Rebirth Of Abium

Chapter 45

Before Abium entering inside that reception room, he saw a figure standing there a few feet away from that room. He wore a small black hood that covered half of his face, which made Abium froze for a second.

Even though the hood covered that guy"s half of the face, Abium was sure he had met him in the past.

"Huh! I have seen him before! But where?"

He tried to wrack his brain but couldn"t able to guess who he was.

"Do you know him?" Azolla asked him, and at the same time, a minute spiritual wave scanned that figure. Abium nodded his head and wondered.

"Oh? A second-tier necromancer! Kid, if you know a powerful person, then why not ask him to bid that fairy for you?"

Abium almost fell when hearing that answer.

"Necromancer!? Why did he come here?."

"Who is he? kid."

"He must be one of the "Order of the dead" members. Thank G.o.d I am in the royal capital. If not for the royal mages, he might slaughter everyone, and he will take whatever he wants." He grumbled.

"Don"t talk nonsense, kid. Who told you necromancers are bad peoples? Although sometimes they capture mortals and do experiments, but that"s all. They won"t slaughter everyone. They will do these things only when they see something precious."

"Oh? But from my experience, these necromancers will completely slaughter a whole city without batting an eye."

Azolla went silence for a long time and spoke.

"Kid! Then what will you do when they found out you have a Nether crystal in your pocket. These Nether crystals are very precious material for them."

This time, Abium eyes went wide and asked in a panic.

"W-What? Are they important to these necromancers?" Abium stuttered.

"Well! It can help this necromancer breakthrough into the next tier."

Abium nearly fell on the ground and soon started to ponder inside his mind.

"If what Azolla said was true, then after this auction, it will be going to become huge chaos."

Abium made a wry smile and entered the reception room.

The one received Abium was a young man who looked a bit over twenty. He was wearing a black gown and appraising a small azure stone on the table.

Abium took a glance and thought. "He should be a decent appraiser."

After seeing Abium coming through the front door, he nodded. "Take a seat."

Abium scratched his nose and sat in front of that young Appraiser.

Just as he was about to explain why he had come, that young man waved his hand and impatiently said.

"Okay, you can leave me the material you want to sell and leave. I will appraise it and then sell it at a reasonable price. You can come and get your money after the auction is over."

Abium felt a bit uncomfortable with this and thought how to explain. Although he doesn"t know the value of these two crystals, but he could guess these crystals were very important. Seeing Abium pondering, that young Appriser could only nod annoyingly.

"I still have important work waiting for me so that I can give you two minutes."

Abium smiled and put the two crystals on the table. Once he put that Nether crystal and ice crystal, that young Appraiser gave a puzzled look. But soon, his expression grew serious.

"Ice elemental crystal? But how should a commoner have elemental crystal?" At first, he stared suspiciously towards Abium, and soon, he made a decision.

"It"s better to ask the chief."

Without saying any word, he ran out of the room to inform the higher-ups. Soon the door to the reception room opened from the other side.

The person coming in was an older woman. She was quickly over sixty, with wrinkles and silver hair. She was wearing a wrinkled, red gown and was panting as she came in as if she had run the whole way over.

"You brought two unique crystals?"

"You are…?" Abium stopped as he looked at the older woman, feeling puzzled. In his mind, there was no memory of that person at all.

The older woman looked at Abium for a second, then her eyes widened and smiled warmly.

"Welcome, Mister Mage. Let me introduce myself; I am Tabitha, Orchid Auction house"s Chief Appraiser."

"Greetings, Ma"am, my name is Abium. Also, I am just an apprentice mage." Abium politely greeted her while pondering what he knew about this person. He had heard the name of Orchid auction house"s Chief Appraiser, Tabitha, quite a few times.

She was a person worthy of being the same level as Rowan, as he was a Second-tier mage. But like the Orchid Auction house, she had always been a low key.

"Well, even if you are an apprentice, I know you will soon become an official mage, Mister. Our Orchid auction house wishes to cooperate with mages like you. If you have any other materials like this, feel free to auction it here!"

Yes! Abium knew any unique crystal would sell in this auction for very high prices.

"What will that necromancer do if he saw this nether crystal appeared in this auction."

He puzzled inside and listened to Tabitha.

That young Appraiser was also a little startled and listened to their conversation.

"Who is this young Mage?" A question appeared in that young Appraiser"s mind. Because every mage he knew were n.o.bles, so the appearance of this half-elf puzzled him.

"Thank G.o.d! I said nothing, disrespectful."

Meanwhile, Abium nodded with no issue and agreed.

"Okay."

She hurriedly started explaining.

"Mage Abium, I wonder if you heard that the Orchid Auction holds an auction every three months?"

"I have, of course," Abium replied as he nodded. The Orchid Auction house was a grand occasion in the whole Peral kingdom. And that was the reason Abium came here today.

"Then Mage Abium, if you are willing, I hope that you are willing to bring your two materials to the Orchid auction. It will happen in a few hours, what do you think?"

"I would love to sell it, but I need money immediately. There is something I want to bid in the Orchid auction, so I would need money right now to compete." Abium decided to explain his reasoning honestly.

When she heard his explanation, the squinting Tabitha suddenly smiled.

"Mage Abium, This is an easy matter to deal with. I can appraise your two materials right away. But much they initially valued at is how much credit we will front you to use it in the auction. I can guarantee that the final price will exceed my estimation."

"That should be good." Abium nodded and took out the two crystals from his pocket.

