not killing them. He knew it was still hostile toward them. Once he notified them, Abium lay in a meditative posture and began to restore his mana.

After thirty minutes, Abium restored his mana and stood on the opposite side of the entrance to the main hall. He also pondered on how to deal with that undead creature.

This moment, as he predicted, that figure materialized in front of Nicolaus. Abium instantly threw a "Red orb" towards that figure and dragged Nicolaus away from there. The sphere exploded, and everyone examined the enemy"s presence and felt shaken.

A humanoid skeleton with pitch-black bones and many red signs resembled everywhere on those bones. Although some areas Abium saw, its bone appeared white and puzzled. It was carrying a scimitar on its hand and stood in front of them.

It hesitated for a while and then quickly tried to gash its scimitar towards Nicolaus, who still stood nearby but was instantly encircled by three of them. Abium didn"t leave that phantom killer an opportunity to escape and slashed repeatedly. It applied shadow teleport skill to get away, but Abium pursued its movement using "blink" spell and delivered a finishing strike.

Eventually, it"s head spinning on the ground, and soon all bones turned into ashes leaving that scimitar behind. A white humanoid form appeared from that ash, and Abium suddenly thought of his spirit form. It looks exactly like his spirit form except for some differences. It bowed towards him and dispelled from that place. Then he glanced at others and a.s.sumed they didn"t notice any spirit form. He baffled for a second and walked towards the scimitar.

[Item: Steel Scimitar

Quality: Low tier artifact

Element: Water

Skills: Ice needle, Mist of confusion.]

A piece of detailed information appeared on his sight, and Abium presented that to Fennelis. Abium inspected both Fennelis and Umi before and found both have water elemental affinity and thought she might need it. It won"t be useful for Nicolaus, who had a wind element.

[Mission: completed]

"That"s it! Where is the reward?"

Nicolaus said and stared at the screen, and others also confused a little.

"Wait! There are still some areas we haven"t explored yet! Follow me!"

Abium spoke those words and walked inside the hall. There was nothing but s.p.a.ce and doorways installed on all the sides. They checked one by one, and finally, when they opened the last entry, all of them froze in shock.

Inside that chamber, there appears to be a crystal set at the heart and surrounding that were many kinds of weapons, clothes, wands, rings, techniques, and potions appeared. Abium decided to scan those items, but some invisible power completely blocked his scan. He tried to grab a weapon and felt the same invisible shield blocking. Slowly everyone saw a small screen appeared in front of that crystal.

[ total number of points: 1050 points (50 for slaying 50 skeleton soldiers + 200 for slaying 100 Elite skeleton soldiers + 120 for slaying 40 Skeleton a.s.sa.s.sins + 80 for slaying 8 Death Knight + 100 for Slaying 1 necromancer + 500 for slaying 1 Phantom killer from the undead realm.)]

Anium and others gawked at those points and eventually able to guess they have to purchase those rewards utilizing these points. Because Abium was familiar with those screens, he was able to understand easily.

Once again, they looked at those rewards and noticed numbered emerged near them.

Sword of deception – 1000 points...etc...]

Everyone stared at those details one by one with wide eyes. But most of them require more points to purchase a single artifact.

Abium first checked healing items that might fix Nicolaus"s hand.

"An intermediate tier potion would do that job correctly. I think it is enough to reattach that wrist."

[Potions:

Abium quickly touched the intermediate tier healing potion, and everyone immediately notices the points diminished from 1050 to 750. Next moment the vial appeared outside the invisible protective shield.

[Item – Healing potion

Tier – Intermediate tier

Details – Brewed by a high priest of the mother G.o.ddess, and this potion holds a restorative property that restores large wounds and reattaches severed limbs.]

Abium took that potion and grasped Nicolaus"s hand then poured that potion at his wrist. Then Abium took the severed wrist from his other hand and connected it with Nicolaus"s hand. Slowly the wrist part restored, and quickly everyone perceived Nicolaus"s hand healing. Next, Abium recalled something and proceed to explore inside that potion section.

After a few minutes of continuous search, Abium discovered a potion and without hesitation, brought two of them without minding others shouting. Both of them cost 350 points.

[Item: Bloodline strengthening potion

Tier: Low tier

Details: This potion strengthens the quality of the ancestral bloodline inside one"s body. Because of its low tier, it will only enhance their bloodline from ordinary to Elite rank]

Abium quickly took those potions and presented it to Fennelis.

"This is a bloodline strengthening potion. Drink it, and you will able to help us in the upcoming fight. Also, quickly pour it in Umi"s mouth, it might a.s.sist her directly enter into Elite Rank."

Fennelis immediately took that potion, then pour it into Umi"s mouth and also gulped one for herself.

Once she finished swallowing that potion, she instantly blanked out and dropped on the floor.

Abium suddenly noticed he and Nicolaus were the only person inside that chamber. Both awkwardly stood there without saying any word.

A bone-cracking noise came from the place where both Fennelis and Umi placed. Both examined the temperature began to drop inside that chamber and felt chilly all over the place. Frost arrived inside that room and gradually spread towards the surroundings.

Then runes emerged from Umi"s and Fennelis body, then it forms into two fox appearances, and both noticed those two foxes grew in size. At first, that white foxes appeared one meter tall, and two meters in length, but their growth almost tripled. Once the growth finished, it slowly went into both of their bodies.

Abium and Nicolaus dumbly stared at the place where those foxes stood before and gradually moved a few steps away from them. Nicolaus was the first one spoke in a startled tone.

"I honestly envy of their growth method now."

"But they were the ones slaughtered and enslaved all over the continent."

Nicolaus agreed at Abium"s response and suddenly noticed Fennelis and Umi slowly regained their consciousness.

"What happened to both of you? Why both of you appear to be startled?"

"N-Nothing! L-Look there! The next Mission appeared on the screen."

Nicolaus spoke in a stuttering voice and moved closer towards the crystal ball and touched.

Once he touched that crystal, Abium instantly felt his head began to whirl, and soon he banged into the ground. He slowly woke up and found himself in some cave. He searched for the surroundings and found others stood behind him. Fennelis was holding her daughter without any difficulty, while Nicolaus nearly lost conscious.

"This is why I hate long-distance teleportation."

A low mutter came out of Abium"s mouth as he observed the surrounding.

He a.s.sumed they arrived in some underground mining cave.