Tabitha glanced at them for a moment before an expression of Amazement appeared on her face. She promptly grabbed the two crystals and frowned as she carefully a.n.a.lyzed them.

"Nether crystal?"

"Indeed. Nether crystal."

Abium calm answer made Tabitha hold her breath. "My G.o.d…"

"Nether crystal! It"s actually nether crystal!"

Tabitha felt overjoyed. But a random apprentice mage brought out such precious materials here made her puzzled.

It was the rumored Nether crystal that could increase necromancer"s spirit. And also let any second-tier necromancer breakthrough into a higher tier. That crystal had appeared in front of her, made her eyes wide open.

After that surprise, she soon recovered and was looking at the other crystal.

"That"s Ice crystal."

This time, Tabitha let out a long sigh. Although the water mage would only use these ice crystals, still it was another rare crystal very hard to find.

"Ha! Another surprise! Do you have any idea about the value of these crystals?"

"From the clothes this half-elf kid is wearing, I can tell he is a commoner, and he doesn"t know the original value." She wondered how this half-elf managed to build two models and increase his spirit to that level!

Abium startled by her sudden outburst, and soon, he made an excuse and replied.

"No! Ma"am, these two crystals were the last treasure my mentor gave it to me before he died."

Tabitha nodded her head and studied the crystal. But after studying those two crystals for a long time, she said.

"Mage Abium, this Nether crystals is too precious. If you cooperate with our Orchid auction house, we will use this nether crystal as the last of the auction. But now I give you 2000 white gold for your bidding."

Abium bowed his head, and soon, she took out a small chest from her ring and gave it to him.

"Good then. Thank you for your kindness, ma"am."

"You are too polite." Initially, she came to see if that unique crystal was some rare minerals used for potions. But she hadn"t expected this young mage would bring out two elemental crystals! Although the Nether crystal"s size was small, but its value was much more than regular crystals.

She knew many necromancers came to attend this auction this morning.

A Nether crystal completely threw the original plan for the auction into chaos. She had to hurry and amend the original arrangement before the auction started. The sudden appearance of the two crystals would have amazing results.

"Then, Mage Abium, I"ll go off first."

After Tabitha politely said a few words, she hurriedly bade farewell. But before going out, she called out that young Appraiser to take care of Abium and departed.

"Tobin! Take care of our guest."

Now only Abium and that young Appriser Tobin stood in the reception room.

"Do you know anyone registered in Baron Auguivare"s name?"

Tobin startled a bit and responded in a nervous tone.

"Yes, Mage Abium. They are staying in the 23rd room."

Abium nodded his head and thought of meeting them earlier would be better.

"Can you please guide me there? I think they must be waiting for my arrival."

Tobin quickly led Abium to the normal room. On the way, Abium saw some luxurious private rooms inside that auction hall. Those were one of the auction house best rooms, and there were only a total of 16 of these rooms.

High-rank n.o.bles and second-tier mages had the qualification to sit in these rooms. Low-level n.o.bles, merchants, and others could only sit on the normal seats and bid.

After a minute, they arrived in front of that normal room where Helena and baron were staying. Abium knocked on the door and waited.

Soon a young man opened the door and gave a puzzled look at both of them. Abium also thought he met this guy before and soon both recognized each other.

"Mister! Come inside. My lord and Miss Helena were waiting inside for your arrival."

Abium soon recalled his name and replied.

"Thank you, Mr. Richard."

Yes! He remembered this young man because he was one of the Baron"s disciples.

Once Abium entered that room and noticed three figures chattering about something serious. Abium also saw another one of Baron"s disciples stood behind them.

They also noticed his sudden arrival, and soon, Helena and Baron stood up.

"Lad! You really made us worried. If I didn"t come with this child, I don"t know how she will rescue her sister."

"I apologize for my late arrival, my lord." He bowed towards them and soon shifted his gaze to Helena. Then only he noticed a dark aura surrounded her body and learned elemental power.

"Wow! She is really mad."

She gave glare towards him and asked in hurriedly. She was really anxious inside during the last two months.

"Abi, did you bring money for bidding?"

He quickly rubbed his chin and nodded his head.

"I auctioned two crystals, and the Chief Appraiser gave me money for bidding beforehand. So don"t worry, we will rescue your sister."

As soon as he finished his word, a big grin emerged on her face and promptly walked back.

"Did ya have some liquor lad? These b.a.s.t.a.r.ds got nothing in this auction."

A small figure arrived near to him, cursed at the young appraiser. Before Kuran finished his word, Helena gave a kick and his b.u.t.t, and he crashed on to the table.

"Girl! Don"t your parents teach ya how to treat an old man?"

Kuran got up and complained. Abium shook his head and turned his head toward"s baron and spoke.

"Lord! I didn"t expect you to come with Helena all the way here."

"Haha! Don"t worry, kid. It is a small thing."

Baron replied and turned his head to that young Tobin.

"When is the auction going to start?"

"It will start in 2 hours, my lord."

Baron nodded his head, and everyone waited in that room.

Soon a bell sound rang, and Baron, Abium, and Helena moved towards the main hall. Because of rare auctioning happens once in three months, Baron could be only able to book three seats. Abium, Helena, and Baron were the ones who would take part in the auctioning.

Soon three of them arrived at the site of the auction, the second floor of the Orchid auction house. It was so vast that it could hold nearly a thousand people.

When three of them arrived, they could see many of them sitting in the VIP area up ahead.
